Bruno grins through the fire. When it does the rest of his hair is badly singed and he had a slightly crazy look on his face.

To Nazz's questions, Siff absently glances around the temple, "Uh, yeah, the temple's pretty too..."

She's about to ask Nazz why Bruno was talking so much, when things get interesting.

Holding a hand up to her face against the heat of the column bursting from the dragons' mouth.

A fist of blackened sking clenched at her side, a series of abyssal and arcane syllables croaks from her lips, her eyes narrowed, the fist flashes forward, unleashing orbs of concentrated chaos...

In that split second, iradyiel’s senses overwhelm him: hearing Khan ask “can we kill it yet” and then seeing and hearing the dragon scorch Bruno as Darya screams “Kill Him,” smelling Bruno’s singed hair seeing the dwarf scorched but still standing asking “Is that the best you got”. Iradyiel acts out of near instinct he steps out of the shadow, having both weapons already drawn he slashes both blades at the creatures soft inner calf, attempting to hamstring it.

Her eyes flashing with golden fire, Darya's entire body is enshrouded in what appears to be golden flames, her blade pulsing with divine power.

"You wanted my attention, now you have it!" she says, her voice echoing through the chamber. "Attempted murder, theft, DEFILING A TEMPLE!....guilty by evidence, guilty by your own admission....In Ragathiel's name I sentence you to DEATH!" the Paladin shouts, her shimmering blade plunging down into the dragon's body with an intense sizzling sound.

"Inheritor bless you." Nazz mumbles down to the unconscious priestess before turning her eyes on dragon, a growl building in her throat. Surging forward as she drew her sword the growl broke free from her lips as she let the hate flow and directed it. "Inheritor take you!"

Nazz and Darya arrive like twin thunderbolts. Esch swing causes the dragon to reel, then it makes a fatal error and gross its head to cope with the pain.
Bruno roars, and his pick swings down on the back of the its skull

Siffs missles explode upon his chest,
Iradiel slices it's achellies and dodges as it falls back onto it's butt,
Darya holy hairballz her sword into it's neck,
while Nazz strikes expertly upon it's left flank.
Finally Bruno's pick lodges in it's skull.

Reeling from the mighty blows of each hero the dragon begins to whimper. Yield! I yield!!!

"I can see into his soul and it is as black as the darkest night, we end this now!" Darya says her voice still ringing.

"'When in doubt, I may force my enemies to surrender, but I am responsible for their lives'... unfortunately. Dragon! What are the terms of your surrender?" Nazz asks as she moves aside Darya, keeping her sword raised though.

Also readied an attack incase Mr. Dragon tries anything.

Well it was still worth writing. Some Bruno, somewhere in the multiverse, just died!

But not this one, baby!

The dragon hisses as Nazz lops it's head clean off. It's body twists and thrashes, causing Iradyiel to do a nimble dance, avoiding being crushed. The head itself, being of a magical beast, continues to shout cureses for a few moment: You have vanquished me, Oh, the agoniny! My broodsisters will avenge me! Finally Xantheriax, self proclaimed lord of the Norhtern Underdark, lies still. As the life fully lifts from it's head, the eyes of this evil but beautiful dragon turn in to perfect diamonds, each worth 2d4 + 100 + 500 ⇒ (3, 2) + 100 + 500 = 605gp. It's hide is very beautiful and would certainly be good for something.

Bruno breathes heavy as his rage subsides. His face feels more like leather than it did a few minutes ago. Burned leather. And cracking. He groans and plops down against the wall.
Owwww...
He smells even worse than normal with all that smouldering hair.

after all that damage it was still fighting Iradyiel stands amazed as the dragon declares it will not surrender and lunges for Bruno, Just as Nazz lops it's head off with her greatsword. He dances out of the way as the beast falls to the ground, as it breaths its last threat. Seeing its eyes turn to diamond Iradyiel momentarily forgets its threat of revenge as he thinks about the diamonds. Those well be worth a pretty penny, I wonder if any of the rest of it is worth any thing, don't witches pay for dragons gizzards, or is it there craw. As the dragon drops so does Bruno, Iradyiel hearing Bruno plop to the ground and moan out, trying to ignore the smell of singed hair, pulls out the vial of healing clw that he picked up in the basement and handing it to Bruno says "Here drink this, I think it will help! That was awesome did you see that, well of course you did you were..." realizing that his excitement was getting the better of him, he stops dancing about and pulls the cork off of the vial and holds it to help Bruno drink it. Grinning silly the entire time.

Keeping her sword ready incase it tried to flop or flap about some more Nazz cautiously moves over and plucks the diamonds up. Wiping one clean on her clothes she then turns and heads for Siff. "Maybe not as beautiful as a whole dragon but still beautiful nonetheless." she says as she offers the woman the gem.

Siff watches , amazed , as her friends pounce upon the dragon and summarily dispatch it.

Walking up , she distractedly takes the gem Nazz offered, looking down upon it laying in her palm. She looks from the gem to the dragon's carcass, "How can something so beautiful, be so terrible....evil?" she asks quietly, to no one in particular, Nazz's comment on her own beauty ringing around in her head.

"Beauty can be a mask worn to make monsters appealing, or it can be a reflection of what is inside. I peered into the dragon's soul and saw a churning darkness seeking it's next victim." Darya says as she places a hand on Bruno's shoulder, the white flame once again dancing along her hand.

"You didn't need to peer into its soul to figure that out. We should make a coat or something out of him."

"Not a bad idea. We'd have to find someone capable of doing it but that could work." Darya replies.

Moving over to the priestess Nazz had dragged to safety, the Paladin takes one of the potions over to the woman, kneeling and gently pouring the draught into the preiestess' mouth, cradling her head as she does.

"I knew someone who always offered to do that kind of work, though I didn't trust his skill. Yes yes."

After giving Bruno the potion, Iradyiel turns and looks at the dragon. The realization of what they have just done setting in, he shudders involuntarily. We just killed a dragon, well they killed it, I just stabbed it in the back-side while it wasn't looking smiling momentarily, Cheeky... Siff is right it was beautiful... and deadly, but it's not the only one. Hearing Khan discus making a coat, I wouldn't even know how to start Iradyiel asks "do any of you know how to skin an animal? Do you think any of the other parts are worth saving?"

Taking her hand she cups the side of Siff's face. "While it's poetic to link someone's beauty to a mask or to a mirror to their soul it's just that, the stuff for poets to try and make stories out of. You are a good person Siff. Who also happens to beautiful. And who also happens to have dark powers, that you put to good use. You are you because of what you do, not because of who you are."

Standing up again Darya smiles seeing Nazz reassure Siff. Both women where incredibly appealing in vastly different ways, yet undeniable what was common to both was the trace of darkness within their good, that made them...vulnerable and formidable at the same time.

Bruno sighs as the healing softens some of his badly burned skin, but he is far from healed. 9/21

Lady Caronna, the Tigersoul, opens her eyes. Comming to, she sits up with a start. Dragon! There's a dragon! Be careful everyone, get to safety! She is obviously delerious.

"Calm yourself sister, the dragon lies slain." Nazz says calmly without taking her gaze off of Siff

"He will defile your temple no more...although it might be a while before you get all the blood out of the flagstones." Darya adds.

Iradyiel stops staring at the dragons carcass and turns to the priestess, "Pardon my asking, how long had it been here? the ferryman said he hadn't seen you for thirteen days."

Caronna rubs the back of her neck. ouch. Gonna have to stretch later. It showed up about a week ago. Sound woke me up while I was sleeping in my chamber. When I peaked in here I caught it chewing on the collection box and searching for treasure. It wasn't a very old or powerful dragon, and I've faced worse. So I suited up and strode in here ready to fight. I had to retreat 4 times and we faught for 3 days. Then finally the bastard caught me flat-footed and knocked me down. Carnonna looks at Iradyiel. Have you ever had a dragon put it's paw on your chest and give you it's weight? Nearly cracked my armor! She raps her fingers on her chest plate. But looks like I survived. Thank's to Iomedae's armor, and to you all! Where did you come from?

"We actually hail from above....Kenebres. There was an attack, from within the Worldwound and at least some part of the city has fallen but in the process we all found ourselves down here." Darya says looking at Caronna. " One of those we seek to help is gravely stricken and infected and we came to the temple seeking healing for him and found that bastard here and you on the brink of death."

Siff takes a deep breath and nods, lifting her own hand to squeeze Nazz's tight, before corraling a stray strand of blue hair and tucking in behind her ear.

Smiling at Nazz, she gives the woman's hand another squeeze of thanks then turns as the other's attention goes to the wounded priestess.

"Darya speaks true. He was infected by the eggs of a horrible fly. Hopefully you can help him." Siff says quietly, unconsiously intimidated by the priestess.

Adria, Is the Priestess Caronna human, mongrelman or something else? Would anyone recognize the dragons claws as adamantine

no, no, I have not, I've not done hardly anything... before today Shaking his head no, he looks away from the injured priest. Listening as Darya and Siff explain their situation, Iradyiel begins picking up the coins and putting them in the chest. He looks up from his task, reiterating Siff's question, and asks "Might you be able to help him, we asked the ferryman to wait for us."

I would say recognizing dragon talons as adamantine would be Knowledge Nature or Craft Arms/Armor DC15?

Lady Caronna stans up. All who come to this shrine are healed. Come follow me. I just need a chance to get this armor off!

She leads you through a doorway on the south wall. There is a kitchen here.

Khan will help carry the body, following Lady Carrona. He puts the man down and will help her take her armor off with all the professionalism he can muster.

Smiling back at Siff's smile Nazz then leaves with Shear to get Horus and bring him to where she requested before helping remove her armor. Not all that hard for someone having previous knowledge of aiding in removing and donning similar armor on fellow crusaders.

Seeing both Nazz and Shear follow Lady Caronna, Darya stays with the others, keeping a eyes on Gwerm's unconscious body and taking in the rest of the temple.

After thus being de-armored and thanking her assistants, the Priestess Caronna bedecks herself in priestly robes. Contempletively, she opens a glass case which contains a golden leifed wand. This should do it, She says. Returning to the kitchen, the Lady inspects the wounds. Then lifting her eyes upward she mumbles prayers and waves the wand over Gorum's poor body. A blue light, which flows like water in tiny bubble shapes, spreads underneath Gorum, lifting his body off the table. Before your very eyes the white, deeply entrenched eggs begin to eject themselves from his body and his wounds close and heal. The eggs roll along the ground, one coming to rest at Iradyiels' feet, the other scattering around the room. They pulse with the abyssal-insectoid life gestating inside them.

Gorum opens his eyes. I am alive!

Not wasting any time in stomping around the room to put the abominable vermin out of existence with her bare feet the awakened the Gwerm's outburst tinged upon a memory of hers.

There was a Pharasmin healer who upon hearing a similar outburst would coldly reply no and tell the confused crusader to stop holding up the line for judgement. The look on both party's faces a breath later was priceless to her.

It was little things like that that taught her lying was not always bad, especially when used to lighten the perpetually dismal mood and morale in these lands. Even if she couldn't lie, even for a good cause, she was always envious of those that stood out bright and happy in the darkness.

Darya and Bruno with their unabashed joy in combating evil and spurring others on. Siff in her humbleness and eagerness to help. Iradyiel in his nativity. And Shear had his animalistic pureness but also his power to heal others. Outside of killing where did she fit in?

She shoved the thought away as she smacked her foot hard to the cold floor, squashing another maggot and feeling it ooze and jelly up between her toes.
