When Lanny shouts, she rushes to him "what of the Chief. ..the old man? " She asks
Lamm answers Siff: He was safe in the main hall last i checked. I left him with 3 guards. This is a great victory my friends! I believe that women you killed was the source of our troubles over the last few months. Well done!

Darya Flamekissed |

"Good to hear. Let's go make sure everyone is ok shall we?" Darya says retrieving her crossbow.

Nazz of Dyinglight |

Clucking her tongue Nazz crouches long enough to wipe her blade on the garments of a Templar before rejoining the others.

Iradyiel Madras |
As Iradyiel searches Hosilla's body he calls out "Hey guys, wait up a minute, can anyone identify any of this stuff, and do we want to keep it or do we want to sell it and buy more supplies?" Iradyiel stands up, his arms full with vials and wands, the chain shirt draped over one elbow and the glaive cocked at an odd angle in the other elbow, the unopened letter marked "confidential" waiving in his left hand and the bejeweled book in his right.

Nazz of Dyinglight |

"... might want to do one before the other." Nazz muses as she takes the chain shirt and the glaive to ease the rogue's burden somewhat.

Darya Flamekissed |

"Let's get settled and then we can go over everything." Darya responds.

Nazz of Dyinglight |

"How many casualties on our side?" Nazz asks to Lam as she approaches.

![]() |

Lamm responds: I saw Langston and Freita fall in the battle for the eastern shore. I have not heard of any other casualties. But the headcounts are still coming in.
Lamm bows to the Cleric, Lady Caronna. Come, Madam, we have wounded in need of your healing.
Lady Caronna nods to you all. Your injuries can wait. I will heal the civilians, then return to patch you up.

Nazz of Dyinglight |

"I'm fine." she says indifferently as Caronna goes off to heal the others before turning to Darya. "... what about you? You used up a lot of yourself on others," Nazz takes a quick breath as the memory of that sensation courses through her again. "Do you have enough for your own well being?"

Darya Flamekissed |

Darya smiles at Nazz' genuine concern. "I think I have enough left in me for one more." she says taking a deep breath as a glow spreads across her injuries.

Iradyiel looks up from the letter and says, "Hey guys, I hate to interrupt, but I think you need to read this!"

Darya Flamekissed |

As they continue walking Darya looks over at Iradyiel, taking the letter and reading it through. "So looks like she was a plant with advance notice of the attack. This goes a lot deeper than some surprise assault."

Nazz lets out an audible sigh of relief when she sees Darya heal herself, though she takes a little bit longer than she should when looking over her body to see if she has any other wounds.
Knowledge (History): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
She fumes however when she reads of the attack and plans. "S. V? Most likely Staunton Vhane, another traitor." she growls while thinking aloud.

Siff Doren |

Seeing the armful of equipment, Siff says "When we have a moment I'll look at those, Iradyiel."
Peeking over Darya's shoulder, "These names mean nothing to me...except Drezen...I think. How deep does this treachery go?"

Nazz of Dyinglight |

"Still enjoying this little outing?" Nazz asks the rogue as she arches a brow at his giggling.

Iradyiel Madras |
still enjoying this little outing? Huh, more than I thought I would Iradyiel continues smiling, turning to face Nazz, almost dropping the wand, "I was just thinking that you have a really long sword," pausing for a moment he crinkles his nose, "I mean a long sword, not a longsword, you know what I mean?" flustered by his own confusion, he shrugs his shoulders, this time dropping the wand.

In 4692 AR, soon after the start of the Fourth Crusade, a paladin of lomedae and renowned demon slayer named Yaniel spoke out against the Mendevian crusaders, accusing them of negligence and sloth, and claiming these faults
were what allowed Khorramzadeh to invade Kenabres and damage the wardston e. Her accusations cut too close to the truth, and in a moment of weakness her superiors threatened to excommunicate her. Instead, she said she would enter the Worldwound and fight the Fourth Crusade on her own, with only her magic sword Radiance for company. The church was happy to see Yaniel go, and in the 2 years that followed, she was thought to have been slain. Yet when she returned to Kenabres in 4694 AR, leading a small army of crusaders she'd rescued, both Yaniel and her superiors
had changed. For her part, Yaniel had shed her pride and insubordination, and had gained a new appreciation for the
difficult decisions leaders are forced to make. And the church leaders had learned that sometimes the truth is exactly what you need to hear. Alas, Yaniel was assassinated before the year was out, slain by the lilitu demon Minagho only a week into her second personal crusade. Her followers managed to return to Kenabres with Radiance, but Yaniel's body had been taken. The sword had gone dark after Yaniel's death, its magical powers apparently lost, and so the crusaders elected to place it in the Gray Garrison's Museum on display, along other crusade artifacts that inspire courage to the people. But worst of all, several months ago it was stolen from the museum. Oh the tragedy!!
Home of one Kandra Nyserian positioned in Kenabres's nobility.
You know where this shop is in town. Before the demons attacked Topaz Solutions was a relatively unassuming herbalist's shop that specialized in alchemical equipment and potions. Its proprietor is named Aigon Topaz
You know where this is too. The Tower of Estrod served Kenabres for decades as library and research laboratory owned by the city, but after its founder's mysterious death 2 years ago it's been sort of a dark and mysteriou place.

Nazz of Dyinglight |

What is it with men getting caught up about a sword's length? "I used to use a longsword..." she stops as her thoughts catch up to her and her gaze falls to the ground and then sword. "... but this is more appropriate for someone like me."

Iradyiel Madras |
She's a great warrior, probably trained to use all kinds of weapons, I barely know how to use shortswords Iradyiel, picks up the wand carefully so as not to drop anything else, oblivious to the undercurrent of imageries, "I could see you using a longsword, with a shield or buckler," not trying to tell Nazz her business "not that you need a shie.." swallowing hard "Just a lot of people who wear light armor use a shield to help," looking around at the carnage Nazz caused with her greatsword "Not that you need help, Course a lot of people who use light armor don't...use shields that is." I'm such and idiot
Trying to change the subject "Speaking of swords, Yaniel's Sword was a magic sword called "Radiance" but when she died it went dark apparently its magical powers gone. The crusaders put it in a Museum, then several months ago it was taken." he looked around quickly, "No one knows who took it" he adds quickly don't want them to think I had anything to do with it.

Nazz of Dyinglight |

Darya, being a mighty crusader
;_;
"Shields are for knights... and for people who want to live." Nazz says sourly.
After Ira goes on about Radiance that sourness turns into spite. "Then I suggest we go find someone who does." she growls as she cracks her knuckles.

Turning her head to look at Nazz, Darya rests a gentle hand on the other woman's shoulder. "Don't sell yourself short. The world needs more people like you.......Besides, there's something kinda hot about a girl who can swing a monster sword." she says with a small smile.
"If nothing else I think we know who took it now. If they were expecting her to bring it back, she or one of her allies must have it stashed somewhere."

Nazz about responds to the quip but shuts and purses her lips. "We can finish this conversation in private." she finally grumbles.

Bruno Bullrush |

Bruno has finally stopped panting while the others talked. He just followed and occasionally spat, just like Esmerelda. Talk of a stolen sword and betrayal was worrying, but he had nothing to add. He was a demon killer, not a detective.

Shaking her head, she holds out her hand at Iradyiel, "Let me see the wand."

A mongrelman kicks Hosilla's body. Unidentified Mongrelman: You say the magic sword Radiance was stolen? And you think it was this crone here? Well I don't see it on her. I wonder if she has it back at her lair. Even if she did, I certainly wouldn't go in there. I don't think Hosilla was the worst thing in that place.

Nazz of Dyinglight |

"Hopefully not, otherwise this would be a very boring retrieval mission." Nazz mused, missing Siff's reaction to her and Darya's conversation.

Iradyiel Madras |
After retrieving the dropped wand Iradiel, smiles as he hands it to Siff. He then places the blue potion with cyan bubbles CMW, the 2 x lchemist's fire, the tanglefoot bag, the antitoxin and the lockbox key in empty bandolier pockets. Holding the pink potion with copper specks and the bejeweled book out so he can hand them to Siff as well. Remembering he adds "The blue potion should be for healing if anyone needs it."
Listening to the Mongrel man It would be safe to assume its somewhere else, The worst thing in that place? Boring retrieval mission? Iradiel looks at Nazz and Darya, "A little boring would be ok, right?" then addressing the Mongrelman, "speaking of her 'lair' do you know where it is?"

Something in Siff's tone or expression catches Darya's attention.
'Well that's interesting. She is undeniably gorgeous and she's got the heart of a fighter as well. Huh. How is it that at what seems like the end of the world you manage to find yourself....in the presence of truly amazing women?'

Iradyiel Madras |
Iradyiel, handing the potion to Siff, waits to see of she wants to look at the book, turns from Siff to Darya to Nazz, What am I missing here? as Nazz comes over and quietly speaks to Siff Iradyiel asks, "Do you two want to talk, I can go over there somewhere if you do" he points back over by the boat "I can leave the book here If you want me to, just let me know Ok?" He looks to each of the three of them again hoping someone will tell him what they want him to do. Well they'll either ignore me or tell me what's going on or they'll tell me to get lost. Guess it doesn't really matter as long as I get out of here. Maybe that Mongrelman will tell us where the Lair is so we can go fight something.

Nazz of Dyinglight |

Turning to look at Iradyiel Nazz offers the rogue a heartfelt expression. She was glad for his awareness of the conversation, but she didn't want to come out and tell him to leave either. "... um, thank you." she awkwardly says as she slowly takes the book from the man.

Iradyiel Madras |
have Siff check the chain shirt as well, could be mw or magical or mithral, please tell me it's mithral!
As Nazz slowly takes the book Iradyiel smiles and shrugs his shoulders well at least she's too polite to tell me to get lost, may as well make myself scarce, they want to talk. As she takes the book he tells her "I don't care how evil it is, don't let them throw it away, at least not till I pry the jewels off of it!" he then quickly goes over to Mongrelman that had been speaking and placing his arm around the creatures shoulders assuming this mongrelman has shoulders and not tentacles or something asks again, "So tell me and my friends where this lair is and who we need to speak to about buying supplies so we can go there."

Bruno Bullrush |

Bruno chuckles as he watches the awkward exchange from on high. C'mon, lad. Let's give the ladies some room.
He rides over to the mongrel leaders. Let's go make sure yer town is secure, then we'll go ahead an take care o' that lair.
