The old peddler turned out to be a dark and creepy fellow with very dark skin. You were glad to have gotten away from him, although his cart did contain some impressive things. Iradyiel got to handle a magical dagger with a pale green hue. The peddler warned that it could not be taken into the sunlight, and made you think of the stories of the great dark weapons for the drow. In the end, the price was too high. But you did get the wand of CLW, leaving you with the 685 gp Iradyiel planned.

After this, you began the journey north up the tunnels...


Who would be best to carry the clw wand? I assumed Khan is taking the front due to the survival skill, if that is not ok let me know, don't want to be overly presumptuous!

that was a very interesting knife, but the dark and creepy peddler weirded me out a little, just glad we are on our way. Moving north through the caverns Iradyiel takes the front with Khan, keeping his crossbow at the ready and a keen eye out as Khan follows the trail. Wow, Khan is very quite while the tracks, it must be the feline part of him.

You travel for most of the day until you come to a fork in the tunnels. The left hand tunnel goes DOWN sharply, and cool air flows up from it's depths. You hear a rumbling sound from that direction.

The right hand tunnel goes UP gradually. Above this tunnel's entrance, an inverted 5 pointed pentagramish star is painted with thick dried blood. Everyone knows this is the symbol of like baphomet or some other evil demon.

Iradyiel notices:
A very thin spiderweb like "wire" at ankle level stretched across the mouth of the right hand tunnel...

Iradyiel yells out to Khan "Stop Wait!" he quickly kneels down throwing one hand in the air in a fist the international sign to stop or should I say interracial sign to stop and with the other points to the 'wire'"[/ooc] he then pules out a couple of tools and attempts to disarm it.

Iradyiel carefully removes the web from the entrance keeping it's tension by laying the freed end under a stone. Then, he follows the line as it does a 90 degree turn and leads into the tunnel. Following this you all come to where it is connected to a small bell about 400 yards down. You are all silent at this point. Up ahead you see in the tunnel, a light. And in front of the light, two rows of rubble set up as a barrier. MAP UPDATED. You have arrived...

You sneak right up to the first line of rubble. On the other side, two cultist guards sit with their backs to the tunnel. One plays with a harrow deck and the other snoozes lightly. Beyond the barricade is a wooden door in the rock of the tunnel.


one playing cards, one asleep, do I go back and tell the group or do I jump them now, hhhmmm Iradyiel leans out so the group can see him and holds up two fingers and then points to the north behind the front was and then points to the east behind the second wall. Then he holds up his crossbow and points to himself then the crossbow and finally to the cultist behind the northern wall. Leaning back he levels the crossbow at the northern cultist squeezing the trigger, then dropping the crossbow he steps beside the man drawing his shortswords.

With limited room to act in the tunnel Darya advances with a measured stride, drawing her sword as she does, determined to ensure that her presence both protects and distracts from Siff and the others behind her.

Khan and Bruno shred one of the cultists: deep gashes across her chest from claws and a big gaping hole in her helmet from a pick. The second cultist gasps: Jamella! Look out! but seeing Jamella die she is so surprised that she attempts to flee toward the door...

His skill...I'd never had thought to do that, where did he learn such things...hmm, perhaps that's a question I shouldn't ask..

As the others pounce upon the surprised guards, Siff peeks around Darya's flame colored tresses, trying to keep track of what was happening.

Seeing Nazz's thumbs up, she smiles that no-one was hurt.

crap, totally botched that shot, glad the others rushed in, I should have gone back and told them, I was just barely able to stay out of there way. after the team finish off the cultist, Iradiel searches the two corpses for anything interesting and then quietly check the door for locks or traps.
