I meant that not in terms of having a specific design, but more that he literally just gouged portions of the bricks. However, I guess it would need to be some sort of small design even if it's just a pattern to the markings. Just assume that your half-elf acquaintance here has given you the description of it (the actual design is irrelevant, basically).

Sorry that took so long. I'm on vacation visiting my older brother for his birthday, so I'm away from home and in a hotel with less than stellar WiFi. With as much as we paid for the room, you'd think I could get internet that can play videos at a higher resolution than 480p without struggling...
I'll be back home in a few days, before hitting the road again to visit my girlfriend for our four year anniversary. I hope to keep stuff moving during that time frame, but you never know exactly how that'll pan out.

So, sorry on the radio silence, folks. I was on the road a lot this month, about half the month all together. I was away visiting my brother for his 30th birthday earlier in the month, and then I was out of town visiting my girlfriend for our four-year anniversary. So, I wasn't really able to post that frequently (or at all, honestly) because I was spending time with family and my girlfriend. I'm back now, and should resume a regular schedule. I've cooked up a nice little dungeon for us, but I hope to move us through at a good pace. Sorry for not giving you guys a heads up, but I expected to be able to post more at night when I was visiting my brother. Didn't end up happening, but I'm here now.

A heads up for all my games; I'm going to be camping from Monday to Wednesday, so I won't be able to post. Not that you have to go this way, but I do want to stress that heading south isn't impossible; you'd just need to jump the gap or get across it somehow. I wasn't sure that came across in my narrative, just wanted you to know you do have other options besides going north (if you so choose). There is also a door there, which I forgot to reveal when I showed that portion of the map.
Ah, I think Tosguld will still choose the north passage. More likely a traversable hallway will lead to their destination.
I think I'll roll Acrobatics to jump across and take a peek to see if the door has the mark by it at least. Better to check while we're here. I should be able to hit the DC to jump the gap with my eyes closed. Literally. My minimum jump distance is 20 feet on a Nat 1.
I can also jump eight feet in the air on an average roll, so apparently Mephiston is an Olympic athlete as well as a devil worshiping spy.
It's far too late to edit I believe, so just use my roll in my last post for that.
Maybe I was unclear, but you guys can get across the chasm normally. It's just that this bridge is difficult terrain.

Or can we at least see the tiefling since Meph is magically bending light around himself?
They're behind a wall, but Mephiston didn't mention that he was talking particularly quietly. So, you might not see him unless you move around to the other side of the inn, but you can hear Mephiston talking to someone which would obviously lend itself to an investigation.

Hey guys, I just wanted to give you a heads up that after a long hiatus, Azulth will be returning to the game. He hadn't had time to play for a while, but now life has settled down and he has more time to play and such; he'll be coming in with a new account to start fresh, but he's still playing the same character with a new alias. Sort of an... unintentional red herring. Some stuff I said was interpreted differently than I expected it to be, and then you guys went off to investigate it. I'm not really the type to say "no, you guys are wrong, go this way instead" so I decided we could take a little detour; you wouldn't have met Twist's brother yet otherwise so you do get something somewhat helpful out of it.

I was kinda hoping other people would post. I generally dislike posting after only 1 person has posted, especially if I've already done it a few times recently. I like to give people a chance to post and make decisions before I take one person's idea as the group consensus. Problem is, not a lot of people have really posted? I admit my own posting is sporadic but normally I at least see a few posts in between my own. A couple members of the group have been pretty silent; I don't know if they just don't have input at this point or if they've left us, or if something else is up.
I'd appreciate a little check-in just to make sure everyone is still following. If I don't hear from someone I'll shoot them a PM to see what's up.
