May I just say, you guys are awesome. You're definitely inspiring me to keep my game elevated. I love coming back to the boards and see if for a big fat "7" waiting for me in the Game play thread.
"Are you not entertained?"
Yes. Yes I am.

Professor Lennox, DM |

Alright, sir. Although if you see something of interest in the next few posts, be sure to let me know of you have preferences on how Lavios would react.
Have fun!

Professor Lennox, DM |

Beckett, Nosa and Phedron...posts coming tomorrow...
Tannery group, more details for you on the way. Feel free to post any other questions or things you'd like to observe while in the room. Karl, I'll be sure to take those excellent rolls into account when advancing to the next area.

Professor Lennox, DM |

Bit of a mess this weekend, but my typically slow Monday will not be happening with my BSF responsibilities done for he season. Full steam ahead this week!

![]() |

No worries at all. Good GMs are hard to find. We don't want to burn ours out... :)
Any one do any Star Wars fun for May 4th? I helped the wife & kids roll Edge of the Empire characters. I'm hopeful to run a session for them next weekend. :)

Karl Marsh |

I was at Disneyland for May the Fourth Be With You (Which almost makes me respond, "and also with you" everytime). It was thick with nerds, geeks, costumes and a light scent of unwashed bodies and mildewed clothing. Lots of Leia hair buns and the Yoda and Chewie backpacks.

Professor Lennox, DM |

When my brain wouldn't work for writing last night, I binged on Star Wars: Clone Wars on Netflix. Happy to see such wonderful writing for the show but just reminds me how bad Episodes 1 -3 were written. C'mon, when CG actors are better than the real thing... Awww heck, I'm gonna get on a soap box. Better stop here. But I will say, the Clone Wars series has a lot of heart.
Ok, back to the labs. Where was I? Oh yes, the crossing of jabberwacky genes and goblinoid liver material produces...
■□■□■
Ahh, man, Edge Of The Empire? I'm way jealous!

![]() |

Disneyland! Nice! That is one of my favorite places to go on vacation. We were there in December.
Couldn't agree more about the Clone Wars! They did such a great job with that show. We finally got to see Anakin Skywalker as a great leader, rather than a whiney little punk with mommy issues... :)

Karl Marsh |

Hey guys is anyone interested in hearing more of Karl's story? I will keep writing them if they are interesting to you guys, but if they are just, meh, I won't be offended if you guys tell me to skip it.

Drogan Anvilsong |

I haven't had a chance to read ALL of them (mostly the ones that show up when I'm at work occasionally get lost in the shuffle), but I really enjoy the ones I've read. I have no problem with backstory. ;)

Professor Lennox, DM |

I swear to goodness Karl, don't even think about not finishing that back story!
Ok, that out of the way, posts forthcoming tonight. Note the Campaign Info tab and the links under my avatar have been updated with fresh mappy goodness.
Also, Lavios, just want to make sure you have a chance to post if you want in regards to the findings in the basement.

Professor Lennox, DM |

Tannery Group, I've not forgotten you. Just wanting to get the other parties together. I've got your next stage set up, so stay tuned for a morning post.

![]() |

Yeah, good to get people together. On the site I do a lot of PBP'ing, I had picked up a second game which was a GURPS cyberpunk game. It was the coolest game, but it was a lot of work for the GM because everyone was split up. He eventually couldn't keep up, but man it was cool.
He'd give players opportunities for flashbacks and unique character perks they could unlock like achievements. Game me some great ideas for my home campaign. I just wish I could have finished it.
I digress... yes, good to get the group together.

GENCON
Who's going? Mike, I believe you are. I'll be there at least on one day (betting Friday), though Mike's description of the Sunday service makes me want to go on Sunday as well.

Drogan Anvilsong |

I will be arriving the Wednesday before the con starts. I'll be there until Sunday afternoon. When I'm not wandering around the floor, trying to get a game going, or occasionally stopping for food - I'll be at the booth repping InnRoads.

Professor Lennox, DM |

Boy oh boy I'd love go to GenCon! Especially to meet up face to face. But alas dinero is elusive fellow these days. If you happen to see him, tell him he owes me. ;)
Hope you guys have a blast!
★☆★☆Player Poll☆★☆★
1) On another note, I was wondering about something Lavios posted a while ago re: an online rp tool. While I wasn't able to get a hold of it - gracias, Sr. Dinero - it does bring up the topic of merging a portion of online play for this campaign. Perhaps some Roll20 action via Google Hangouts? What's the interest in such a venture?
2) We're coming to a pivotal point in the - oh my gosh it still is - the prologue. How are you guys liking your characters so far? Anything you'd change? Do you feel you're getting enough feedback in game from me for development?

Nosatrub |

I think roll20 would be fun to try. I'd certainly be up for it.
As far as Nosa is concerned, I'm having a ball with him. Still learning him as I go, along with how this whole thing works.
Loving the story as we'll.

Karl Marsh |

We can try whatever, I bet scheduling will be fun for that though.
The adventure is great and a lot of work to keep it flowing with the party split up. I hope we can keep up the momentum.
And #3 I want to be IN-Famous on the webpod or whatever they call the radio show on the ministry site.
#4 Lavios where did you go on your vacation and who did you go with?

I went to the North Carolina outer banks with some friends, real fun place.

My wife's request for Mother's Day:
1. Edge of the Empire (trying out her new Smuggler)
2. Lords of Waterdeep x 2
3. Settlers of Catan
4. Takenoko
5. Family prayer time
That there is a fine woman... 8^>

Nosatrub |

Wow Beckett you are a lucky man!
My wife is a wonderful woman, but I can't get her to play games at all.
We took her out for her favorite pizza and my daughter drew her an amazing, anime style card.

Drogan Anvilsong |

Here's a question for the more experienced in Pathfinder. The tannery folk are fighting a half-orc. Drogan has his "hatred" bonus against orcs and gobbies. For the role-playing portion of my inspire courage taunting, I very much played up that hatred, but as far as the game mechanic goes, does my attack bonus apply even though he's only a HALF-orc?

Professor Lennox, DM |

Why yes, Mr Drogan, half-orcs count as both humans and orcs for any effect related to race. So apply that bonus. Use your hatred...it makes you strong...good, good...

![]() |

Use your hatred...it makes you strong...good, good...
Hmmm... That sounds like a man who might be up for some Edge of the Empire someday... :)

Don't tempt me. I'll parallelogram us right to Tatooine if you're not careful. Heh....

![]() |

Would decorum have permitted swords with them in the Lieutenant's office?
Sorry for the delay. I tend to get to read on day and then post the next.

![]() |

Don't tempt me. I'll parallelogram us right to Tatooine if you're not careful. Heh....
There's nothing quite like blasting your way out Mos Shutta, with storm troopers on your tail, in the YT-1300 you acquired by double crossing the Hutt that was trying to double cross you... the engineer frantically trying to install the hypermatter reactor and the brains of the group making a critical success on an astrogation roll to make the jump to light speed right as the tie fighters close in...
The kids are so totally hooked. They had a little argument at dinner about whether they should head to The Wheel or Cloud City... :)

Professor Lennox, DM |

Phedron: You'd have your sword.oNo worries on the posting. When I throw in those reminders it's for "place keeping" for the group in case someone is curious where we're at in the order. Don't feel rushed into posting if you're busy. We can roll with it. :) As to that longsword, bear in mind to proficiency on the weapon and the minuses. A thought on that front, with the half-elf heritage, you have access to elven weapons. Just a thought...
Lavios: Very awesome to have the whole family in on the act!

![]() |

Yeah the minuses are unfortunately, but the starting character concept will take a level or two to fully manifest.
Are there other elven weapons than the curved blade?

Professor Lennox, DM |

Phedron: Not that I'm aware of off the top. There is an elven long blade I've seen used in various campaigns that allows for one-handed use. It's a 1d6 damage, but doesn't have the +2 CMD bonus to avoid Sundering like the full Elven Curve blade. Up to you, I figured with your family background, you'd have access to either weapon; the longsword or the elven curve blade. Let me know your select for there will be impacts later on in the game... muahahaha!
Does anyone else know of Elven bladed weaponry that would meet the need?

Professor Lennox, DM |

All Players:
I was wondering if I could make a request of the team. If you glance at your avatars and their respective pages, you'll find the "About" information for your character there. I wanted to see if you'd be willing to add in a subset of pertinent PC information into the "class/levels" field of the profile page.
If you follow this link (Eldred Pentwert), you'll see what I have set up for a Gunslinger character I'm playing in a different campaign. See the "class/levels" field? I've jammed quite a bit of information there. Here's what it looks like:
Gunslinger 3 | HP 31/31 | AC:17, T:13, F:14 | CMD:16, CMB:+3 | Save (F+5, R+5, W+4) | Init:+4 | Perc: +7 | (+2 Curse/Fear/Emotion w/gun in hand)
--------------
What I'd be looking for would be the basics for now. Level, HP, AC with Touch and Flat Footed #s, CMD / CMB, Saves, Initiative bonus and finally Perception. This will aid me in the menagerie I've created during combat rounds. It will load those stats right under your respective avatars.
Let me know if you have any questions!
- Your Humble GM

Drogan Anvilsong |

By the way - I AM keeping track of my number of performance per day. This makes 4 since the last time we slept. Got two more in the pipe in case we need them.
Until then - remember that shouting dwarves make for harder hits. ;)

Professor Lennox, DM |

Appreciate the logistics support, brother.
On a more serious note, asking for some prayers here in SoCal. We've got fire season starting early and there's a couple burning north of us about 10 or so miles. Looking for safety for us and the region here. Thanks!

![]() |

We will keep you in our prayers. I can't even imagine.
I think we've got your rain out here... and some to spare. High of 52 for tomorrow, low of 39... :/

Looks like Paizo is going to be up and down this afternoon. Be careful with any long posts. :)

Professor Lennox, DM |

I'll repeat a very early post on the topic of site outage; do the best you can to use a word processing app for writing. Then cut and paste into paizo in case they're down. Here's a few I've seen hepful:
》Polaris Office (Android) - They have a great MS Word simulator
》Google Docs/Drive (Android & iOS) - This one's my go to for game management. I write 90% of my posts here.
Hope this helps!
- Jeff

Karl Marsh |

So here is my thinking behind the change of strategy.
The side that charges gets +2 and hits before an attack of opportunity.
The DM side could have double moved the 60 to face us line to line. Instead he moved tactically to 30 to set up his charge and potentially a chance to cleave us all with that heavy flail of his.
So the best bet to counter that and for us to get to do damage first and without attacks of opportunity is to charge first, hopefully drop a foe or two and maybe get our own cleave in and take advantage of Drogans stun. With extreme luck we could drop the foe on the far left I can move to Ardo who is stunned and Kheegan can cleave the lot of them!
. . . [smaller]Or it could go horribly wrong, but tactically better for us at any rate.
As long as there aren't more baddies out here in the yard that is.
