A Worldbuilding Project

Game Master Yumeko

An experiment. Seven players are the first humans of a new world ready to be forged.

Hi there.
I have an experiment in mind. Here it comes.

A Worldbuilding Project

I need seven players. If more are willing to play, I can start a thread every seven players. The more the merrier.
The seven players will be the first humans of a new world. But I do not have a specific story in mind. You will be the ones to create it. I, as GM, -and as a God in game- will supply you the basic background.

Rules.

  • Seven players. This is not a random number, and you will understand.
  • Whatever your gender is, in-game I want at least 3 males and 3 females.
  • No evil alignment. At least, not now.
  • At the beginning you haven't any skill. You are boys and girls of 18 years, but you haven't any experience whatsoever. You know how to talk, walk, reason, but that's all. You must have a nice appearance. If you want a character sheet, you can do it with a 25 point-buy, 1 level in the commoner npc class and no skill ranks and feats, but it shouldn't be needed for a while.

That's all for now. Submit any question you might have!

Spoiler:
And since my first language is not English, please let me know of any mistake I make. I need to improve.

Dark Archive

Well, it's intriguing. I'll give you that. I really don't even know what questions to ask, as it all seems so vague at this point. But, I might be interested. :P

Sign me up.

I'll make an av when the time comes. A pretty one.

As far as questions go, most of mine would be Why (why seven, why 3 each boys and girls, why nice appearance, why no evil, etc) but I expect all that will be answered if this gets off the ground.

I would say that - as the god who supplies the basic background - you might get more traction if you did supply the basic background. A bit of scene setting, even if the scene is "In the beginning, the world was without form, and the spirit of the GM moved across the hex paper..."

Which elements of these characters are customisable? Since they're apparently blank slates, it's hard to know the ways in which they differ from one another. Are you just looking for physical descriptions?

At the beginning, you will wake up in a beautiful mansion, ready to get acquainted with one another. After a short while the god will entrust to all of you a gift, which will help you define your character. After that you'll have to decide what to do. The god is a patient one and will watch over you. What will you do about the gifts? They can help the race as a whole, if you cooperate, or they can sow discord among you.

As you said, at the beginning you'll not differ much. Only for physical description and disposition.

Sure, I'm game.

I'd be willing to play, but can you reveal what actual gameplay would be like? Would we be champions or gods?

Sounds intriguing. Would our characters have any previous history/memory, or were they created as mature adults with a blank slate (and hence the lack of particular skills/experience)?

After the gift I would say champion.. sort of. No gods. It should be a roleplay/gestional campaign.

No previous history, they are created as mature adults.

Okay, here are the basic statistics of my prospective character:

Name: "Kay"
Gender: Female
Height: 5'7
Eyes: Green
Hair: Black; Waist length

...Aaaannnd I'm already drawing a blank on what else to write. It's really hard to describe a character when they're not actually...well...a character. Until Kay gets a chance to develop a voice within the game itself, these bullet points may have to suffice.

Sovereign Court

I'm game.

Name: "Dune"
Sex: Male
Height: 6'1
Eyes: Cerulean
Hair: Bronze, waist length

Appearance: Tall with a firm frame, Dune sleeps with a peaceful, calm appearance. A prominent nose, full, clear lips, and slightly angular cheekbones highlight his face, and his long, deep blonde hair flows down his back to the top of his buttocks. Skin a hair darker from his fingernails covers his body, having no callouses except on his heels and the pads of his toes. A refined swimmer's build describes his frame, tapering at his waste, yet expanding at his shoulders to end in large hands. Dune's piercing blue eyes lay concealed behind his eyelids. Quarter-sized nipples dot his torso which rises and falls as he sleeps.

What else are you looking for concerning character creation? Other than stats, of course. However, I am unsure how to consider intelligence if these are mature adults with no background. Do they have knowledge? Do they know languages?

Name: Jen
Sex: Female
Height: 5'1
Eyes: Brown
Hair: Brown (Close to shoulder length)

Appearance: Lean and stout, tough and calm, these are words that describe her. She's not particular striking in appearance, aside from the look of depth of her eyes.

The Exchange

Name: "Sophas"
Sex: Male
Height: 5'2
Eyes: Hazel
Hair: Blond, close cropped

Appearance: Short and bulky, a flat clean shaven face with a pug nose and broad forehead. Thick muscles and a wide frame makes him seem squarish. Green eyes under his closed lids twitch back and forth showing a restlessness even in the grip of his soft bed. Thick fingers occasionally grasping at nothing.

Scarab Sages

I would love to jump in... but I'm leaving in about a month and won't have time to game for a long time. I will probably just lurk here.

I do have a question of clarification, though, since your posts somewhat contradict--Are these seven humans the only humans, or are there others as well?

Name: Moloch
Sex: Male
Height: 6'2
Eyes: Amber
Hair: Black, braided mowhawk
Skin: Dark brown

Appearance: Tall & slim, with an athletic build. He has a handsome face with angular features, and even though he's sleeping, he has a look of deep thought and contemplation painted across the landmarks of his visage.

Okay, here's something more to work with.

Name: Aidos
Sex: Female
Height: 5'8"
Eyes: Hazel
Hair: Deep brown, short and curly
Skin: Russet

Nimble and lithe of frame, gentle slopes define her tapering face. Thin but full strips of eyebrow and an elongated, flaring nose surround narrow, lidded eyes that often drift to and fro, immersed in whatever vision she alone is privy to.

Silver Crusade

Name: Luximar
Sex: Male
Height: 6' 2"
Hair spiked, 1" long pale blue in color
Eyes: sparkling silver
skin: vary pale white porcelain

Appearance: For whatever reason his hair has been cut short and is a pale blue in color, but it really brings the veins of his porcelain skin pop out in contrast. It gives him an almost carved appearance. He is, or would be of slighter better physical shape then the average humans. Also for whatever reason his fingers tips and palm have burn marks and scorches where he at one point grabbed something to hot for his skin to handle

Looks like I was too late in providing character info. Oh well.

Silver Crusade

Umbral you can go ahead, Ill wait for the next round lass tis fine with me.

Silver Crusade

Umbral, You responded before me. I will wait to awaken with the next batch of 7 humans.

The Exchange

No Klokk stay in I have a few to many fires in the iron so I am backing out.

Silver Crusade

I have a feeling where this is going and i think its going to be a pretty cool tale.

I am just as fine reading it as watchin. I have a forge full of iron to smelt each day, but mehh.. its no biggy walter, are you sure?

The Exchange

yep I have your colony thing, one to three ap's and am in 4 homebrews going up to a possible 8.

The Exchange

Heck I am 40 minutes to playings one of my 2 by weekly sunday roll 20 ap games, and I have an eberon-pathfinder homebrew on saturdays for fantasy grounds.

Silver Crusade

Walter
Well that beats my 1 2e & 2PF games im DMing and 3 pbp's i am taking part in. I see I am still the student here at the Arts, even though im midway though my second decade of playing.

Yumeko
You have 4 male's and 3 female's that have woken up. Am sure you will be asked by others, are you going to recruit another batch of 7?

IF someone not playing in any other pbps wants to take my spot in the next 24 hrs, ill let you otherwise then im good to go.

Alright then. I'll start writing something up.

Here we go. Sorry for the delay!

Can I stop myself from making yet another pale, gothy woman? Of course not! I haven't used my avatar for making a character yet, so here goes:

Name: Lyriasha
Sex: Female
Height: 5' 9"
Hair: Long, straight, glossy black
Eyes: Very faint, near-white blue.
Skin: Unnaturally white

Lyriasha is a woman of striking figure, pleasingly well-formed and abundantly blessed, though even more surprising is her near total lack of colour. Where her white skin has shade to it, it is almost grey. Only the faintest touches of pink may be seen on her nose and cheeks.

So, when shall we expect this game to get rolling?

Is this to be considered dead?

It looks dead but If anyone backs out I will happily fill in a slot. I love the idea.

what about an adventure where you are the gods creating the material plane? all other planes exist, so angels, devils, dragons, and majority of planar creatures exist, but no humans, orcs, dwarves and so on.

That sounds fun.

Pathfinder Pathfinder Accessories Subscriber; Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber

Oh, that does sound like fun. I got races in my head I would love to create.

Silver Crusade

That's why I went with what I did for my character description. His fingers and hands are burnt from pulling dwarves out of the forge fires. :)
