"Indeed something could be forged that would serve the task. the only method's I have used to create one of those devices would require either a few pounds of mithril, and a little gold of which we have neither. The other method requires the rib bone of a fire giant and a fresh dripping heart of a red dragon. Perhaps one of you can make use of the Librarium my old notes should be somewhere within the arcana section."

Feorina: << Did you wander from Abeir-Toril before I found you lass? >>

Female Lashunta Psion 2/Arcanist 1 (Grand Diplomat)

I appear to have confused my settings. :D

<<I vaguely remember reading the name in one of the books, but there wasn't much description on them. As far as I can tell, they remind me of a rare practice that occasionally occurs on my planet. Could you tell me more about them?>>

Samanthia looks up at the mention of birds as messengers.

"I do not think that will be an option, In my years here I have yet to see one flying creature larger then the fireflies beside the form of Hawk that either of us druids can assume, or klokk's little friend. So unless one of you happens to have some eggs or a mating pair, that will be vary unlikely."

"Also, I know Klokk said that the barracks had stables for 400 heavy calvary, along with their spares. What he neglected to tell you is that in all of Haven there is but one Equus, one horse of any kind and that is our diplomats mule, which even if we had a million of them would never be able to breed. It seems our glorious leader forgot to pick up the horses from the markets on the way here with you all."

Klokk has the decency to blush as hes drinking his ale.

remember rule 1.. No assumptions.. anything is possible Rule of Fun > rule of drool :D he just responded to your question with a question.

Feorina: <<I only ask to farther my understanding of your reason behind asking. For if you even know the term, I am sure you can understand. Do you remember the tome or what you researching when you came across the term? >>

Female Lashunta Psion 2/Arcanist 1 (Grand Diplomat)

<<I was studying my impeding death>>

She says (or rather thinks) this with a plainness that doesn't seem to match with the subject matter.

Silver Crusade

<< I certainly do not recall putting a book titled that within the Librarium. So How imminent is yours?>>

Female Lashunta Psion 2/Arcanist 1 (Grand Diplomat)

<<I am not quite so sure. I have felt the feeling of death many times over the past years, and they have only been coming more frequently. Perhaps the knowledge that I am so close to transcending death is the thing that is keeping me alive right now. It was a big reason that I joined this expedition. Fate must have conspired to bring me here for this reason; even though fate herself cannot stop the steady march towards Pharasma's judgement, perhaps she can provide tools that I may use to stop it myself.>>

<<I only bring this up now because fate has conspired to show me the vision of your portals. I presume that they orbit you now?>>

Silver Crusade

Male appears as a Dwarf to the Eye DM Level 0

<<There is heavy price to that which you ask about. That is not the path I followed, but I have spoken with a group of them after we crashed on the world I asked if you had been from. It seems these my half dragon blood is what brought it about for me. But I have my brothers and sisters childen grow old while I am still young. One Score and Five generations have passed for the humans in Halisford Crossing, where my life .. changed.>>

Klokk sorta chokes on his ale and starts coughing for a moment.

<<What are you talking about? What vision?>>

Female Lashunta Psion 2/Arcanist 1 (Grand Diplomat)

"We could create a magical figurine of a raven, that could carry our messages. Would that be feasible, master artificer?"

<<I saw you speaking with Samantha and your other companion. I know about your portals; I know about your wings; I know about Wolvyn's wings as well. Is he your child? Well, no matter>>

<<You say that there is a heavy price for what I ask. Have I not already paid that price? I have lost everyone that I've known more than once. Once, when I was tossed through space, and twice, when I watched my human friends grow old and pass away. This, when I met them as an elderly woman!>>

<<Lose my humanity? Humanity is in the mind, and my will is strong. The voices that you hear...they are supposed to be a curse. For me, they are a blessing. Even right now, I am communicating with four beings simultaneously; that is part of my nature.>>

<<It is better to have known and lost, than to have never known at all. I have yet to truly get to know all of you, and perhaps if I was able to live longer, I would be able to know you for a lifetime.>>

Silver Crusade

Male appears as a Dwarf to the Eye DM Level 0

Klokk grabs a towel and cleans himself up forgetting that he is not really wet from the ale as its not real.

Feorina:<<I see. That is interesting. As we were scrying you.. I wonder what caused the feedback loop.>>

"You ask about a Raven. Have you ever heard of the Figurines of Wondrous power? There is one known as a Raven, generally made of Black Jade. Fabricator knows where my notes are, which include how to make one and it purposes. It could be modified slightly to be paired with another and one could speak though them."

Feorina:<<I see. The portals are not what it seems you think they are. It is a curse. But my wing-leader was not even able to remove it, even though he is our high priest.>>

"There is also an item called Ring Gates. They allow an item, such as a scroll or Head to be passed through to the other one, which can be anywhere within 10 squares, 100 miles."

<<Vary well, It was well after I was changed and grew my wings as you say, but before I grew to my full potential with them. Something was wrong with our helm, it had been completely dispelled so we could no longer use it while we were all asleep. Our ship crashed into the ground near a place called Myth Drannor. We were actually rescued by those norn.. it was tense for our cleric, the golden one, detected that they were undead, but our paladin sensed that they were beings of such blinding goodness that he was actually blinded upon looking at them with his senses. Our Farmer told us that they were beings of such intense law that he like our paladin was blinded for a few rounds afterwards from the brightness of these undead.>>

"The plans for these and many other items are in my notes, I however at this moment can not spare any of my reserve to assist in the matter. As time gets closer to when I depart I will have a much better gage of how much of my reserve will be used needed to make the things I came here to make. "

<<This was before any of us learned to alter our forms and hide our "wings". It took us ten months but the Baelnorns finally trusted us enough to sent word to a man of their world named Elminster, interesting fellow. He arrived the next day in an elven Dragonfly with a major helm for us.. much more efficient than the minor one we somehow burned out. Apparently dragon's breath will short out a minor one but the major one can withstand it.>>

"Dragonfly"

Klokk looks over at Fabricator and smiles fatherly at him. upon the table that image appears of the elven Dragonfly model of a spelljamming ship.

"Fabricator has as the potential to be as potent as artificer as I am one day. That unit will be able to assist in production of any magical items that you all have need of eventually."

<< Wolvyn as my son, no more then you are my daughter. His wings are MUCH smaller then mine and of a different type and style. >>

<<Your nature is your nature. This is not normal for me. I can mindspeak with all around me that can "hear" or one. More conversations than that and it is too much for me. It is a but a wild ability that was awakened by one of the Farmers back within Halisford Crossing. There is a modified version of Non-Detection enchanted within my boots SO I will not hear you unless I am aware that you are near me.. I can only sense about 100' feet around me, There is however no distance baring my mental sendings.. even across worlds and planes it has worked. Wolvyn was able to hear me just fine when I was in Sothis, that is how those of you here were aware of the Lizardmen. Though I could not hear him.>>

<<The Portals as you call them.. They do indeed go into the planes of Fire and Ice. IF you would hear of them. it would be with our outer voices. Unless you want the others not aware of this conversation, beyond me showing them the schematics for a firefly, to be aware of all this. It will have to wait until whoever you don't want to know about them is gone. I am fine with the council knowing or I wouldn't be telling you this much and "speaking" as it were loud enough that even bastion can hear, as well as anyone else that can receive this kind of conversation like fabricator>>

Feorina<<One thing I will tell you right now from speaking with them. There is no one path that all took, it was different though similar for each of the dozen I spoke with. This should give you something to ponder for now. Myself, and your daughter I know of As she has spoken with me. Who are the other two beings you speak with, The forged ones I am aware of as well or are there others?>>

Anything that has been with Feorina:<<blahblah>> has been to her. anything that has been <<blahblah>> has been to anyone that can receive.

Silver Crusade

"If you can building me a shipyard and give me a unit or two of the forged or stonecales to work with.. I can build those fireflys and many other variants. If your curious simply look in the Librarium under Airships-Other, as a opposed to Airships-Elmentally powered before it. You will find nothing regard the Necros or death engines in any tome."

"So yes, if you would like one of them.. get me a ship yard and the Crowns to make it and some laborers and I can do this for you."

Bastion speaks up, shaking his head softly to clear it. "This one feels as if he is eavesdropping with all the mind to mind communication he is intercepting. Can we speak with our tongues? This ones head is buzzing and as this one can not imbibe alcohol, this one can not be drunk!"

Human Marshal

Girianar sits a bit chagrined as he understands from Bastion's words he could hear only some of the conversations at the table.

>>Note to self find a way to hear telepathic communications.<<

He shifts back into his chair but freezes as he starts to worry

>>Important note to self find out if anyone can read my mind, hmm besides Klokk and his associates<<

Female Lashunta Psion 2/Arcanist 1 (Grand Diplomat)

<<I would be fine with everyone in the council hearing about these portals.>>

Klokk: <<I am currently speaking to you, my daughter, the people of the council in speech, and my psycrystal. He's quite friendly and lightens my spirits. It is interesting that you mention that each path was different, because I feel it may relate to the portals, but perhaps you should explain the portals to the council before I relate my theory.>>

RETIRED Artificer 4

"Regarding the dragonflies, both figurine and vessel... I shall endeavor to make them in time, but at the moment the power and knowledge necessary to make such things is well beyond my current scope. I would need some sort of Amplification device to augment my knowledge of spellcraft as well as enhance magical synergy between myself and objects created to reduce attenuation of magical energies known to cause power loss in the creation process."

Fabricator can only receive telepathy when it is directed at him, he cannot project it except in cases where he is thinking to himself and his thoughts are read by another.

1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27

Leaning in close to Girianar, Bastion whispers softly. "We know all your secrets. Everything!" The large adamantine soldier sits back, studiously not looking at the young archer.

Human Marshal

well that wasn't creepy at all

Klokk can I get something that protects me from mind reading this is disturbing me a great deal. I like having my own secrets and such.

Inward thoughts are
>>The Parable of Erastil

The Parable of the Wise Woman

A wise woman who was traveling in the mountains found a precious stone in a stream. The next day she met another traveler who was hungry, and the wise woman opened her bag to share her food. The hungry traveler saw the precious stone and asked the woman to give it to him. She did so without hesitation. The traveler left, rejoicing in his good fortune. He knew the stone was worth enough to give him security for a lifetime.

But, a few days later, he came back to return the stone to the wise woman.

"I've been thinking," he said. "I know how valuable this stone is, but I give it back in the hope that you can give me something even more precious. Give me what you have within you that enabled you to give me this stone."

Sometimes it's not the wealth you have but, what's inside you that others need. and repeat ad nouseum<<

Bastion laughed softly, patting Girianar on the back. "This one can not read your mind young friend. This one saw you get uncomfortable when he mentioned telepathy and guessed it was the reason. This one was merely making a joke. No need to worry about your memories and thoughts from this one anyway!"

To Fabricator.<<<To you however I can not make the same promise little brother!>>> He turned to stare at the smaller Warforged slowly, his head tilted to the side in an accusatory manner.

He laughed softly. "Another joke. How wonderful. This one is quite the trickster it would seem!"

'I wonder if I have confused the new people as to the mannerisms of Warforged enough yet?'

RETIRED Artificer 4

"I have no secrets. And for my work to be spread would be grand."

Silver Crusade

Male appears as a Dwarf to the Eye DM Level 0

Klokk looks around at everyone gathered, after he has learned who can Hear him, he looks to be gathering his thoughts together.

Bastion:<<General Did you see a vision earlier?>>
Fabricator:<<Treasure Did you see a vision earlier?>>

"Aye General so we shall." Klokk continues turning towards Fabricator "Do no worry the skill comes with practice and that comes with time, and you have all the time in the world for your kind are ageless."

General you already know the results of your check better then anyone else does including myself.

"Marshal, We all like having our secrets. I can tell you this. Of us gathered here I know Fabricator can only hear thoughts if sent to him, he is not fully awaked yet. The General can only send thoughts to someone within one hundred feet from him, he was given that augmentation to better command the forged troops in combat. The augmentation is supposed to only work between other forged, but in this world I can speak with him as well as hear him. And as you may have guessed our Diplomat has this among her other abilities."

"As I told them. My ability is a wild talent, not trained. I can sense any living creature within 100' of me. I can communicate to one being or all that are receptive within 100' of me but not two at the same time. So while I can give an order to Bastion, I could not also give a different order to one of the psiforged with the same thought. I could send the same order to all 100 of them if they are standing close enough together. Think of my ability like a bow, if I am within a standard arrow shot to you odds are I can sense you. I can not read any thoughts unless actively projected to me, or to more then one person around me. So again to use the General. IF he makes an order to the Psiforged and directs it at them, not me, I would still hear if I am within a hundred feet of one person that is receiving. We tested it rather extensively. it works to a range of 199'6" that I can effectively hear if someone is standing 99.5' away from me.

Looking at the General, as he laughs and comforts the Marshal, Klokk laughs along not knowing what the second joke was about thinking it was still the same joke.

Just wait for some more twists ive got in store about them. :)

"You ask about the Portals. Let me show everyone."

Klokk stands up and steps into the open space at the foot of the table. His Copper Coined scale mail now has coming up along the back of his head, just above his shoulders a mithril crescent moon with the open part up. On both of tips floats a small flame. On his Left is a flame that looks like any candle flame in color. On his Right is a flame that looks alike the other, but is a pale blue in color.

Klokk. <<<Yes my Lord I did. I have questions but they are not important, just wild musings. Maybe some time when you are free we can cover them. Till then I have a question, is their anything you specifically need me to do in the next while?">>>

Female Lashunta Psion 2/Arcanist 1 (Grand Diplomat)

"They seem awfully small, but what can they do? Are you harnessing their energy right now?"

RETIRED Artificer 4

"I did not."

Silver Crusade

Male appears as a Dwarf to the Eye DM Level 0

"Table Display visual image only of the Portals. As you can the Right Flame is not what it appears, nor is the Left Flame what it appears.

"Both are portals to the Fire and Ice Plane and Para-elemental plane. All the Tricks I know that are considered High Sorcery are based upon Fire or Ice. When this Dwarf was just a dwarf. We were exploring a cave, turned out to be a back entrance into an abandoned fire giant forge; that I later repurposed. Turns out we woke up a sleeping red dragon, at the time I had no way of knowing their ages, it was bigger then all of us. We withdrew back to Halisford. The dragon awoke and attacked the next day. Many were lost in the initial surprise for it attacked under the guise of improved invisibility."

"It was a horrible day and an extremely long battle, it had various magical items such that we had to kill It three times over. Fully half of the town was destroyed, finally casuality count was 58 villagers in a town of a 112. The kingdom lancers were wiped out save for one cavilier that joined our party after the battle. The baronial guards had all be mustered for something over in near Lamut so there were no guardsmen on hand beside the squad of a score of lancers."

"We had found an item within the giants forge/dragons lair that we were not sure how It worked, only that it required strength of personality to use. But it would change whoever used it forevermore. This item I will not tell you what it was, is what started me upon the path as a dragon disciple instead of the dwarven defender like I had trained to be."

"Fate rested upon my shoulders, literally. I focused all my willpower and knelt as I prayed that my last remaining spell a maximized fire lance, would somehow be effective. You see I didn't even know before the fight that red dragons are immune to fire, or I would have planned differently."

"My god, he answered, not as I expected at all. First of my very presence was changed." Klokk's charisma went from 17 - 27. "Second this Crescent appeared behind my head with both flames upon it, After the battle the bard with us remembered a tale of old about them so we figured out their purpose. My lance of fire shot forth from the blue flame striking the red in the chest, exploding its chest apart as it flew overhead. It fell ontop of me, I was inside its chest cavity.

While they work to access the planes as needed for my tricks and spells, they serve another purpose as well. Any creature that I have slain with evil in its heart speaks to me from the Fire. Likewise all creatures I have know that died with good intent in their heart speak to mean from the Ice. Not constantly.. but enough if don't keep them cloaked with illusions it can be distracting when one tries to focus. Can you imagine killing what I have over the half meinia I have been alive. or all the people I counted as friends over the years talking, talking.. to me to each other all the time. It is distracting."

I theorize that a portal such as one of these could be created somehow using one of the dragon shards and a elemental core to serve as the focus. with my connection to these two planes it would likely interfere with me creating it.

The Cresent upon his back fades back away as he sits down at the table again and takes another drink of his ale and grabs a web of cheese

Female Lashunta Psion 2/Arcanist 1 (Grand Diplomat)

"What are these dragon shards and elemental cores that you speak of?"

Silver Crusade

Male appears as a Dwarf to the Eye DM Level 0

"Elemental Cores are whats left in the guck that remains when one slays an elemental, sometimes they are still intact enough to use. Each type of elemtnal or para-elemental has its own type of core. We never came up with a better term then Core for it. It looks like a small gemstone of various hues based on its type."

"Fabricator can tell you of the Dragonshards, I know he has been spending some time contemplating their uses."

RETIRED Artificer 4

"correct. "

Female Lashunta Psion 2/Arcanist 1 (Grand Diplomat)

"So what are these dragonshards? Do we have any? What do they do?" She looks from Klokk to Fabricator, and then back to Klokk.

RETIRED Artificer 4

"I was going to go over them later with you, as my zeal with this subject material tends to cause me to wax long on such a lecture... But, I can certainly see the merit in the others knowing what such things are, should the encounter them when I am not available."

“Dragonshards are almost the most precious stones of stones, the only thing more valuable is an astral diamond. Not even normal diamonds are as valuable as Dragonshards.”

”Klokks notes say that the Dragons of Eberron beli-KNOW that these shards were magically created when three progenitor dragons fought. When their blood touched the ground one of these three shards sometimes grew. They each have different properties. None of the three have ever been found in the same locations, they do not regrow, normally.

”The Ruby Shards are named for Eberron, the Dragon Between. They are found most often inside of Geodes near the earth lines. Their purpose is to take the energy normally expanded when one casts a spell or activates a psionic power. They can take the energy and amplify or change it slightly in many useful ways. When added to a magical item, or used fasion one, they work such that the item is Above and beyond the standard powers it would have, such as the shovel I asked Klokk for.”

”The Amythest Shards are named for Khyber, the Dragon Below. They are found deep underground or on the surface after volcanic explosions. I was told they are only one of the three that are still being formed. Which means that Khyber is still “bleeding”. They serve one purpose, that of allowing outsiders to be bound within them. And before you ask, yes we are ALL outsiders here though we are native as well.”

”The Citrine Shards are named for Siberys for the Dragon Above, They fall from the heavens with with the meteor showers. They serve but one function, amplification of the Dragonmarks that are born upon living beings such as this one.

"As such, all three types have their purpose, coupled with immense value. They should never be traded, as their value lies more in what they can be used to make more so than as currency of any sort. For instance, a Siberys shard coupled with my mark," Fabricator indicates a small yet elaborate carving on his forearm that glows bright green, "could dramatically amplify the crafting abilities that my mark gives me. A Khyber shard could power all manner of objects with the bound soul of an elemental or other outsider. Eberron shards allow for all manner of magical and psionic effects to be channeled into them."

Aasimar Bard explorer

Resnit shifts forward intrigued but a bit confused by the information given. Even his shadow perks up from its former dozing position.

So you are saying that I should head toward recently active volcano's and meteor impacts if I see any and look for these shards. I know a geode is, but what does geodes near the earth line mean. I have never heard of such a thing in my life.

Female Lashunta Psion 2/Arcanist 1 (Grand Diplomat)

Feorina leans forward with interest, and sends a message to Klokk.

<<Do you think that an Amethyst Shard would be able to bind my own soul like a phylactery?>>

RETIRED Artificer 4

"That is what I read from his notes, I believe that he was referencing fault lines, areas where earthquakes happen more often. Mountain ranges and volcanoes happen to typically be at these locations also."

Silver Crusade

Male appears as a Dwarf to the Eye DM Level 0

As Fabricator speaks the names of the three shards an image of them appears hovering above the Table. Klokk takes another sip then continues,"All this talking thirsty work. but well worth it, this has moved in a few directions I did not think would happen so quickly."

Feorina <<<There IS another option you haven't considered yet lass. Fabricator is the only one of the Psiforged in this room, but perhaps he could find a way to help move your consciousness from your mortal body into that of a Psiforged body. But yes if you can find a large enough one larger then that which binds these elder elementals. That would be a good start>>

"Mostly correct. Earth lines are indeed the faults that run through the world, generally mountains, or cliffs, rivers or cannons, even lakes sometimes are these places. There are also things call Lay Lines, you can research them in the Librarium on your own. These networks of mythical energy flow across all worlds, some theorize that they are what makes life possible. There is a Nexus that has appeared above the Forge, Which is where all the fireflies come from at sunset. You will have to find your own way to See it, that is not something that I can assist with at all. But before i get too distracted. The Eberron shards can be found there as well."

"Khyber shards look for volcanoes-sometimes you can get lucky and they appear on the rims and of course after they blow explode, also deep enough canyons. They are found near Mithril at times. "

"Siberys shards, look for starfalls, you can actually find them amidsts adamantine meteor falls, almost like a supper tough geode. One you can create a firefly they will be far easier to gather. for they float in the air above all planets, not just the world known as Eberron."

"Let me say this about Khyber shards, warning or what have you. All of us, save the Psiforged born upon this world are Outsiders, native but still outsiders as such were someone to try and bind one of your souls into a Khyber shard, it could be done. It would take a vary large one, larger by-far, then the ones that hold the elder elementals. Take that as a warning, or as advice."

Silver Crusade

In addition to the stone/wood/food/metal that makes up your Crowns. You also have the following resources.

1 Khyber Shard w Huge Water Elemental. (counts as 5k cost)(*)
1 Khyber Shard w Huge Earth Elemental. (counts as 5k cost)(*)
1 Khyber Shard w Huge Fire Elemental. (counts as 5k cost)(*)
1 Khyber Shard w Huge Air Elemental. (counts as 5k cost)(*)
10,000 Conductor Stones: It takes 1000 per 10 miles, it is enough for 10 squares of track.
Of the Siberys shards you have none, they are the most rare of the three.
Of the Eberron shards we have ALOT and i do mean ALOT of them, but they are all earmarked for the Psiforged.
There are 399 crowns worth of Eberron Shards within the Creation Forge. It takes 1 crown worth of these shards to make the body of a single Psiforged.
10,000 Conductor Stones (1000 per 10 miles. Enough for 10 Squares of Tracks.)

Dark Archive

Verio Alejandro Darius al'Morin Human Heir

Verio sits silently, taking notes pertaining to everything. He has written continuously in a short, clear hand, everything that is being said by Klokk and Fabricator both. He nodded softly, noting the dangers of Khyber shards, before starting a new sheet, this time a sheet that includes the full tally of resources available to them at this point in time. When that is done he lightly dusted the sheet with sand before sliding it in to a pile, along with everything else that he had written since the meeting started.

Aasimar Bard explorer

So I should keep my eyes open for the shards but not focus on them, If I find a Khyber shard make sure that only the terrestrial warforged come in contact with it or them and change all but the most important of my plans if there is the chance for a Siberys shard. I will have to do a bit of research and see if I can follow one of the lines to my next task.

Resnit nods to himself and begins writing and sketching on a sheet of paper occasionally pausing and examining his work then suddenly raises his head.

Oh right we never decided on it I would like to leave before the week is out and since I will be taking more people ummm... of the eating persuasion I will need to do a different kind of preparation. Oh Usel I will be taking you and a few of your lizardmen, some of the warforged and of course myself.

Still not sure how to make exploration parties number wise.

Awkwardly climbing out from a door under the table, Thutmose tenuously joins the council at the table. "Sorry, was in the Foxes Den; pay me no mind, I'd rather just observe." he casually mentions as he takes out a pad and something to write with. "... Thutmose, the name's Thutmose of Tehuti by the way." he adds as if the thought of establishing who he is had almost slipped his mind.

Sorry for being so late, had an unexpectedly busy week last week.. then was debating whether i should stay in the campaign or not, as delayed as i was. Decided to stay!

RETIRED Artificer 4

"I shall depart for the farm warehouse when our meeting is adjourned, to get my hands on the master shovel. Regarding the Kyber shards, I am not advising against caution, however as Klokk said, only the largest could hold one of us. On top of that, there is a special ritual-like process that must be undergone to use such a shard to house someone's essence. So generally, I would not say coming in routine contact with one is inherently dangerous."

Aasimar Bard explorer

Are you sure I was already an outsider on Golorian I don't know what whould happen if I get near the thing. Which is a pretty big worry for me.

RETIRED Artificer 4

"Yes, they are just receptacles until used in the correct way, as far as I know. But caution is never a bad thing."

Klokk winks at Thutmose, when he thinks nobody else is looking.

"Indeed it is a long ritual that takes sometimes days depending on the strength of the outsider being bound into the Khyber shard. They are as safe to touch as a tempering hammer is, or the chair you are in sitting in."

"Do not fear. If you were in outsider in Golorian nothing has changed. If you were not you are now. If you don't know what an Outsider means, go look it up the Librarium in the planar section."

Feorina << The way I suggest, is a route around the outsider problem as if you could move yourself into a Psiforged, you should have all your mental reserves as well as what the body furnishes. Where as if you went the route you Ask about. you would still be an outsider here.>>

"There is no such thing as a double or enlarged outsider. Even the process of binding is relatively safe. Two binders are generally used in addition to the person creating the item. That is incase the outsider doesn't want to be bound within and overpowers the will of the prime binder."

"Remember I learned of the art upon the world of Eberron, as much of an Outsider there as we are almost all here. So while it is a danger, you could never simply touch one and become trapped within.

Bastion:<< New SOP.
1 - Keep the Forge Safe.
2 - Volley upon anything that comes through that sets off the alarm on the Door.
3 - No Access to the Forge or Tower unless cleared by me personally.
4 - Integrate new officers Warden and Marshal as well as both the Psiforged and Stonescales into your force. Craft them arms and arm and train.
5 - Follow orders of Veiro/Heir as your superior officer, advise him if he orders something stupid that would cost even 1 more life then it would save. Forged count as a life.>>

Edit: Glad you decided to stay, welcome.. PM any questions you have or ask in discussion. Fabricator your memory of them is correct and confirmed by what Klokk says.(15 for the info in This specific post, most of the other info Klokk has shared was a lot higher 25, 30, 50 dc's so its kinda weird that he is being so upfront.)

"We have two small units of Psi-Forged that need Weapons and Armor crafted for them. In addition we also have two tiny units from the Stonescale Lizardmen clan that need Weapons and Armor crafted for them."

"If you Order all 3 units of your Civilian Adamantine Forged to 'Edict: supply troops they will do so, Gathering from only 1 square for the month instead of 2 as they are now harvesting at 50% capabilities."

"It will take 1 week to make the arms and armor for the Stonescales that Usul has designated to come along on the expedition. "

"It will takes 1 week per Tiny unit, 2 weeks per Small unit, 4 weeks per Medium unit. normally. "

"Klokk will fabricate the remainder during the last week. This one time."

NOTE: Equipping these troops initial troops will not cost any of our supplies. Their equipment is created from some walls of iron that Klokk created that were smelted down into ingots for the purpose of equipping your initial troops as you desire.

"You have stables for 800 large horses, but amongst everyone in haven there is but one small pony."

for all of you, incase you dozed off for part of this meeting."

"The treasury consists of 30 K worth of materials, detailed breakdown if you need can be accessed via the Table. it responds to any language we have attempted to speak at it with."

"There is one Tiny unit of Stonescales here that need to be assigned to a gathering location, they can gather 25% of what a medium unit can as they are only 25 people."

"There are three units of Adamntine Forged that need to be assigned a square to gather from while they are producing the army's equipment this month."

"exploration destination is the desert to the SE of here. One small unit of stonescale and usul will accompany Resnit. Do you wish the Diminutive unit of 10 Darkwood Forged rangers on the expedition or should they be assigned a second destination in the known lands?"

"That's all I have written down here, unless there is anything I else? I move we adjourn for the night as I am tired, and it has been a vary long day for those of you that just got here. That and I still have write all those scrolls Klokk asked me to for you tonight."

Klokk: <<The psiforged are held together with nuts and bolts and the magic of the creation forge, but the Baelnorn maintain themselves through sheer power of will, personality, and intellect. If it would be possible to create a phylactery using the creation forge, then that might be something to consider>>

Knowledge(Nature), using Call to mind cantrip repeatedly + Aid Another = 32, to identify likely locations of large amethyst stones, based on geological features identified so far

Feorina<<That may be with the psiforged but your body right now is just a collect of minerals and vary tiny creatures with positive energy holding it together. Not too different from any of our current forms. After I am gone perhaps if the Heir approves and the Treasure can justify the expense not to mention you can talk Samanthia into agreeing for has been at war with the undead longer then I have been alive. But not while I am here.. It May vary well work, but I would never assist in process. No office but I will watch you die of old age first. You would not be the first I count as a friend to do so, not would you be the last Feornia. >>

can you show me the crunch on that roll? I don't see the /dice in it. Also Knowledge:Nature you do not have trained so at most I see a +10 @ 1pp cost +1 per PP. You have 20 Cost: 1pp+0 You are a level 1 Manifestor so you cant pump it any higher then +0 So if I understand how psi-stuff works. You can get the +4 from the power. You can not aid yourself, your daughter can not aid you as shes "you". You cant take a knowledge check untrained for a DC above 10.

You think if you can either find a Volcano or deep hole in the ground or go deep underground you may be able to find one, but you havnt the foggist idea about anything to do with nature, not really just a few things you have picked up over your lifetime.

Call to Mind (discipline power form) is something that I can use at will, but it gives me +2 to my rolls. My intelligent item has ranks in knowledge (nature), and essentially she's the one doing the roll.

20 (taking 20, since I can use call to mind as many times as I want to reroll) + 8 (rank + int modifiers) + 2 (Call to Mind) + 2 (Aid Another) = 32 (or 30, without aid another)

I have to pause a minute. I was not aware that an intelligent item in PF could have skill ranks. I need verify that. I have never used one as DM that I did not 100% control. So I could justify it (without reading the raw -yet but am doing after I post this.) if I were to decide to make it do a skill check, but you as a player don't have the control to tell your item to make a check. its not You its technically a NPC. If it were a cohort that be different.

Either way 32 is to low| The DC to find one as specific as you are asking, with this being the first time you even heard of a dragonshard. even with the int of the gods, the DC for what you trying to do would be into the "Epic" using 3.5 rules or "Mythic" using PF rules. which are in place if you all can find one of the triggers for Mythic power hidden within the world.

I am not sure why it would not listen though. It was created from the idealized, perfect image of her daughter. Memories tend to be much more positive than the reality. The skill ranks are from the table of intelligent item powers: 5 skill ranks for +2500 gp

Feornia:ooc

Spoiler:
Call to Mind on a failed knowledge check, you may reroll with a +4 (not +2 like your saying) to the check the second time, and all future checks (but it wouldn't stack beyond the +4)
My intelligent item has ranks in knowledge (nature)
1d20+8 Item I would allow that your daughter could keep trying until she got a 28, but that is just over half what you need for this Vary Specific DC.
Call to mind will not work unless You have the knowledge skill yourself, not an item you possess. That is how I read it.
Aid Another wont work for 2 reasons You can't take 10 on a skill check to aid another, let alone 20 & more importantly you can't aid another to grant a bonus to a task that your character couldn't do herself.

Feornia<< There are many paths to immortality beyond that of the undead. A forged body is one option. I know druids are ageless after a time, dragons and even the halfblooded kind do not grow older. I am sure there be other ways as well. I never really had a need, as well, I grew scales when I was but still considered rather young for a dwarf. I will search my brain and my private library and see what I can find out, I will contact you when I have discovered anything relivant. Too keep samanthia from killing you the moment you make you transformation into undead, I will do what I can. >>

Feornia From your daughter <<We must learn more about this world, we should send some explorers into the mountains and hunt for volcanoes, that seems to be the best location to start.>>

Game on

RETIRED Artificer 4

Once the meeting is adjourned, Fabricator will make his way to the farm warehouse to pick up that shovel and test it out. Barring any questions, he will ensure that the miners mine the mountains (assuming he can order them to do so, if that task belongs to another he will route the request accordingly to the PC in charge) and start the craftsmen on making the materials for the army that we agreed upon in the discussion tab.

Klokk looks around and seeing that nobody really objected to Joel's motion to dismiss the meeting, he glances over at Verio seeing him lost in vary deep thought.

"This has been a vary long day for all of us. When we meet again in council next week the Heir will have a detailed organization breakdown to include everyone on the council in a clear chain of command. I am leaving this 100% up to the Verio as when I am gone in a year, I do not know how long it will be until I return. I want him set things up as would work for him, not me."

"You have all come to this place as Outsiders, like myself. You are all strangers to each other. In the coming week I ask that you all get to know each other that you may better flow together at the next council meeting.

"Resnit - you will wait a week or so to depart. This will give you time to get to know those that will remain here. It will also give the Forged Ones time to create some arms for the half of Usul's Stonescales that are going to accompany you. Decide if you want to bring your unit of ten darkwood forged rangers with you or send them elsewhere."

"For the now. Let this meeting be dismissed."

As the meeting breaks up, it just so happens that Girianar, Usul, Bastion and Klokk all walk out at the same time. Once they get outside they see Ssisal standing there bearing a scroll in his claws. As he approaches he salutes Usul and presents the note to Girianar.

Girianar takes the scroll but cannot read it, he hands it to Bastion. Who then reads it aloud as common.Towers contain the following. 1 HUGE stone box full of MANY spines for the hand spitters. 2 Large wooden barrels full of long spitter spines. 1 small barrel of weird balls."

Girianar says"I asked you to count them all, not just say whats there.. I could have assumed that myself. Ssisal to defend ourselves from this unknown threat out there, we must have an accurate count of all our various arms and armor. On the marrow the four of us will patrol the lands and tower, getting a feel for things, we will discus plans. You will count out each individual ball, arrow and bolt, we will assist you in this task. This is your punishment for what happened in the Hallway.

Ssisal turn towards Usul and in Draconic "Battle Commander, is this Marshal person the new Chief? Do we Stonescales follow his orders as if they are you?"

Number 10 Bastion translates for Girianar as literally as possible, changing nothing from what was said.
