The time for Irrisen's new monarch has come and gone with no sign of the infamous Baba Yaga...and now, winter is encroaching onto all of Golarion! Will our heroes be able to find the fabled Witch-Queen and restore balance to the world?

Sovereign Court

Attack N/L: 1d20 + 3 - 4 ⇒ (2) + 3 - 4 = 1

Trelck also tries to swing with the flat of his blade in an attempt to knowck the man out rather than maim him. Oh fer cryin ut loud Im'm not used to trying to not hurt a man like this!

Male Dwarf Cleric 1 (favoured class)

Surrender and you might just keep your worthless hide intact " Sondergang calls to the man.

Diplomacy 1d20 ⇒ 4

M Ulfen Bear Shaman

I'm sure there is some joke about dwarf diplomacy here.

Looks like it's all up to the halfing! Man, this is a familiar story, bumbling dwarves depending on a halfling to pull them through the quest. All we need is a wise old wizard who comes and goes as he pleases.

Male Halfling Ninja/1

LOL...look at the ring I just found...hehe

Drew again aims his little bow at the bandit and lets fly an arrow.

Attack-Ranged: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
Crit Confirm: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1

ARRRG! Even a near crit and I only do 1 point!!!

Male Dwarf Cleric 1 (favoured class)

We wait...time passes.....Sondergang sings about gold..50 geek points if you get the reference

Male Halfling Ninja/1

If it is what I think, it was from a really old (early 1980's, I think) game called The Hobbit. Thorin would sing about gold!! I played it on my old Commodore 64. Gods it was a weird, but fun game!

The bandit is injured by Drew's attack, but not nearly enough to give him pause in trying to escape. He turns, focusing entirely on getting away and managing to get some distance between you. He is heading off in the direction the footprints (and hoofprints) are moving in, but he isn't calling out for help or assistance...not yet, at least.

Full-round withdraw and move 60' away.

M Ulfen Bear Shaman

hmm, slow moving and not much in the ranged dept. Here's hoping for a 20!

With a growl, Wildir hurls his spear after the fleeing bandit.

Flying spear: 1d20 + 1 - 6 ⇒ (10) + 1 - 6 = 5

Male Dwarf Cleric 1 (favoured class)

"Wrong answer" Sondergang mutters as he reloads and lets fly again.

1d20 ⇒ 10

"^%£"$"£" he curses as the shot again goes wide.

Male Halfling Ninja/1

Where was it from Sondergang??

Sovereign Court

Sighing to himeslf Trleck pulls the bow off his shoulder and lines up a shot like he was trained to do all those years ago.

Dwarf with a BOW?: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16
Damage with a BOW?: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Sovereign Court

Trelck will then follow his 20' move action. Anything to help him stay within range for another shot if he needs one.

heavy crossbow..I should be still in the first range bracket..but Sondergang's fighting skills are not that great.

Yurli casts Magic Missile against the bandit!

Magic Missile Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Though damaged by the bolt of magical energy, the bandit isn't felled. He moves further away from the group, and you are all but certain he's going to get away...when he stops and turns. You all see a bowstring pulled taut as he lets fly an arrow at Trelck! He is clearly trying to take advantage of your seeming lack of ranged skill to get in a parting shot or two.

Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 6

Bandit is now at 60 feet away. Everybody else, you're up!

Sovereign Court

Trelck grunts as the arrow lands home but otherwise does his best to move forward a pace (20') and loose an arrow in response.

Dwarf with a Bow!: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19
Damage with a Bow?: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Take that you bandit jackass!

And the poor fool of a bandit has just enough time to realize he should've kept running before the arrow embeds itself in his gullet. He falls backward onto the ground, unconscious but wide-eyed as blood wells out from his throat.

M Ulfen Bear Shaman

Spearless, claws sprout from Wildir's fingers as he charges the distant bandit. He makes it about a third of the way there before the man falls from Trelck's shot.

Finishing his labored sprint, the wooly Northerner bends snuffling over the man and stabilizes him with a spell as he removes the arrow. He then stands and retrieves his spear.

Nodding to Trelck, he notes, "Should haf keep running. Maybe he tell us something about de fairies though."

Several minutes pass...

With a low, pained groan, the bandit stirs. His eyes suddenly snap open as the memory of the encounter returns to him and he tries to sit up quickly. Such sudden motion obviously causes him great pain as he cradles his head in his hands, not even looking up to the rest of the you.

"Go on...'ave ya way with me, then. Do what ye want. I ain't tellin' you sods nothin'! Shoulda jus' let me die."

M Ulfen Bear Shaman

Wildir prods the reluctant bandit with his spear. "Dat can still be arranged. Vy you vant to die though? Ve kill de fey anyvay. You live, go to town und find a gud voman."

anyone got diplo-madate? I imagine our charisma scores are right up there with our speed and ranged attacks though...

I've been thinking that there may be a place coming up where I could try and recruit someone to replace our lost dwarven wizard. It might be helpful to try and bring in another arcane caster or someone with a bit more in the social skills. What do y'all think?

M Ulfen Bear Shaman

magic.gooood.
btw Phil, if you hit edit on the campaign info tab, you can edit the active characters in the game. maybe fix up the current characters list.

Well now that IS handy information. Thanks!

Male Dwarf Cleric 1 (favoured class)

Sondergang channels healing energy through the party..

1d6 ⇒ 3

This also heals the bandit but hopefully that will help with the questioning.

Male Halfling Ninja/1

Drew stays close to our bandit friend, attempting to act friendly to draw out some information.
Haha..with a diplomacy of +2 Drew has become the 'face' for the party...yeah we need someone to help out! lol

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19

Sovereign Court

Get me ten cc's of Bard STAT! If we had enough players I would switch to my halfling bard from my long ago dead OTHER JR game but I think the dwarf thing is treating me ok.

Trleck lets the halfling and the druid do the heavy lifting talk wise while he gathers up the other bandit bodies and resources in clear piles to look over.

The bandit still grumbles about not talking, but being healed by Sondergang seems to soften his otherwise coarse personality. "Well...thanks..I reckon. Never woulda got healed back at the lodge...not wit' Rhokar around..."

"Tis nothing lad.." the Dwarf replies.."Now who is this Rhokar...?"

Sovereign Court

Trelck nods as the cleric presses on the issue of "Rhokar" staying silent for now.

M Ulfen Bear Shaman

Wildir steps back crossing his arms over the spear as he watches the conversation impassively.

The bandit looks at them, seeming to be torn between telling them more and an obvious fear of what will happen to him if he's found out as a squeal.

Male Halfling Ninja/1

"Listen friend, we healed you even after you tried to kill us. Would your 'friends' have done as much? You are not going back to them, you know we are going to destroy them, so help us out, and we will go easy on you. Ok?'

He shudders at the mention of his companions. "'Ell no...no way Rhokar woulda, anyway. He'd have let me die...and then brung me back like 'e did them other people in the chickie's carriage...maybe even killed me hisself in the first place..."

M Ulfen Bear Shaman

Wildir scowls at the mention of the zombies in the carriage. "Ve found dose dead men in de carriage. Just point me to Rhokar, he von't be bringing anyone back. Vat is he? Some efil priest?"

"He's some kinda necromancer 'r somethin'...I seen him bring them carriage-folk back. Chills me to the bone...'e told us he'd kill us and do the same if we ever snitched."

Male Dwarf Cleric 1 (favoured class)

"Necromancer is'e..Ah'll be 'aving words with him then. Short pithy words punctuated with blows of me 'ammer""

M Ulfen Bear Shaman

Wildir shakes his head with a grimace of disgust, "De dead should stay dead. Ve vill take care uf him. Vat about de fey? Vy are dey vorking vit dis necromancer?"

"Fey? Izzat what they are? I ain't never seen one before. I dunno how they's workin' together, but there's some weird thingy with bat-wings that breathes ice werkin' wif Rhokar....'e calls it Izoze."

M Ulfen Bear Shaman

Wildir scratches his matted beard. "Ice bat? Dat don't sound like a fey. You know anyting about dis cold vetter here?"

Male Halfling Ninja/1

Drew is going to check the bodies of the other bandits while he lets the others talk.

Sovereign Court

Trelck helps Drew and generally just keeps an ear on the proceedings leaving the cleric and druid to worry about the theological implications of what Rhokar is or is not.

"I dunno nuffin' about the weather...but I know it's real weird to have an ice-bat thing here. They come from further up north..I dunno, like Irrisen or the Mammoth Lord place or whatever." is the reply.

Drew, each of the bandits are wearing padded armor and and a buckler, carrying both a shortsword and a shortbow with 20 arrows each. They also both have a pouch that tinkles with the familiar sound of coin. Upon opening, you find a total of 16 gold and 10 silver between them.

Male Halfling Ninja/1

Off to party treasure with the money...I do not need (or can use) any of the other stuff

M Ulfen Bear Shaman

Wildir raises a dubious shaggy eyebrow, "Irrisen? Den dose little ice bats travel a long vays. Vere is dis Rhokar? Ve go put an end to his trouble."

The bandit again looks nervous, but he also realizes he's already said too much to be able to get out of this thing. "Look...I'll tell ya, but ya gotta let me go after...I cain't go back to Rhokar. 'E would cut my throat soon as look at me if he knew I'd squealed on 'em. But he just...'e freaks me out. Only reason I ain't left yet is 'cause I thought he'd track me down 'n kill me. But if you go kill 'im...well..'e can't come after me."

M Ulfen Bear Shaman

Wildir shrugs, "Ve let you go and ve kill Rhokar. No vorries."

Sovereign Court

Trelck snorts, Aye I won't kill you...unless I find you theiv'n again. Trelck gestures at the dead bodies for emphasis.

Male Dwarf Cleric 1 (favoured class)

"Aye. Tha' wants t' get thy arse out off here..and like the others if I ever find you up to no good then thee and me 'ammer will be having a meeting of the minds..now git"

M Ulfen Bear Shaman

giddyup?

Without another word, the bandit scurries off in the direction you came from, first on all fours, then he breaks into a full run, or at least as full a run as he can manage in the snow.
