Daaneth and Jarl deactivate the force cage, and Vessani runs to Fialla. A quick check reveals bruising about her wrists and ankles. He is able to bring her to consciousness, however, and she opens her eyes and, upon seeing you, says, "Not that I'm complaining, but what are you doing here?"

Still need to be closer. You basically need to be one or two rooms away on the same level.

I appreciate the help but I do not think that one who has not been initiated in the mysteries of the Force, should be handling items steeped in the Power of the Dark Side. he says as he begins to leave.

"Captain, I am sure you can handle taking Fialla to safety?" The question is addressed to Daaneth, Jeren pausing just long enough to hear the Togruta's reply before resuming his following Jace. If their Captain does not object that is.

Having given his orders he turns back to Fialla. "You just focus on keeping low in case there's more trouble, we'll worry about your ship and the escape."

"You wanna lead the way Jarl? Vessani can hold up Fialla and I'll take the rear, just in case."

Daaneth, Vessani, and Jarl lead Fialla towards the hangar, as Jeren, Jace, and NT-2B run for the stairs to the next level.

To the spaceship:

You pass through some sort of ready room and run out into the control room. It appears to be abandoned. Before you, in the hangar, are two ships. One is the Fireburst, and the other is a sleek, shiny space yacht. This clearly must be Likar Molch's personal ship. There is a door to the left, with a ramp leading down to the hangar floor.

To the next floor:

Ascending the stair, you emerge into an expansive lobby, with several seating areas. At the far end is a pair of ornate double doors. A protocol droid turns to look at you and says, "Hello. Do you have an appointment with the illustrious Likar Molch?"

Jace:

They seem to almost be right above you. You have to be close.

The droid looks through a console in front of him. "I do not see you on the list. However, if Master Molch requested he not be disturbed, he may have chosen not to add you. You will have to wait out here. Master Molch is currently using his throne room, and since he is not to be disturbed, you will have to wait until he is finished before I take you in."

Fialla, Daaneth and Vesani move to the Fireburst, while Jarl begins searching for away into the cockpit of the space yacht from outside the ship.

Third Floor:

"I understand that, sir, but to get to any items Master Molch may wish to have appraised, you would have to pass through the throne room, which Master Molch is currently using. Therefore, you will have to wait until he is finished before I can take you to the items he wished appraised, since he has said you do not need to disturb him," the droid explains. "Please have a seat. I am sure he will be finished soon. He normally doesn't use the throne room at this time of night."

NT-2B stares coldly at the protocol droid, hating the rigid programming that such models came with, and deciding quickly to try and replicate the rigidity himself. "Is there not an alternate entrance? This is highly unusual. The time of my associates is quite valuable. I do not anticipate the great Master Molch would enjoy the premise of having to contact an alternate firm because you were unable to find a way to adhere to his wishes."

Letting NT-2B do the talking, as the droid appears quite good at it, Jeren opens himself to the Force. 'Jace did mention artifacts,' he ponders as his senses expand.

Hello, all, and welcome to the campaign! I’m looking forward to getting this going.

First of all, I’ve got some final procedural stuff to post up.

Quick reference: In the Race/Class area of your alias, I would like you to include the following information: Race, Class, Level, HP, Defenses, Force Points, Initiative, and Perception, as well as any special senses (e.g. low-light vision). This is for my ease of reference.

Combat: When we get into combat, I’ll handle rolling Initiative and posting the order. You do NOT have to post in the Initiative order. I will do a summary post at the end of each round, showing the order of events in which things happen. If your target is no longer standing when your turn comes around in the summary, I will either let you modify your action or, if you tell me in advance, I will automatically target another opponent for you. Given that some enemies will have rather low hit points compared to how much damage you can do, I would suggest giving me an “order of targeting” in your post, so I can just automatically switch your action to a different target.

Each round will last 24 hours from when I post (e.g. if I post at 6:00 PM EST, the round ends the next day at 6:00 PM EST). If you haven’t posted by then, I will NPC your action (most likely that will mean moving you to cover and cowering).

If there is a surprise round, I will note who can act and who cannot in the Initiative post.

Bounties: It is possible, at some point, you will manage to get a bounty placed on your head. The value of the bounty will be equal to your current level times a credit value of the severity of your crime, plus extra depending on how spiteful the person you upset is. These bounties could be either Imperial bounties or underworld bounties. Multiple bounties do stack to determine the total value (although some may be mutually exclusive).

Character death: Although I rarely kill someone, it can happen, especially if the dice decide it’s your time to die. If you die, you can choose to either step out of the game or roll a new character. Your new character must use the same guidelines as previously, with the following exception: you cannot be a member of the Jedi Order. Other Force traditions are okay, but the Jedi Order is out. The Empire has been systematically exterminating or capturing them as they encounter them, and this is a reflection of that.

Level Up: When you level up for new HP, you can choose to either roll or take half your hit die+1 (e.g. d10 hit die is 6 new HP). If you choose to roll, you must accept the result of the roll. Please remember to double-check the prerequisites for your talents and feats, as well.

Knowledge checks: Remember, you can always make a Knowledge check untrained, but can only get DC 10 information.

You mean at the latest, right? Like, if everyone posts within the first 2 hours and you have time, you'll get a post up sooner than waiting another 10 hours? Otherwise I feel like Combat will go very slowly.

Welp, here I am! BTW, took a look at my abilities, and realized that the Zabrak Heightened Awareness does the same thing as the Scout Acute Senses talent: both allow a Perception check reroll. Would it be possible to count Heightened Awareness as Acute Senses for prereqs? Or just gain a third reroll?


@NT-2B: Yes, that is what I mean. I'm trying to make sure I'm accommodating all time zones.

@Jace: No, you are not. F. Castor's Jeren Vallin is also a Jedi.

@Vessani: You just get another reroll. So you can reroll a check twice.

Mmkay, I figured that's how you would work it, just wanted to make sure.

As to images, I went with more of an "In The Spirit" of my character, since I can't think of a humanoid with head horns like a Zabrak.

Hello all. My my my, you have been busy while I was sleeping. :-P I will catch up in a while, making Jeren's profile (finding a proper pic is going to be a bother as usual, but at least my character is human; fitting pic Daaneth, by the way) and deciding on any last minute gear changes if the GM permits.

Jeren will be going for lightsaber combat really, as I always did prefer the laser sword stuff to the Force magic stuff. Basically, and I know that I am thinking way far ahead, I am looking at stuff like Rapid Strike, Double Attack, Accelerated Strike, Acrobatic Strike, Weapon Focus, Triple Crit and such for feats (alongside stuff like Skill Focus (Use the Force), Strong in the Force and Martial Arts). As for talents, things like Weapon Specialization, Block, Deflect, Redirect Shot, Ataru, Juyo, Vaapad and Multiattack Proficiency (so I am certainly going for the Jedi Knight PrC). But of course this is just me thinking and planning. Things will depend on how the game goes and for how long (preferably looong ;-)) and which sourcebooks the GM will allow or not. I am seeing Initiative and Use the Force only. Since a Jedi starts with a number of trained skills equal to 2 + Int mod (Jace has an Int of 11, so he begins with 2 trained skills) and the GM was kind enough to have Jedi begin with Use the Force as trained, that means that Jace has only picked Initiative and thus he has one more remaining trained skill to choose.

Going back and checking the descriptive text for the utility belt, it seems that it comes filled with several items that I bought with credits thinking that the belt was empty to begin with (the fact that it costs 500 credits should have given me a hint, I have to admit).

Also, I had neglected to pay the license fee for the sporting blaster pistol.

Both these little discrepancies have now been taken care of, which leaves Jeren with 160 credits.

Sporting blaster pistol: 300 credits
-License fee: 15 credits (5% of base cost)
Knife: 25 credits
All-temperature cloak: 100 credits
Hip holster: 25 credits
Concealed waist holster: 50 credits
Utility belt: 500 credits
Extra energy cell: 10 credits
Extra ration pack x2: 10 credits
Mesh tape: 5 credits

Also, I moved his various weapons around, basically putting his knife in the concealed waist holster and having him keep his lightsaber separated into two parts and keeping each part in a different belt pouch (one on the right side and the other on the left if you want to be specific :-)) among other little things. Thanks for the idea by the way.

What else? Oh, and I noticed that according to the errata, not only does a sporting blaster pistol have the "accurate" quality (no penalty when firing at short range), but as far as the stun setting goes, any weapon that has it can be set to stun and do stun damage equal to its normal damage (when set to stun, maximum range is 6 squares unless noted otherwise though).

So, I think I have corrected everything. Character profile should be done now, albeit with the exception of a pic.

I am not entirely happy with Jeren's profile pic as it seems kinda sinister. On the other hand, the guy in it is slender and fair-skinned, has a hood on and appears to be smiling in a way that could be considered a little sarcastic. So, eh...

If I find something more fitting or more to my liking or both, I may change it, but for now it will do I suppose.

You need to add a trained skill because you have to choose two trained skills from the Jedi's class skills (a Jedi gets 2 + Int mod trained skills chosen from among his class skills), but you have chosen only one, that being Initiative. Use the Force is being given free to Jedi characters courtesy of the GM (he says as much in the opening post of the recruitment thread).

Jedi Purge Survivor (Event Background):
Whether through luck, skill or the actions of another, you managed to avoid execution at the hands of the Clone Troopers during Order 66. Alone, you have traveled the galaxy, looking for your former comrades. Perhaps, instead, you went into hiding, seeking only to live out your days in peace.

Regardless, you have gotten very good at avoiding attention. You may reroll a Stealth check to hide or to blend into the crowd.

Relevant class skills: Deception, Knowledge (galactic lore), Stealth

Now, as far as the Jedi Purge Survivor Event Background is concerned. It grants a certain effect, in this case allowing you to reroll a Stealth check to hide or to blend into the crowd.

Other than that, you also get to choose one of its three relevant skills to make it a class skill for your character. This skill just becomes a class skill, allowing you to choose it to be a trained skill. It does not automatically count as trained, nor is it obligatory to make it one of your trained skills.

As for banding together, given Jeren's experience with the Order, he is a bit disillusioned -even embittered- by it, at least until his mind is changed and he has reason to rethink things. Thus, he simply tried to survive these past five years by moving around a lot, keeping a low profile and not using or showing his Jedi powers and lightsaber and not actively trying to seek out other survivors. So, for now he is on his own. However, once the characters team up and start to work together, the fact that there is another ex-Jedi among them will be something to consider, as it may show to Jeren that the Force may have plans, regardless of whether it is true or not. Jeren himself is not going to be advertising what he was/is though (though Use the Force can be used to sense such things).

So for now, let us say that Jeren has come to the Station alone, even if it seems he will not be leaving it the same way. :-)

I meant to post about this earlier, but I have a standing offer - at least on all Star Wars games - to provide better Avatar options. I wrote a Google Chrome plugin that does some avatar replacement. I'm intending to use it for at least my character. Here is a slightly outdated example of it in use in my Edge of the Empire game.

Essentially if you or anyone else is interested, just send me the link to a character image, I'll do the resizing and everything, and I'll send you a link to install the plugin, and then (provided you're using Chrome, of course), you'll get the image you sent me rather than whatever you have it set to from the Paizo selection.
