Did anything come of my meditation to get rid of the dark side taint?

Spend the Force Point and you're good.

I was under the impression you wanted it red out.

I do, but also the Force Point expenditure. Instead of saying, "I spend a Force Point to remove my Dark Side Point," I want a description of how you do it. Add flavor to the mechanic.

Jarl & Daaneth:

"Ah, yes, of the blaster pistols and rifles I have an excellent selection of standard weaponry. But, if I may say so, you seem like a more discerning sort of customer. For that, I have some...special goods."

He presses a key command, causing the display case before you to show some less common weapons. Grinning, the Besalisk watches you, gauging your reaction.

You see the following: Ascension Gun (Galaxy At War p. 37), Merr-Sonn Model 434 (Clone Wars p. 63), Blastech DLT-20A (Clone Wars p. 62), a couple hold-out blasters, and...(Galaxy At War p. 38-40)

"This right here is a full Clone Commando's weapon kit. Sidearm blaster pistol, plus Interchangeable Weapon System, or ICWS. In perfect working order, of course. I went to great lengths to acquire it."

Daaneth watches without reaction as the special goods are revealed, having seen this set up many times in his dealings with weapons dealers it was easy to feign boredum. As Jarl picks up both the Merr-Sonn and the Blastech he gives the signal, quickly appraising both guns as suffecient for the task at hand.

GM Phntm888 and NT-2B:
"Ah, yes," Jeren says simply hearing the man's price. He then pauses, thinking about it before speaking up again.

"How about this? Give me a discount on the information, say 3500 credits for it all, and you get to make some new and very capable friends. Friends who could always give you a hand with something or other should you decide to call in the favor in the future. What do you think?"

Persuasion (Force Point used): 1d20 + 2 + 1d6 ⇒ (16) + 2 + (5) = 23

NT-2B & Jeren:

"Hmm...an intriguing proposition. 3500 credits, and if you come across information that may be valuable in your travels, you pass it on to me. Are we agreed?"

If yes (Jeren & NT-2B):

"Excellent! I think I'll enjoy doing business with you!"

He calls up information on his computer, and then places a data card in a slot to transfer the information.

"This data card will have details of his operation. He mostly deals in spice, prostitution - low-level criminal activity. He keeps a 12-being security force in his employ, though, and his right-hand is a vicious Trandoshan female named Kraaza. Her hobbies include torture, murder, and hunting sentient creatures."

Leaning forward, he smiles, and says, "But the best bit of information has nothing to do with his operation. He uses much of the money he's made to acquire artifacts associated with an ancient cult of Force users known as Sith. Supposedly, the Jedi wiped them out a millennia ago, but in a galaxy this large, who's to say one or two didn't survive, hmm?"

Chuckling, he removes the data card and hands it to you. "It was a pleasure doing business with you. Do keep in touch."

"You have a keen eye my friend. Tell, me your price for the Ascension Gun, the Merr-Sonn and the Blastech. I am afraid the ICWS may be too much for my credit chip to bear". he grins at the Besalisk. "Much as I would like it if only to mount it on my wall, a fine weapon to be sure".

What is our Credit situation again? We never had the chance to spend anything from the first job but we did not get fully paid for our last job either. Do we have access to the "slush" fund?

Credit situation: the "slush fund" from Gibby is 7,000 credits total. You've each gotten some credits from your last job, and you have the credits from your first one. Jeren is spending 3500 credits for the information broker. You can also dip into the ship fund, should you choose.

Jarl & Daaneth:

"For the Ascension Gun, 2500 credits. 3,000 for the Blastech, and 1500 for the DeathHammer."

With their task finished, he turns to the droid. "Shall we Not2Bee? It seems we have some reading to do once we meet up with the others."

Jarl & Daaneth:

"Ah, but everyone knows a Besalisk has the best weapons. Still, I suppose a small discount wouldn't hurt, say...500 credits?"

Persuasion for more haggle.

Vessani, Jeren, NT-2B, and Jace:

Once Jeren & NT-2B return, they begin going over the data they were presented. The information on Likar's operation and people is fairly comprehensive. Of particular note, his collection of special artifacts includes several scrolls and manuscripts.

Jeren & NT-2B will have to tell you what kind of artifacts they are...

"Fascinating." NT-2B states, looking up from the data pad at the others. "Likar's collection of relics is rather not insignificant. It is a shame that we do not have a Sith artifact to offer hm, I expect making a trade would go rather smoothly." He looks around the others. "I do not suppose that any of you know any remaining Jedi who would be willing to assist us in exchange for such rarities as Likar possesses?"

NT-2B, Knowlesge (galactic lore) to see if you know what the Sith are. Goes for all of you in that little group.

Jeren, Jace, NT-2B:
Vessani listened to the others on their discoveries. "Sorry, as far as I know all the Jedi I knew were killed during Order 66," he said with a scowl. "The Sith, though, aren't they all dead or something?"

Some really nice rolls, guys. Good job.

DC 15:

The Sith were a faction of Force users who utilized what the Jedi called the Dark Side of the Force. They attempted to conquer the Galaxy several times, fighting multiple, prolonged, and bloody wars until they were wiped out 1,000 years ago. The Jedi Order believed Count Dooku had become a Sith in leading the Separatist forces, but most people believe that the Jedi were just covering up their treachery.

DC 20:

There has been a thriving black market in Sith artifacts for over 1,000 years. Wealthy collectors, crime lords, and others have purchased these, regardless of whether or not they can read or even use the artifacts. Those who possess great quantities of such artifacts do seem to have overall worse tempers than those who do not, but that is likely just coincidence. Such items with inherently dark histories must inevitably attract those with similar personality traits.

DC 25:

The Sith were a non-human species that originated on the world of Korriban. They had a small Empire in the Outer Rim that grew in time with the Republic and the Jedi. Both groups were unknown to each other until a pair of explorers from the Republic, blazing a new hyperspace route, stumbled upon their Empire, allowing a Sith named Naga Sadow to come to power and lead an invasion of the Republic. Though he was eventually defeated and the Sith Empire destroyed, this war marked the beginning of a period of several millennia where the Galaxy was repeatedly plunged into war by those adhering to Sith philosophies.

Should we assume we are all together again back at the ship?

Jarl nods to Vessani, "Tell me what you saw at the mansion". He then turns to Jeren, "What did you and Not2Bee find out from the information broker?" Jarl listens intently and begins to develop a plan...

Knowledge Tactics 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23

Jarl:

You have three possible points of entry: the front door, an exterior window, or the hangar. While there is no guarantee that you will be able to land a starship in the hangar, there would likely be room for an air speeder.

The floor beneath his residence is abandoned. It's up to you whether to use it as a staging area - or a possible fourth entry point if you want to try cutting through the ceiling.

Inside, you know you have 12 hired guns, a Trandoshan who enjoys bloodshed, and a crime lord. There is also the possibility of a certain escaped criminal who's been a bit of a thorn in your side. The crime lord also collects Sith artifacts - and, as you plan, you begin to consider the possibility that, perhaps, he has learned something from them. You have droid with a taser, 4 people who seem to have decent combat skills. and one who's combat skills are unknown, plus the weapons at your disposal - which does not include any grenades.

Liberty's Edge

After relaying the information gained from his scouting mission, Vessani turned to his artificial arm and started examining it. As Jarl was thinking of a plan of attack, he started messing with the wrist portion, trying to decide if a hidden blade would be worth getting while they were on planet. If he could get that anywhere, it would be on Nar Shaada.

Male Human, Soldier 3, HP 45/45 , Defenses F 16 - R 18 - W 14, Force Points 6/6, Initiative +9, and Perception +8 (No Special Senses)

Jarl considers the assault plan with the information provided.

"So the front door has two guards which means there are another ten to twelve inside though some may be out doing who knows what. We would be severely outgunned in a frontal assault so that is out. The hangar would likely be watched so that is no bargain either. It seems our best bet is to go in through the lower levels though that has its own risks.

I think our best bet is to wait for a group of them to leave and ambush them to reduce their numbers. We would need to jam their comlinks so they could not call for help. Then if we can disguise ourselves as them we could enter through the hangar with one team while a second team enters through the floor below.

I'll need to know though, how much can you Jace and you Not2Bee assist us in this type of operation?"

Droid 3 [ HP: 26 / 26 | FP: 17 | Refl +14 / Fort +14 / Will +17 | Init +1 | Percept +11 (Low-Light) ]

NT-2B stares blankly at Jarl, though if he could have an expression it would be one that showed disappointment and surprise. "Why, I can assist with deception, of course. We need some of them to leave? Perhaps they get a call that one of their warehouses is being raided. We need to jam their comms? We need to disguise ourselves to look innocents? Who more than droids goes everywhere and goes ignored?"

"I agree with the ambush, that's a smart play, but how much armor are these guys wearing exactly?" Daaneth asks as Jarl proposes his plan. "Not2Bee is right that he can probably get in without much issue but it's going to take a very good disguise to cover, um...these." He points to his own montrals, then Jace's oblong Vurk skull.

"Vessani could wear a helmet easy if the guards are wearing any, but otherwise that leaves just Jarl and Jeren to back up the droid while the rest of us try breaking in from below. We're risking some unfavorable odds here. What are we using to break through the floor by the way? Do we need to go shopping again? I'm not sure we have the time."
