Niko darts into the room and stops near Hassam. Flicking his wrist, he produces a wand and taps the bard with it.

Robella lunges with her fangs as Niko rushes in to help Hassam.

"Who are you? Why did these fools imprison you?"

"We were on a ship back to Janderhoff from Magnimar when we were attacked by pirates. They made some deal with the thieve's guild here ta house us until the pirates can get ransom money."

Leif nods in understanding the gestures for his companions to set the dwarves free.

As the thieves guild is utterly defeated, the Umbra Carnival is completely exonerated. The crowds return to the carnival and performances sell out. The town seeks a replacement for the kindhearted Sister Woodmere, as well as guardians for the Braeton children. Chelaxians and Varisians set aside their differences in an annual memorial to the victims. A greater understanding is reached, and the community grows even stronger.
