AP: Reign of Winter: The Snows of Summer (Inactive)

It has been a century since the immortal witch Baba Yaga last visited the world, and the hour draws nigh for her return. But when she fails to appear in the frozen realm of Irrisen to usher in its newest ruler, pockets of winter begin to grow throughout the Inner Sea region. After 1,400 years of perpetual winter, the icy curse of Irrisen is spreading! What links do these strange blizzards and swaths of wintry landscapes have with Irrisen, and is there any truth to the growing rumors that the Witch Queen Elvanna has taken full control of the realm? Can her plans for the Inner Sea be thwarted, or will the Reign of Winter engulf the world?

Truth be told, I'm not sure what to do. My gun isn't very effective against these things, and throwing alchemist's fire at the tree only pissed it off.

The gun was fine. You mostly missed with the alchemist's fire, only hitting it with splash damage.

Hey all. I am so sorry that I did not post to you sooner. I just finished finals for the semester and closed a play, then got a horrible case of the flu. I've been out of touch with the universe for a little while. My apologies for holding things up.

I am really sorry, I know I have been one of the worst about posting and I am very sorry. It is never my intention to leave everyone hanging for months on end, that isn't fair to any of you.
I am going to make it a habit, no matter what is going on in my week I will check at least once a week. I am going to try to make it more, and get myself immersed into the story.

The posting rate amongst us players collectively is poor. I really like the game and it bums me out that I hardly get to play it. I appreciate all you put into it Fey! Your descriptions are great, coming up with rhymes for NPCs, putting links to the map each time, tracking our health, how much you write knowing that typing is a pain in the ass, etc...My fellow players are incredible role players. That's a big part of why I like the game so much! Sorry to be the complainer but this is my attempt to resurrect the posting before I stop checking the boards. It's disappointing to find a week plus go by with no posts or response. Feels like once Ulfrik left the game has been moving soooo sllllloooooowwww. Ok, I'll stop whining now :)

30 DAYS since the last non-Dekka post... Are you guys not having fun? Im confused why a group of real life friends who like role-playing aren't more into the game or making more effort? Any ideas? Lets have some honest communication so we can get clarity.

I have no way to apologize enough for everything that happened. Scott lost his job, and I have had to take a lot of traveling work. Crow had his apartment burglarized, and hasn't had a computer, but that is no excuse for why I haven't been on to post as to why. Once I realized how long it had been, I was so ashamed for not posting and so afraid of backlash from everyone for not doing so I've been paranoidly avoiding it. I an SOOOOOOO sorry. I will get everybody back together to continue, and I am really really sorry about the unforgivable hiatus without explanation. I am working this weekend and will be back Sunday night (I will be out of town in Big Bear with no computer.) I will fix it then, and try to make amends. My sincere and ashamed apologies.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. Sounds rather sucky.

In regards to the story...

You won't have much trouble finding shelter, but you should do it soon, and a fire would be a good idea. There is a supply of firewood in frnt of you, heh. Then, you can parse over the events of the day, and perhaps look over the journal that you found. (Obvious DM hint is obvious, I know.)
