Ice Melts Quietly in Sunlight thinks on what he remembers about the various goblin clans in Whitethrone. He also thinks of any trolls that may have caused him issues in the past, since the trolls are evidently supporting Elvanna. He wants them to start something will be obvious, and that will draw Logrivitch out, but not something that is guaranteed to kill them all. After all, he plans to reward the survivors when he is done!

Also, how many goblins did he rally? Are there any real standouts in the group?

@Ice Melts Quietly in Sunlight: Roughly 2 dozen goblins. No particular stand-outs, unless you want to invent one. Feel free! Also, I thought the current plan was to keep Logrivich in. Might want to double check on the discussion thread.

With possibly the most trepidation at any outing the group has undergone so far, the five heroes leave the bath-house that services the Shrine of the Everbloom. The cold Irriseni breeze feels like a physical blow after the heady humidity of the hot baths. Deliberately and with purpose, the group make their way to Logrivich's tower. Bella had completed her sewing tasks and repaired the uniforms. She made a small one for Ice Melts Quietly in Sunlight and modified a troll's uniform to fit Onyx. Ishbaad's required little modification, though the oread admires the stitch-work covering up a hole over his chest that spoke of a wound that no doubt killed the uniform's former owner. Kuragin, Jorvik and Aoife need no disguise.

The companions arrive at Logrivich's tower shortly before dusk, not wanting to wait too long after their raid to sleep, but still wanting light to provide them with some kind of advantage (trolls have darkvision). They walk brazenly past the bone fence and past the line of caryatid columns to approach the entryway.

All take the time to look up at the side of the clocktower. In big red letters, somewhat obscured by the long, claw-like gouges taken out of the stonework, reads:

Her c-ge is empty, y--r s-ngbird has flown.
Her v--ce is o-rs no-, y-- have y--r crone.

In his rage, it appears Logrivich has also smashed in one of the third floor ice windows, which now allows the breeze in to the already cold tower (marked with an appropriate callout on the tactical).

Okay boys, position yourselves as you like within the hallway, and then we'll enter rounds... and we won't leave rounds until either you or Logrivich lie dead (or you flee!). Post here when you've moved yourself.

"I hoped that would upset him," the child says, looking up to the side of the tower at the jaggedly carved and sundered walls, as she and her companions pass through the small boneyard. There is a slight hint of relaxation that spreads across her face after finally admitting her part in the messages. "I'm glad it did..."

As she crosses the boneyard, the child recites the words from the message above her to no one in particular and as if nothing were erased by the dragon's deadly, rending claws. "Her cage is empty, your songbird has flown..."

"Her voice is ours now, you have your crone..."

The child continues into the structure and is immediately obscured by shadow.

----The night before----

Kuragin withdraws to his chamber early on, his head too full of preparations for the coming day. Only so much can be planned, and what happens, happens. He takes pride of being one to manipulate the fates, but this time the enemy will be a difficult one.

In the privacy of his own room, the witch sits down, on his knees. He takes the Mask of Conflicting Energies, the one Solveig crafted for him not too long ago. His fingers move along the painted surface of the mask, stopping for a moment to the line where the white ends and the black begins. The gem-eyes stare him back, as the witch sits in silence, the mask on his lap. And then, slowly, his lips part for a clumsy prayer.

”O’ Lord Nethys - the All-seeing Eye. In thy image I shall cover myself, body and soul…”

Kuragin never was much of a religious person, and the deities of the Jadwiga surely didn’t have much pull either. As a mender of magic, he did revere Nethys, but didn’t bother with actual worship. So to utter a prayer, first time in his life feels strange indeed. But times are a-changing, and tomorrow he needs all help he can get.

For after tomorrow, nothing will ever be the same.

----Graffiti----

Ishbaad the Chosen wrote:
He leans over to Jorvik and Kuragin, but whispers loud enough for all of his companions to hear, "You think the Stilyagi could have done something like this? Clever. A little paranoia in the ruling family could go a long ways, especially once we slay this dragon.".

Kuragin stares at the writing mouth wide open. He read it again and again. Even being a secret revolutionary himself, such deed is unheard of. Unthinkable. So all he can do is shake his head to deny Ishbaad’s remark. ”No. You heard the Heralds. They claim to be the opposing force to the Jadwiga, and they wouldn’t move their finger. Stilyagi even less. No northman would dare this…”

But following Ishbaad gaze, and the odd words passed between the Oread and the child, he can start to guess who did it.

Madness! They must be mad! Is it too late to turn back now?

In the Courtyard

This is it. No turning back now. It is now or never.

Reaching into his pack, Jorvik retrieves a vial of viscous looking liquid. Placing it in his armpit, he tries to pry the stopper off with shaking hands. Unable to do so, he smashes the vial against his gauntlet. A sharp 'crack' can be heard as the neck breaks off. Jorvik upends the vial so all the liquid pours into the head of his hammer. He watches as it is quickly absorbed into the cold iron. Even though small rivulets run down his etched designs, it all soaks in like a waterskin dumped upon the Osirion desert at midday. Only small wisps of vapor can be seen rising from the hammer.

Just FYI - greater magic weapon is 1 hour per level, minimum CL 5 - so that puppy lasts 5 hours. :)

Ishbaad's progress with Onyx by the time the group had reached Whitethrone was nothing short of remarkable. There was a connection there, something unexplained, but strong.

Ishbaad finally has no trouble keeping up with the faster paced group. Onyx plods along majestically behind the group as the Oread scans the road and buildings ahead with a steady eye.

As they finally approach the bone fence of the marred tower, Ishbaad pauses before the door, in between the statues that do not see the threat in their midst. He straightens his back, sitting up tall in the customized saddle, feet comfortably in the stirrups. He reaches his gauntlet covered hand down to scratch the mighty elk's neck and ear for a moment before reaching up to the bandolier of prepared potions and oils on his chest.

I am going to make an assumption here to save time that Jorvik can cast Heroism (50 minute duration) from the scroll using a caster level check. (see discussion thread) If using a scroll is not an option, I am going to assume we would have discussed it before leaving, and so Ishbaad will have gotten a potion instead of the scroll. Let me know if that is ok.

The magics of the spell with a fitting moniker wash over Ishbaad. Heroism - 50 minutes He then pulls a vial from his bandolier and tips it back. Resist Cold 10 - 30 minutes

With that complete, he shuffles Onyx to the middle of his brave companions. He looks up for a moment at the red letters on the tower, and the evidence of the rage of the dragon. He looks back down to his little charge.

So small in stature, so big in heart.

He looks to his brother in battle, Jorvik. Never will there be another northman like Jorvik.

His eyes fall to his goblin friend. The one he thought he would have to kill for approaching Aoife back in Heldren, when the days were warmer. Do not judge a book by its cover they say. And so you are living proof.

Finally he looks over to Kuragin, the most conflicted of the group. Whatever wrongs you committed, they will be righted when you herald the coming of your true queen. All in Irrisen will tremble at the name of Kuragin, Winter Witch.

With each one, he reaches out his hand, mumbling a simple prayer each time. "Gloria in bello. Sicut erat in principio, et nunc, et semper, et in saecula saeculorum. Amen."

Takes 5 rounds to cast remove fear on each person, including myself. 10 minute duration.

Lastly, I decided I am going to save protection from evil for a little bit - only a 5 minute duration on those so I want to make sure they are active when we face the dragon.

Edit: Lastly Lastly...

As soon as the group is ready to bust down the door, Ishbaad draws his mighty sword from its sheath. He holds it in front of his face, pointing straight to the sky above him, and invokes the flames of his goddess. Flames of the Faithful - 5 rounds only, so will wait until the last possible second before casting.

As the party approaches the tower, Ice Melts Quietly in Sunlight starts drinking extracts, starting with his mutagen. He knows preparation is key, but they are going to kill a dragon today. His renown will become legendary, no goblin has ever stood up like this! And the horde! He could only imagine what they will find there. But do not wear anything until Kuragin or Jorvik or Ishbaad says it is ok.

The ring weighs heavily on his hand, for there has been no time for Kuragin to remove it. Ice Melts Quietly in Sunlight is ok with that, because he has heard that true heroes always have a weakness... Or was that villains?

By the time they have reached the tower, he has drank all of his really long extracts. He thinks about it for a minute, and gives his friend, Aoife, another potion of enlarge person, just in case. Healing potions abound in his haversack, carefully tucked away. He fingers his healing infusions with the knowledge that their use is only a moment away. I need to see if Heafoc knows cure moderate wounds, later, 'cause that would be good, right?'

He keeps quiet, not even grumbling about how he cannot use his goblin martyrs, do how Aoife didn't ask him to help paint. He wonders if he'll need the Morningstar at his hip, or whether his mere fourteen bombs will be enough, knowing he plans to focus them when he attacks the dragon.

He is ready, more ready than he has ever been in his life. He is protected with Mithral, and with the stout hearts of his Longshanks friends... He has never been more alive!

And so it begins...

It is a hero's business to enter a dragon's lair, but Kuragin surely doesn't feel like one. But, hopefully adequate magic can fix that, and make him feel more heroic. The witch takes a stack of scrolls from their recent purchases, and one by one opens them and casts the bound magic.

"Ishbaad the Hero - May your blade find the dragon's heart!"
"Jorvik the Hero - May your arrows pierce the dragon's eyes!"
"Aoife the Hero - May your fists smite the dragon to ground!"
"Ice Melts Quietly in Sunlight the Hero - May your bombs burn the dragon to ashes!"
"Kuragin the Hero..."May you survive to see the next day... - May you rob the dragon it's destiny."

Cast 5x Heroism from scroll, duration 50min

There. Much better now. Feel much braver now. Ready to take on the dragon.
Unfortunately, Kuragin wasn't ever very good at lying, even to himself. So he just swallows hard and tries to look braver than he is. Cold sweat trickles down his back, as he continues to cast spells and drink potions for his defense.

False Life: 1d10 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8 Duration 5 hours
Mage armor from wand, duration 1 hour
Resist Energy/10 (Cold) from potion, duration 30min
Elixir of Hiding, duration 1 hour

The companions enter the clock tower, unmolested by the statues that stand guard outside. The ticking of the clocks and the grinding of gears from the mechanisms above can be clearly heard in the entryway. Once everyone is ready, astride the mighty megaloceros Onyx, Ishbaad kicks the door in.

Two trolls appear to be arguing over the corpse of a small child. Undersized bones litter the floor, far more than Aoife had noticed before, and all of them are broken or chewed upon. At least half a dozen small skulls are visible amidst the carnage. The argument between the trolls comes to an end as the dead body is torn in two and they both look up, dumbfounded, to see the companions about to descend upon them.

"Whaddaya want?" the topmost one drawls in heavily accented Skald.

Giving you surprise round here. They were expecting any intruders to at least get into an altercation with the statues before coming in and even if they heard you, they wouldn't expect you to be there to kill them. That's madness, right?

Initiative rolls:

Quick note for everyone, should you decide to charge you will give me some bonuses to hit from my distracting charge feat.

Ishbaad contemplates shouting, or puffing out his chest, or otherwise making some impressive display of power. But now is not the time. Not yet, not with these stupid brutes. He files the horror of the child's death away for a later time. Now is not the time to overreact about that either. These two would be dead shortly anyways.

He guides Onyx in through the enlarged doors casually, his greatsword held in both hands, cocked back to his right. The hood of his yeti cloak is pulled over his head, twisting his oread visage into something else otherworldly and frightening.

"You are being relieved of duty." he states, matter-of-factly.

"Permenantly."

Surprise round, move into room. Thought about using my standard action to demoralize with my +18 intimidate check, but positioning was more valuable I think.

The hammer reverberates off the flagstone displaying some spider-line cracks. 'BOOM'. Using the momentum of the recoil, Jorvik brings it down once again in front of him. 'CRASH'.

"Know that I am Jorvik Rybalt of the bloodline of Queen Harcartha. You are in violation of all that we of the North hold dear, and I am here to judge you. I will reclaim the North, and I will do it as I step over your dead bodies! Prepare to die those who stand before me!"

Please pay attention. We are resolving surprise round first. Jack, I know you're going to be busy with Con of the North from tomorrow until next Monday, but if your round 2 post was to help with that, please spoiler such things and explain why you've done it so other players don't get confused. Also, round 1 is combo buff / door / surprise, so no round 1, just surprise round then round 2.

Just in case there was some confusion, I'll spell it out again in different words: Please post your surprise round actions. We will resolve those first. Then I will call for your round 2 actions.

@Ice Melts Quietly in Sunlight: Also, just noticed that you moved as though it was a full round instead of a surprise round. I've put you back behind Jorvik. Even at that range and with a soft cover bonus to his AC, you still got him.

Green troll reflex save: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10

The trolls' eyes go wide as they realize these people are not here to actually relieve them, but to kill them. The raging song fills their chests with (unenhanced) fury, and then the bomb comes. They squeal the most high pitched squeals of their lives as the fire explodes around them.

Also, I'll roll the fire damage at the conclusion of their turns to keep things nice and together (I'm keeping track of the conditions on the combat table)... and I believe it should be the purple troll on fire, correct? He was the main target of the bomb.

As Jorvik starts to chant, muttering words with a steady rhythm that begins to call up growing rage and a previously latent, stirring power. With instinct she feels one hand drift to the hilt of her blade, and can feel a slight annoyance that her scouting of this place, which could have been so helpful, had be scolded by her friend, Jorvik. There was the hint of disappointment that she was letting him even help her now, but quickly felt this feeling disintegrate, overwhelmed by the cleansing and singularly focused nature of blinding fury.

The pitiful corpses lining the room and strewn about as if they did not matter in the slightest drove her hate now. She could not help feeling anger at both the monstrosities before her, for what they had done, but also for herself for having come so close to helping those unfortunate souls, only to leave them to a doomed fate.

Blindly she accepted the rage and focused the building torrent into strength that would guide her hand.

Kicking forward she passed through the doors of the room and circled behind the imposing form of Ishbaad astride the gloriously majestic, Onyx. Surprisingly, the child did not draw her weapon as she moved, prevented by a dangerously malicious desire within herself that hoped to crush the vile beasts with her hands.

Trolls. Mostly an annoying speedbumb on their way towards the dragon. But at the same time, they can be very dangerous, especially since Kuragin and his friends should try to preserve their strength for Logrivitxh.

Let's try to make this quick..

Kuragin stays where he is, reluctant to go anywhere near the bestial creatures. But this is close enough. He concentrates, summons the powers of his Patron to hex the closest troll into slumber.

Kuragin, the purple troll is on fire and the flames will wake him (but your hex will indeed make him prone). Since 'closest troll' is actually the green one and you can draw a line from your corner to his corner without it being blocked, I'll assume it was the green one.

Green troll will save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

The southernmost troll yawns suddenly and falls to the hardwood floor, fast asleep. Panic fills his companions eyes as the flames continue to lick at his body and the five adventurers start to move in on him.

This is the prime reason I didn't want to combine the rounds. Now, does Ice Melts Quietly in Sunlight lob a bomb and wake him up? Does he target purple again and exclude green? If Jack doesn't post before it's the baddies' turn again, I'll modify Ice Melts Quietly in Sunlight's action as appropriate for the situation.

Lockwooded Aoife.

Aoife swings her sword at the troll. It has been a while since she has used it and almost misses. However, the troll is still in a state of shock and her blade finds its mark... ending the creature.

Ice Melts Quietly in Sunlight looks to have been considering another target but upon seeing the big thing fall, lobs a bomb at the remaining one anyway. The ice troll wakes with a start as fire engulfs its body. Panicked, it screams, "Garskink, Koruunden, bu yerda olish!*" while it rolls around on the ground to put the flames out.

* Giant:
"Garskink, Koruunden, get in here!"

Reflex save, prone: 1d20 + 8 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 8 + 4 = 19

The doors to the south fling open and yet another ice troll enters the room to menace Aoife (red troll, move to open door, move to get where it is - no attack), while another of its comrades (blue troll, move into room, attack) hurries into the room to hack at Ishbaad with its enormous cleaver.

Blue troll cleaver vs Ishbaad: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24
Damage: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (3, 5) + 4 = 12

Ishbaad's shiny new armor turns the blow away at the last minute, much to the troll's chagrin.

Both trolls scream in unintelligible giant-tongue. The companions are pretty sure they are saying, "What the f#~* is going on in here?" or an equivalent.

Unfortunately, Ishbaad doesn't have the spirited charge feat, which is what doubles/triples charging damage like Pooka. /sigh. :)

Seeing an opportunity to make a statement Ishbaad urges Onyx forward for the first time in a real battle. It isn't a great distance, but still enough for the gigantic elk to develop some momentum.

Ishbaad dismisses his worries that he hasn't had enough time practicing the swing of his sword, and the corresponding duck of Onyx's massive antlers to allow a path for his deadly blade to cut down. Instead he focuses on Jorvik's Battle Hymn. He lets the words flow through his veins and allows his heart to beat furiously in time with the chant.

Accept inspired rage

"Now!" he shouts as Onyx bears down on the newest Troll to enter the room, ignoring the one who bounced a cleaver off of his shiny plate male, gashing the winter guard uniform badly. Onyx lowers his head in an attempt to gore the troll while the flaming greatsword arcs in over the elk's lowered head.

Ishbaad power attack, inspired rage, charge, heroism: 1d20 + 10 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 10 + 2 + 2 = 34 for +1 cold iron, PA, IR, Flames of the Faithful: 2d6 + 17 + 1d6 ⇒ (6, 3) + 17 + (5) = 31

Onyx, Gore: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18 for gore damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

I think I have the wrong stats for Onyx, from herolab. Going to have to dig into that, but I don't want it to slow the beginning of this fight down, so I will live with it for now (on account of me not looking closer when I had the time)

*previews* Giggity...

Ishbaad crit confirm: 1d20 + 10 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 10 + 2 + 2 = 29 for crit damage, no flames.: 2d6 + 17 ⇒ (6, 4) + 17 = 27

Ok - recap: 53 magic and cold iron damage, 5 fire damage to the red troll. Provoked an AoO from the blue troll. Charging, so -2 AC. Onyx did 4 damage as well to red.

"YOU HAVE BEEN RELIEVED!" Ishbaad shouts, finally falling into the battle lust he didn't realize he craved so much.

Ishbaad and onyx dash madly past the troll. He cannot help but take the opportunity to hack once more at Ishbaad.

Blue troll AoO: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22

Yet again, Isbhaad's armor turns the blow away at the last moment.

Ishbaad's massive greatsword arcs down trailing fire and decapitates the troll. Its smoldering stump of a neck smokes for a brief moment before the entire creature's body flops to the floor... followed shortly by the head hitting the ground on the far side of the room. Onyx sticks his massive antlers into the dead troll for good measure.

The mess off blood and flaming troll meat does not hear Ishbaad's quip, but the others do and they look... afraid.

It felt good to say that, he never cared much for trolls and other creatures Queen Elvanna has taken under her wing. His words are quite well backed up by Ishbaad decapitating one the trolls. This is quite a new side of the Oread, one Kuragin hasn't seen. Is the true Ishbaad, or is it just the anticipation for the dragon that drives him so?

Kuragin patiently wait until Jorvik has delivered his attack, and should the troll yet survive, he invokes the hex of slumber on the troll.

Seeing yet another troll slumps to the ground, an unnatural slumber taking hold and forcing its consciousness away from its body. As the creature collapses in a heap, limbs strewn awkwardly about, beside the other still sleeping troll, the child springs forward. A few quick steps later and Aoife is behind the newly sleeping troll, standing opposite Ishbaad. Slowly she raises the greatsword above her head, her hands trembling with barely restrained power, and the child's eyes search over the sleeping foe for a weak spot upon which to strike.

Move Action: move 35-feet to current position
Next Round: (just declaring my intention, not necessarily reading an action) Aoife will attempt a coup de grace on the blue troll

Aoife, coup de grace attempt, if troll does not wake from sleep:
damage: cold iron greatsword, critical: 1d10 + 16 + 1d10 + 16 ⇒ (4) + 16 + (7) + 16 = 43

Following Aoife's killing blow, Ice Melts Quietly in Sunlight pulls an alchemists fire out of this haversack. He then lobs it over the fallen troll to hit the one behind it over the blue onto the green, I think .

maybe cover as well: 1d20 + 14 - 4 ⇒ (10) + 14 - 4 = 201d6 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12splash 6 fire

"There. That will keep them from regenerating! Now, we go kill granny?"

Ice Melts Quietly in Sunlight will wait until after Aoife moves up and does her CDG. Otherwise he looks to Jorvik.

No time for a proper post right now, but please only post for the round that has been requested! That looks like a delay to me, so that's what I'll make it. Something happens in round 3 after Ice Melts Quietly in Sunlight's turn, which I'll post later this morning.

Aoife moves over to slice the head from the troll, trying not to wake it as she places her greatsword over its throat. Ice Melts Quietly in Sunlight prepares to throw a vial of alchemist's fire at both the trolls, ready to end their regenerative abilities long enough to permanently kill the things.

However, before the plan comes off, the door to the armory opens with a creak and a loud smash as the force with which they were opened causes them to fly into the walls. Behind the group and yet another hulking troll appears. A smaller, more corpulent creature covered in pustules can bee seen at his feet, just behind him. "Ahdga! Bu yerda siz eshakni chiqib oling, Bonepick!*" he screams in the ponderous language of giants.

* Giant:
"Intruders! Get your arse out here, Bonepick!"

The companions in the hallway instantly recognize the fat, dog-like thing as a trollhound.

Rolled knowledge checks off-screen for you. It is a regular trollhound. Bestiary entry here.

The human-sized four legged thing slavers at the sight of more prey and rushes forwards eagerly to chew on Jorvik.

Trollhound bite: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
Bite damage: 1d10 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
Trip attempt: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27

Distracted by his own rage, Jorvik is unable to dodge out of the way and the hound goes for his leg. Savaging the half-elf's calf, the thing rips away and upwards causing Jorvik to lose his balance and come crashing to the ground (tripped and you are now prone). The disgusting trollhound's saliva is flecked with yellow and green. Jorvik can feel more than just the pain of the wound as the infectious saliva mingles with his blood.

Jorvik fort save: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (16) + 14 = 30

Luckily - perhaps - the wound seems to be pouring blood out and not taking it in.

@ GM Damo: since it is technically a new round, I'm not sure if I should roll a new coup de grace/damage roll, so I've included the previous roll in quotes, and spoilered a new roll so you have the option to use either.

The child stands over the slumbering form of the troll and feels a twinge of sadness rising above and peering through the waves of anger at the monstrosity before her. It looked almost peaceful to her then, not dangerous or malicious, ungracefully slumped in a heap. Though next her eyes caught sight of the pitiful bones and tattered remains of the once children that still littered the floors, strewn about without care, pity, or remorse for the lives that were taken far too soon, which those remains represented to Aoife.

She brought the blade down with in silence, though still felt pitty for the beast all the same.

@Aoife: Happy to take your earlier spoilered rolls.

Okay, so I've done a bit of reading and the troll cannot die from a coup de grace unless you also disable its regeneration. Since it's asleep and dealing fire damage would wake it, there are so many edge cases here that I'm not going to bother sifting through RAW. If I were ever going to run PFS again, I might even care what the RAW are in this situation. However, I'm going to say that if it fails its save, the CDG puts it at precisely -ve hp enough to kill it (so -con).

Fort save (needs a nat 20): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11

The troll wakes suddenly from its slumber as Aoife's sword enters its throat. A split second later, it slumps back down, very still as the greatsword severs its spinal column. Not quite beheaded, the troll spasms as its nervous system attempts to re-knit itself.

Since regen is in play here and order matters, please note that all other PCs' actions occur before Aoife's Coup-de-Grace. Do not damage the blue troll (waking it) or that will invalidate Aoife's post

Ishbaad grimaces as he sees Jorvik go down from the pull of the trollhound.

One thing at a time, and I can't get close enough yet, he laments to himself.

Reaching down he brings his flaming greatsword into the exposed chest of the green troll laying next to him.

raging song, power Attack vs green troll, troll is prone/helpless: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15 for +1 cold iron pa damage: 2d6 + 17 + 1d6 ⇒ (3, 3) + 17 + (1) = 24 last 1d6 is fire damage

As he watches the fire melt away the troll skin, he wheels Onyx around to move towards the hallway and face this new threat.

Recap: Attacking the green troll, 23 magical cold iron damage and 1 fire damage, then moving towards the hall. I can't fit in yet, but if everyone else would like to, retreating back into the room past me is an option, then Aoife and I can get in the hall to give Jorvik some cover to stand back up.

I've been here before, on my back, defending myself from a winter wolf. This troll hound is no winter wolf.

Dropping his two-handed hammer, Jorvik draws his handaxe. Swinging in a viscous chop, Jorvik hopes to hamstring the hound standing above him.

Masterwork handaxe, prone: 1d20 + 13 - 4 ⇒ (8) + 13 - 4 = 17
Handaxe Damage: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7

As the northman swings out, Heafoc streaks in to help defend her master.

Beak: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17
Bite Damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

Standard - attack, move draw axe, free #1 drop hammer, free #2 maintain raging song, note: Jorvik has fast healing 2 while raging.

Did a lot of reading, and I believe that I can crawl 5-feet away, but nothing said I couldn't use a move action to draw a weapon. Let me know GM.
