Ras steps to the beast and swings but his sword bounces off the armor of the beast. Being next to the beast grants Meri arrow more damage killing the beast. Damn, Ras! Nice hits!


Vax in his righteous fury kills the beastie with his mace. Ammon hellfire hits the Dragonclaw human and then Ras moves in hits him once. The second blow from Ras slays the human. The remaining Kobolds not being creatures of Valor run for their lives. Kobold(2) dashes off. As the group moves to pursue they discover the door is heavily damaged. Knowing this door is what keeps the Raiders out is of importance. What do you want to do?

Sorry to hear that, Meri. Your bow and blades will be missed. This is a little slow for me too, but I am going to stick it out.

Vax, slipping the mace-strap into the clip at his belt, says, "Ammon, if you would?" Indicating the running kobold, he turns to Meri.

"Meri, go back to the mayor and inform him of the door. Get the materiel and experts to replace or repair it. We will guard this area until it can be repaired."

Having a pretty good passive Insight... The old soldier puts his hand on her shoulder, as if he senses her intent not to return to the group, "Your help has been appreciated. I hope you find what you are looking for."


Meri sorry to hear you leave. I know the game has been slow as far posting. The Encounters in the first session of HTDQ can be a little frustrating. Before I post anymore, I want to know beyond Vax who is going stick around. I know that my job (Army) gets in the way sometime. It is my intention to run this entire adventure path. To include the Rise of Tiamat. If guys would like me to move away from the Adventure League Rules and make this a regular "home" game I can.

The group realizes that the gates stands open as long it not repaired. Miri has gone off to get help, other raiders could come in while they wait. There are several barrels that could be used as barricade if the group decides to use it.
Tell me what you guys want to do, if you decide to use the barricade make a STR DC 10 roll for each barrel total of 3.

Are they coming to us? If Ras wants to get into melee, does he need to move out? He would stay and otherwise wait for them to approach and just use his reaction.

Ras, do you have any ranged weapons? Remember that thrown weapons can use your strength bonus to hit and damage! If Vax knows that you have thrown weapons, he would wait until they were as close as possible without giving up the advantage. If we get the advantage it would cancel out the disadvantage for long range too.

I forgot to upload the 2nd lvl version of Vax. I will try to remember to upload it and update the link to lvl 2 Vax this weekend. Not a lot changed. I got 7 more hp and Channel Divinity 1x/day. Looking to trade up to heavy armor, and hopefully get Heavy Armor Master at 4th.
