The full plate doesn't detect as magic, but you can tell that it is fantastically crafted and made from a metal you have never seen before. The battle axe glows with a moderate magic.

The axe is also a fine prize, it is giving off a moderate magic dweomer. I can wear the full plate if it fits and no one else is interested, but if it is worth a lot it may be better to sell and divide the gold. Is someone going to wield the axe?
If any of that viscous fluid with the acid is on the full plate or axe, I will use Create Water to summon some water to rinse it off before we handle it.

The hallway ends in a room:
Three large stone tables stand in the middle of this room, while the long benches that once stood next to them have been knocked askew and overturned.
You are able to see what appears to be a fierce battle between a large group of kobolds and a fat sweaty moon-faced halfling aided by a young girl that fits the description of Kimi Eavewalker.

Three of the kobolds go down from deadly fire from Daedeloth, Jalriel, and Variel while Azzakan's shot goes astray.
The kobolds cry out in dismay as they see their comrades fall and new more stalwart opponents enter the fray. There are 11 kobolds, and 3 extra large kobolds remaining.

Rushing in to melee, Jalriel lays a savage slash on one of the larger kobolds; it staggers but remains standing, its weak counter attack is easily fended off. However, two of the smaller foes land strikes on Jalriel for 6 points. Daedeloth's launches a powerful blow but the block is so strong his weapon flies out of his hand and out of reach! Azzakan takes up a flanking position but is unable to to hit; he takes 7 points as he is counter attacked but additional kobolds. Varile takes a position trying to cover the young girl, but his focus on keeping her safe spoils any chance he has of hitting.

Jalriel connects with another hammering blow, chopping the kobold to the ground. The kobolds, still figuring out where all these new opponents came from, flail about uselessly. One almost connects with Variel, but the blow is turned by his stout shield. His countering blow cuts an arm off-ending the kobold's miserable life.
Azzkan misses badly; -7 to your next action. Daedeloth invokes blessings from above and the party feels inspired to greater hights.

Crying out in a language none of you understand, Azzakan fences with a kobold but is unable to land a blow. Daedeloth stabs at a kobold but the blow is parried, while Jalriel hacks into another large kobold, blood and gore spraying out but not ending the creature's life. Keeping himself between the kobolds and the young girl, Variel's blade flicks out and drops another foe.
Daedeloth and Jalriel both receive what look like viscious hits, but their armor takes most of the effect (Jalriel 3 points; Daedeloth 2 points).
