Podo, I think GM Anselth was kind enough to give us max hit points, half for multiclass.
Made 2nd Level for Ranger!
Some math, I assume we can split the money when we return to Hommlett.
102 sp, 85 gp, and 60 pp
60 pp/7 = 8 pp each, remaining 4 pp goes to the gold
85 gp + 20gp (4 pp)/7 = 15 gp each
102 sp/7 = 14 sp each, remaining 4 sp goes to Gnobby and Podo for their quick hands, for extra 2 sp each for our Gnome and Halfling.
Somebody check my numbers please.
This is only for the money from the last room and not counting gems and other items.

Good group.
Luckily Galavaine is bright enough so I can show off my old school knowledge of Greyhawk. Somewhere in my garage is a scaled map I drew and coloured of this area. I think Verbobonc is in the adventure called the Fate of Istus just for your info - Anselth.
Plus I have always wanted to make the moathouse a viable home, place of business and fort to protect against the Temple. This is my first chance to have a go. What do you guys think?
No worries if you would rather be footloose and fancy free.
Cheers

Almost forgot HAPPY Halloween

Gnobby the Gnome |

With Podo NOT going, and the amount of real time spent in town so far, I am for fast forwarding if possible through the trip away, and, if possible, the trip back to the moat house (we quickly grab Podo on the way back to surprise the evil there as Gnobby sneaks into town to get him)
Gnobby is pricing small sized elven boots and elven cloaks in town with his two elven friends to vouch for his character. He is also looking for a wand of invisibility or mirror images too.
Just my 2cp.

Gnobby the Gnome |

Gnobby was quite street smart, and he searched the town with a list of simple priorities: Elven boots and elven cloaks. With two flowers of elfhood to make the introductions, Gnobby planned to purchase the finest the elves had to offer.
Search for Elven Boots 1d20 ⇒ 1
Search for Elven cloak 1d20 ⇒ 12
Search for magic rings 1d20 ⇒ 6
Search for bag of tricks 1d20 ⇒ 19

As an update, here are the last set of items you found and their values:
92sp
149gp
51pp
Silver necklace with gems - 750gp
29 gems worth 100gp each
3 gold neck chains (50gp each)
1 platinum neckchain (1000gp) with topaz (500gp)
1 black opal (1000gp)
Silver serving set with 5 goblets (3750gp)
Gold and diamond chain (5000gp) with ten fire opals (1000gpeach)
Plate Mail +1 (5000gp)
Staff of striking (20 charges, 6000gp)
Phylactery of action (6000gp) (grants immunity to paralysis and similar effects)
Sell for 1/2 (full value listed):
18 sets scale mail (810gp)
3 suits chain (225gp)
1 suit plate (400gp)
22 shields (264gp)
6 battleaxes (30gp)
19 longswords (285 gp)
3 heavy warhammers (21gp)
3 morningstars (15gp)
18 light crossbows (216gp)
22 daggers (44gp)
Composite Longbow (100gp)
I assume you will liquidate everything in Verbobonc (Hommlett is too small to support the selling of all the gear). I assume you will sell all but the magical items. Including all of the previously gained but unclaimed items gives each individual 4,695 gp, 6 sp, and 5 cp. I subtracted out a half share for Pettry, and 10gp each to cover food, lodging, and miscellaneous expenses. If anyone wants to keep any of the found, nonmagical items, let me know and subtract the half cost from your player bank.
Work out who gets which magic items, or if you want to sell some of them.
Get ready for it - 7520xp each for the treasure.

THANKS Anselth!
Squee!
We found scrolls for Pettry as well right?

At the Elven Enclave Salalndrya will search the highest ranking cleric of Solonor Thelandira or if there is none present, one of Corellon Larethian, leader of the Elven pantheon. She will seek a very brief audience with the Elven ambassador in the city as well if there is one.
She will leave detailed letters of her findings of the Fell Traitor's (Lloth) return to be delivered by trusted courier to the Queen's court in Celene and the High Commander of the Knights of the Hart.
She seeks assistance in finding
1d20 ⇒ 9 a magical strength bow
1d20 ⇒ 10 Elven chain mail (are Ranger's allowed to use this?)
1d20 ⇒ 6 a Cloak of Elvenkind
1d20 ⇒ 13 a minor magical item to protect her like a ring or to aid her archery

Gnobby the Gnome |

Just to make a suggestion. As the striking is somewhat of a force effect, I allowed a casting of magic missile to recharge a staff of striking. Others have thought, as it is mostly clerical, that the reverse of cure lights is appropriate.
Anyway, WOW x2. Loot and experience. Now Gnobby's better illusions come with sound. Will still need party sound effects most of the time still.

Anselth how do you want us to deal with the possibility of spending wealth on our characters? There are no costs attached to equipment like a mace +1 for instance. Especially Podo who is not coming shopping in town.
Sir Galavaine would like the ordinary plate mail. I suggest that Andre takes the magical plate (and Galavaine will pay towards the paladin getting that if you like). Andre's AC could do with the boost. Although maybe he gets it looking nicer than the Lolth priest had it?
Partial list of what Sir Galavaine would like to spend his wealth on - depending on whether or not Andre wants the magical armour.
10% tithe to the church of Heironeous
5% tithe to Hommlett for the reclamation of the moathouse
magical weapon, preferably a heavy flail or hammer
magical shield

Here's a good source for GP costs - anything on the list is available, at 10% less when you show the letter of marque from the Viscount. This is only good on this trip to town. As far as buying gear, just add it to your character sheet and drop the cost. With how big a town Verbobonc is, I don't think there is a question if something is available at the price range you are looking at. Strength Bow adds 100gp per + of damage to be added. :

I assume you're going to check in with the Viscount and report. He will give each individual 1000gp, including a share for those who didn't come to Verbobonc. You don't get xp for this reward.

Sallandrya Iramine Thainel |

Is anyone willing to loan Sallandrya 2,400 gp at 4 percent interest rate that she will pay back?
My 5th Level Pathfinder Witch could come to this edition of the game and sell her Pearl of Power (1st Level), Ring of Protection +1, and her Wand of Fireballs and live like a Queen!

Sir Galavaine of Verbobonc |

Sir Galavaine takes his 4,695gp and buys the normal suit of plate mail for 200gp plus 1,000gp from the Viscount makes 5,400gp and some change (95gp).
The Church of Hieroneous in Verbobonc gets 540gp as a tithe.
Hommlet gets 270gp from him for initial improvements to the moathouse and town militia. Its up to the Lords Rufus and Byrne how they deal with this but I'd like to see the moathouse as a future base of operations for someone.
Thats 5,400-540-270 = 4,590gp.
Then he will show the letter of marque to the best weaponsmith in town and get a +1 Flail made for himself for 3,600gp.
That leaves 910gp which Sir Galavaine will contribute to a worthy cause for the party members such as Andre getting that +1 Plate armour. He has no need for the other foderols.
His change he saves for himself.
Cheers

Podo Bumbleroot |

I haven't figured out how much Podo has at the moment, but he is saving up for something big...don't know what yet, he's just a tightwad... Having said that the idea of making money while it just sits there appeals to Podo. However in his spirit he would negotiate for 5%, as Adventuring is a high risk job, and Sallandrya might not be around to repay him.
[But if she sweet talks him he will lend her the money at 4%]
One thing I liked about old school, is that every city wasn't a magic item store. Except for potions, and scrolls, you basically had to find magic items, so I'm just going to play Podo that way.

Gnobby the Gnome |

I remember magic item sales are somewhat different old school. I think magic items are so rare and precious that their sale value is pretty much constant. You don't sell them for half like pathfinder because you are lucky to find them and it is a sellers market.
So it is more efficient to sell them if they don't exactly fit your needs AND YOU CAN FIND WHAT YOU WANT TO BUY.
Is this correct?
Anyway, with Gnobby taking the boots of elvenkind AND the staff of striking, the entire 5295g and 95 gp = 5390gp of his share will be going back into the party fund.
He would think Podo would like a cloak of elvenkind for 5400gp or a ring of invisibility for 6750gp.

There's no cost to the group for the plate since it was found. I would suggest that the group not treat magic items like mundane items when it comes to divvying up treasure. Once you get into the Temple proper, you're going to see an increase in magical items found, but they're not going to be geared in any particular way. Trying to maintain a wealth-equivalence across the players will be difficult at best. However, if the group would prefer to run that way, we can. I'll work something out to retcon if that's what you want to do.

Sallandrya Iramine Thainel |

Podo did you want Sallandrya to get you anything from Verbobonc?
I have a question, if you fire normal arrows from a magical +1 Bow, are the arrows now considered magical in what they are allowed to damage?
Gnobby is using a Cloak of Elvenkind correct?
