I did not want to clutter the game thread, so I'll ask here.
After we search the room and hide the remains of the combat, should we withdraw to rest and gather spells? It seems we've been lucky but I think we may be pushing our luck. Back to the bandit's room on the top perhaps for sleep and renewing prayers?
And THANKS to Anselth for continued DMing this for us.

Thanks! I was suggesting we rest and gather strength and was using the lack of arrows as a more 'realistic' reason than saying, lets level up. We may not get another chance.
But I think half the group wishes to go forward, if Gobby or Andre concur that's a majority.

My iPhone went haywire over the weekend, I lost half my contacts, literally 600 numbers, clients, address, birthdays and emails all gone.
I could not even enter Paizo because all my passwords were saved and I forgot which I had put here after I rebooted my page last year.
Sorry for missing posting guys! I'm sorry that I could not get on the message boards.
I am using my iPad but I won't have it at school or work so I may not post as often for about four days. I should have a new phone by then.

Good luck Sally. That sounds rough. I am just coming out the other side of a hack and feel for your pain. 600 contacts! Ye Gods.
Anselth et al - I have a very busy week for lots of reasons culminating in me getting older (on Star Wars Day) and a family camping trip so posting maybe slow.
NPC Sir Galavaine as needs be.
I am purposefully keeping out of any henchmen discussion because I know that part of the scenario too well.
Cheers

Unfortunately quick trips back to town are a good idea. Gnobby is keeping the trip simple, because he is afraid that when he wants to go back, everyone will say how long it will take. Hiring a henchman is counter to the quick trip plan.
Plus, Gnobby feels he should be as far away from town as possible for a while.

Yaay Anselth, thanks for starting us up again!
No bowyer in this town? Hmm.
So now I guess Sallandrya has a 'hunt for the bow' side quest after we have dealt with the moathouse. Any GM to player suggestions?

Hi Anselth and my fellow heroes.
Everyone leaves New York in August, in fact two of my friends are going to Gencon.
Same with me, except I'm going on a girl trip. I will be in Japan, (maybe Hong Kong) and Thailand for an Asian tour with friends on the 2nd week to third week of August. I'll let you know before I head off.
I will try to post once a day but I don't know how the internet service will be and I will be on other peoples joint schedule as well.
Hopefully we deal with our evil cleric before then!
I will still be here, maybe not as vocal for fourteen days.

First, I think things are going well in the story.
Continual darkness was interesting as it nullified the main advantages we had: Good archery and a visual illusion.
Now with darkness, it is now a great opportunity for thieves to operate. It forced us to adapt to changing conditions.
I see the difficulty in adjudicating a many on many battle in a field of darkness!!!
By the way, I once had a pool of water that turned those who drank it invisible in my homebrew. When an entire party is invisible, they do not realize how easy it is for them to hit each other and target each other with spells in the heat of combat. The party actually had to pay to get the effect dispelled except for the hobbit thief who became a true 'invisible man'.

Guys I am definitely still playing, I do leave for Asia for twelve days in 39 hours, if we get to take on the evil cleric before then, so much the better.
I'll have internet in Japan but not sure about Thailand, and I will be on my groups schedule so posting will be a little light for me.
Andre Girard |
No worries, Salla. Have some sake for me while you're there!
On a related note, I'll be at GenCon starting tomorrow and ending Mondayish. I don't anticipate having time to do anything PbP related during that time, so bot me as needed. (It should be pretty simple: say a lot of awesome stuff, then miss badly when it comes time to roll.)

日本からのご挨拶!
Greetings from Japan!
Did you guys miss me?
Sorry no real internet and when I had it I lost connection in the backpacking through Thailand, but I should be good here in Tokyo. I'm still on other peoples schedules but should get two posts a day until Friday then I fly back to the US, sleeeeep, and resume regular posting by Monday next week.
Hope you feel better Anselth!
Hope Gencon was fun Andre!
I'll try to locate the noodle house Gnobby.
Good luck with the broadband French Wolfie.

So my landline doesn't actually work. sigh This is going to be my lasting memory of moving here. I am not sure which century I am living in here but the 21st it ain't!
I've stopped reading all the game threads because my opportunities for internet time are limited now my son and wife are in school.
But on the positive side, I did get some Live Action Roleplay all Sunday. They even remembered my old character from 11 years ago. The weather went a bit nasty towards the end but playing a zombie or ghoul was fun. Chasing girls as a slaver even better.
Then last night I joined a group and played Shadowrun for the first time. It was great and the bonus was we played in a game shop that one of the lads owns. Great fun!
How is everyone else?
Cheers

Ack! That sucks, Loup au Francais. It's amazing how much we take our high-speed Internet for granted until we can't actually use it. Hopefully, you'll get set up sooner than later.
I have a love/hate relationship with Shadowrun. I love the setting - I've always loved blending genres, and the fantasy/cyberpunk mashup works well for me. It's a cool world, and more than a few of my friends said they were upset when Ryumyo failed to appear on Mt. Fuji on Christmas Eve last year. I hate the dice system with a passion, and it doesn't help that I could never find anyone who wanted to run a game just using the base book. They all knew how to make stupidly broken characters, while I'm just struggling to decipher the code that everything was written in those books. It sucked all the fun out of those games. It's probably also why I really enjoyed both the Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo games - it removed the awful, awful system.
Still, if you enjoyed it, then that's all that matters. Clearly, enough people love the game that they don't need my cash!
