Oloch - Gimry |

Sounds like I will take the Spear of the Watchful Guardian to upgrade my Longspear unless anyone has any objections.
Additionally, I would like to request one of the ArmorB upgrades. However, I did get an Armor upgrade last time so I would be OK taking the Blessing upgrade if 2 people want armors.
I can't use Allies in my deck at all, so that is useless to me.
I will shop at the Ghoul Market.

Aric? Is that you??? |

I would like the Blessing B as well. Roll off!
1d1000 ⇒ 384
I'll head to the Ghoul Market again to shop.

Enora - Eslibedesh |

I'm headed to Falsin Deek, and I shall take the ally upgrade, as the armors are useless.

BR Elinnea |

Rewards after that scenario:
Aric/Red Raven/dinketry: ([x] or when you examine a card in a location deck)/([x] or turn), Blessing B? pending roll-off
Celeste/Ira kroll: Hand size 7, Blessing B? pending roll-off
Enora/Eslibedesh: ([x] or recharge), Ally B
Oloch/Gimry: ([x] and at the start of your turn), Armor B
I'll get the next scenario set up as soon as this is finalized.

Aric? Is that you??? |

No villain and at the end of each person’s turn, a random monster gets shuffled into a random location.
We have to maximise our turns and close locations quickly.

Aric? Is that you??? |

If no one will claim it, I would like to swap out the Filter Hood for my Gambeson, if that's ok with all.

BR Elinnea |

The shuffling in a monster at the end of every turn is a bit tricky in this format. Please roll a 1d5 at the end of your turn so we know which location is shuffled - and remember to check what other players have shuffled when you start exploring on your own turn. You can pull monsters from the random list if you need them, and I'll try to update frequently as well. We'll see how it goes. :)

Aric? Is that you??? |

I'll plan on going to the Scorched Ruins in order to acquire that ally on my next turn.

Aric? Is that you??? |

I’ve got my eyepiece - that’ll let me ignore at least one trigger.

Oloch - Gimry |

I motion to force Dinketry to take all of our turns. He's 2/2 on turns to location closings. :)

Aric? Is that you??? |

I knew I read that somewhere, GM, but when I re-read the location description, I didn't see that text about drawing all of the boons from the location, so I thought that I had hallucinated and imagined it!
I will draw the Staff of Focus and the Catching Cape from the Scorched Ruins before it closes*. I will recharge the cape and discard the staff. It's too bad that none of the boons aren't anything better than B/C upgrades, but I won't look a gift tomb in the mouth.
*I will also draw and discard the Elemental Treaty, just so our spellcasters have an option for an upgrade at the end of this scenario.
Thanks for the vote of confidence, Oloch! I'm just very lucky.
I'm headed to the Precious Mine next, FYI.

Aric? Is that you??? |

Sorry for forgetting to roll for random monster at the end of my turn.
Nice job, Celeste!

Aric? Is that you??? |

I keep forgetting that stupid d5.
Enora, it looks like you’re going to come party with Aric at the Precious Mine so we can ensure that Oloch gets to make that Fortitude Check to close the Quarry.
Unless the arcanist has something up her rather voluminous sleeves...

Oloch - Gimry |

As long as Enora doesn't add a monster to the Quarry, I should be able to close it this turn. I'll take the Curse and need a 4+ on a d8, but it's doable. We also need to hope Enora doesn't kill herself on her turn.
I'm probably also the best to close the close the Precious Mine, so we may end up brute forcing that closed.

Aric? Is that you??? |

I think the Scarab Swarm card is poorly worded; I agree with you, BR, that your interpretation of the card is what is intended.
Unfortunately, the words OR and AND work exactly the opposite to how it has been written.
Moving on...

Oloch - Gimry |

Eslibedesh and I had a long discussion on the Scarab Swarm as well when he did his turn. He read it the same as you Aric so you aren't the only one confused. Glad the BR confirmed my reading of it or I wouldn't have heard the end of it.
Moving on... to the Phat Lewt phase of the game ;)
Good job on the close, Aric! You have sooo many Allies/Explores. Color me jealous.
I got the following cards this game:
Ally 1
Item B
Armor 1

BR Elinnea |

"If defeated by less than 4, and the check to defeat does not have the Fire trait, shuffle the Scarab Swarm into the deck it came from."
Compare to: "If your name is Jerry and you have no hair, stand up."
If that's your name but you're not bald, you would stay seated, right? I don't really see how to read it another way.
Anyway, that was a great last turn! Here's what I have for acquired cards:
Tomb Raider (Ally B)
Hyaenodon (Ally B)
Porcupine (Ally B)
Aunty (Ally C)
Black Kiss (Ally 1)
Embalmer (Ally C)
Catching Cape (Armor B)
Bone Lamellar (Armor 1)
Holy Water Grenade (Item B)
Magnifying Glass (Item B)
Flame Staff (Item B)
Smoked Glass Goggles (Item B)
Crowbar (Item B)
Elemental Treaty (Spell C)
Kukri (Weapon B)
Galvanic Chakram +1 (Weapon 1)
Staff of Focus (Weapon C)

Oloch - Gimry |

I would like the Weapon 1 as my first choice, however I did get the Loot Weapon, so Aric can have first dibs.
If Aric wants the Weapon 1, I'll decide between the Armor 1 and Basic Weapon when I look at my options again tonight.

BR Elinnea |

See the reward I just posted in gameplay. You can each take two upgrades if you want them, and there are three more Ally B's and one more Ally 1 available.
Also don't forget to roll for your convention reward chance.
Boon?: 1d20 ⇒ 20
!! I'll take a Silver Crusade reward for one of my card guild characters.

Oloch - Gimry |

Rolling for Boon:
Boon?: 1d20 ⇒ 6
No Boon.
Given the Scenario rewards, I would like to request 2 of the following 3:
Armor1
Weapon1
WeaponB

Ira kroll |

Boon: 1d20 ⇒ 20
I will take...
[ ] [ ] Cleanser of Abominations (Silver Crusade Faction Reward): On your turn, you may check an unchecked box that precedes this reward to banish a scourge or a card that has the Curse trait.
You may use this reward up to 2 additional times if you fulfill the following requirements. When you fulfill the requirement, check the box that precedes it; when you use the reward, cross that line off.
[ ] Defeat a villain or henchman that has the Demon, Fiend, or Undead trait.
[ ] Play a card that shuffles at least 1 card from another character’s discard pile into his deck.
If no one objects, I will take an Ally 1 and a Spell B upgrade
Also, for the next scenario, I will swap out my Detect Magic for Remove Curse.

Oloch - Gimry |

Actually, looking at my options again, I'll pass on the Armor 1. There really aren't any good Armors left for me.
So switch the Armor1 request with an ItemB request.

Enora - Eslibedesh |

I'm going to request the Ally 1 and I'll roll off with Celeste for the Spell B, here's my entry --
Spell: 1d1000 ⇒ 382
and for the rewards-
rewards: 1d20 ⇒ 20
I shall take reward number 1- Concordance Faction Reward

BR Elinnea |

To summarize what has been said so far:
Elinnea - Silver Crusade reward
Ira kroll - Silver Crusade reward
Eslibedesh - Concordance Faction reward (remember that you can only have one reward on a character at one time, though)
Oloch: Weapon 1, Item B
Enora: Ally 1, ?
Celeste: Ally 1, Spell B
Aric: ?, ?

Aric? Is that you??? |

Sorry, folks. I had a bear of a day yesterday. Just now getting to reply.
Boon?: 1d20 ⇒ 3 No.
I'd like to challenge for one of the two Ally 1 cards.
Ally 1: 1d1000 ⇒ 51
Yeah, not likely going to win that one.
I'll also challenge Oloch for the Weapon 1 upgrade. Let the dice decide, Oloch!
Weapon 1: 1d1000 ⇒ 732
I'll take the Armor 1 upgrade. If I don't get the Weapon 1 upgrade, then I'll take an Item B upgrade.

Enora - Eslibedesh |

Ally 1- IfIloseThisSohelpMe: 1d1000 ⇒ 325
Okay cool, and I suppose instead of the spell I shall take yet another Ally B
so my total will be an Ally 1 and an Ally B

Aric? Is that you??? |

No temporary closures? Rough.
Ok, it looks like it might be smart to pair up. Perhaps a spellcaster and a martial character together?
Odds, Celeste; Evens, Enora: 1d20 ⇒ 4 Enora!
That's quite acceptable to Aric. That is, of course, if everyone else thinks that that's a good strategy...

Oloch - Gimry |

My proposal below is based off knowing the Villain. I hope that was OK to look. In the physical game, you generally know before the scenario what the Villain and Henchmen are.
Long story no spoiler take is: I'm not too keen on grouping Casters with Martial characters.
Depends on what the close requirements are if you have a non-Arcane user at a location with an Arcane close, you're asking for trouble. At least with my luck, Oloch will hit the Henchman if he's somewhere he can't close. Also, until we find the Mirage, it might make sense to split up individually. Once the Mirage is out of a deck, then I think we will want to focus fire down that deck to close it. Unless the Mirage is in the last deck we search, we're going to have to completely deck one location so we'll want to try really hard not to have to deck more than that one. You can't fight the Mirage until it's in the last location if I'm reading the card right.

Aric? Is that you??? |

I don’t understand your reasoning, Oloch. If you’re worried about having an Arcane closure for a location when there’s not an Arcane user present, wouldn’t you argue for pairing our two Arcane users with our two martial characters?

Oloch - Gimry |

Now you have me second guessing my understanding of the rules, but I thought that the person that encountered the Henchman is the only person that can immediately close the location.
So if Oloch is at a location that requires Arcane to close and then encounters the Henchman, Olochs rolling a d4 base die and probably won't be able to close that location. Now we would have to completely clear the location to close it which wastes time.

Aric? Is that you??? |

We don’t know what the location closure conditions are yet, though...

Aric? Is that you??? |

No locations require an Arcane closure. I think Oloch has a point, however - let's "flush out" the Mirage by spreading us all across different locations to start. For those who didn't read the Mirage card text, if there's an open location left, the Mirage flees to that location (or a random location that's open) as soon as it's examined/encountered. We cannot fight the Mirage until we're on the last open location.
So, we all start at different locations. Once the Mirage has been found, then we all focus on trying to close the location that the Mirage most recently came from - that could be by actually moving to the location. Then we repeat the "flush" until we have only one location left open. Hopefully we have enough blessings left in the deck.
No pairing up. Cool?
