Hack chugs the ale and points at the location of the secret door after wiping his mouth on the bsck of his arm.

Vakase and Kara open the secret door and it leads to a small corridor.

At the end of he corridor lay a small room. In the room at the end of this narrow corridors strange metallic contraption of gears and chains. A large lever extends out at a forty-five - degree angle from the front of it.

Hovering above the contraption is a curious looking creature it is a small, roiling cloud of energy that periodically sends out sparks of electricity into the air or along the chains.

The creature makes no movement or indication that it notices the heroes.

Looking up at the creature, Rurik furrows his brow a moment before remarking, It be a small lightning elemental. Wonder if it be lookin over the machine, er some how bound to it?

Couldn't tell from the description, does the machine seem to be connected/containing the elemental, or is the elemental just near the machine for orientation in the room?

Since no one has actually told her "not" to press the lever, Kara begins inching her way closer to it, as if in a trance.

She walks forward carefully to look at the lever, to at least get a sense of what may happen if it's tampered with.

"It was on fire when I got here!" Kara automatically spits out as Vakase's emission, coming out of her reverie. "Alright, alright, don't get yer undies in a twist." Kara quietly plods over to the lever next to the warlock. "Hmmmm. Okay, from some deep study of the device, cross-referenced with what I've seen in devices like this in the past, I've come to the conclusion that, if we apply proper force here, we can pull the lever dow--what??

Alright, alright fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine. But have you thought about--" in time Kara actually looks at the thing objectively, offering some help, and only twice again trying to pull the lever.

Vakase can take Advantage on her Investigate roll, because Kara is so very smart and helpful. And dependable. ^_^

The elemental ignores Vakase as she and Kara investigate the lever. It looks as if the lever controls some sort of apparatus further on in the dungeon. The tube you spotted outside in the cellblock is obviously connected to the lever. Vakase would assume this opens, or closes some door nearby.

At Davin's half-hint-suggestion-inference-idea-implication-inkling-mention-notion- reference-scent-sign-whiff and whisper that Kara might possibly be allowed to pull the lever...Kara immediate reaches up and pulls the lever.

"If anything bad happen it's Davin's fault," she says proactively, grinning form ear to ear.


I was actually referring to the hallway/room we were in, not that there was not another route to follow...plus I just wanted her to pull the lever!! lol

Davin grimaces as Kara drops the possible blame into his lap, but then shrugs and prepares for whatever might happen when the level is pulled.

@Davin I wasn't responding to your post, I was more or less entreating someone to please post some sort of action that pushes the game forward. I'm ok if that's always Kara, but that might not work out well for everyone else...
Kara reaches the lever and pulls down, immediately two things happen.

1) The party hears a loud shrieking coming from the west.
2) The elemental begins buzzing angrily and darts towards Kara!

Kara screams a high-pitched short scream and immediately runs away from the horrible horrible thing that attacked her for no reason. "Darn it, Davin! Look what you made me do!" she yells...after she's a safe distance away.

Withdraw action 30 feet. Also, Rurik already cast Sacred Flame. =3

Her cheeks still red after summoning the heat, she pauses, lifts her skirt to mid-thigh, and takes out a flask from its home along her leg. She takes a fortifying sip of rumboozle and offers some up the bottle to any takers. "Care for a pull? It'll put hair on your chest."

Kara's constant bouncing serve as clear warning where her vote on the matter lays.
