Let's hope our init rolls don't set the tone for the rest of the adventure. I did try for less lethal options, Noz. Might be a lot of Gillmen we don't really want to kill for no reason. Ill trade one of the color sprays for sleep, that's got 100ft range. Do you want mage armor asap, or when we get to the cave proper?

Is taking 10 uncommon or ill-advised in pbp? I see a lot of ppl with good modifiers not taking 10 and wonder why???

I don't think the rules for taking ten are well spelled out. You can't take ten or twenty if there is a penalty for failure, which pretty much only leaves taking ten on perception. Least as far as I can tell. And what exactly qualifies as distracted? We've got a stranger here that could attack without warning, I'd say we're distracted.

I was told at my FLGS that you can take 10 whenever you aren't in combat/initiative. So maybe there is some table variation, GM comment?

That would make more sense than my interpretation, since mine makes it an unusable feature.


As long as your are not in combat or distracted. Go ahead and take 10. Perception I can even take 20. But disable I will rule can only be 10 NOT 20 due to setting the trap off if you fail. Fair?

I updated the map, please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm trying to judge a good way to attack and shift to not get so many flank attacks on me. I could stay here, it seems they don't have good odds of hitting me, but I'm down to 6/11 hp.

I heard recently that Aasimar and Tiefling races are going away and fresh characters need to be reported by the middle of August or they can't use that race. Will we be able to report this adventure before mid-August? If not, could we post it a little early?


I will do my best to get this reported before mid-august for the race restrictions. I will post an update in a few minutes. You guys are 1/3 or so of the way there. Just a couple more things to do, then all set :)

Oh, I didn't notice if the minotaur was affected by the sleep. If he was, Noz had enough movement to be adjacent to the minotaur after his run.


Sleep is a full round cast, so it will take effect on Luciano's next turn.
