Pulse can take her held action now, then Blaze, Mud, and Vi can go

Note, the area shaded red is where the tesla arcs are, and this area is now dimly lit (it's lit only by the electrical arcs, as the arcs just blew out the lights!). So perception checks in the area are at a -4. Aegis, on the other hand, stands out clearly because her desolid form still has enough metal in the real world to make her an excellent conduit of electricity. Imagine her body outlined a bit like this. She's not affected by it (for now), but it's there.

Mud is behind a locked door. It will take him a half-phase action to squeeze through the very small cracks around the door, or he will have to wait until Pulse opens the door for him. Also, he won't be able to leap in here, the roof is only 8 ft high, and he needs at least 1/4 of the height of his distance leaping, so no more than 4 inches per leap in here.

"Hmm…I wonder…"

The question was, was it a funky forcefield or something between them and the bad guys, or something else? He had one possible way to find out, and maybe bring it down. He aimed high—over the heads of the guard, and let out a focussed fire blast

Mud squeezes through the cracks in the door, and almost immediately begins taking shock damage from the electricity, even before he can finish getting through the door cracks. Mud is basically affected by elemental attacks, heat, cold, etc, that are area of effect while desolid, so lightning would fall in that category

Mud opens the door for Blaze, and Blaze, confused by the lightning strikes, fires at them in an attempt to disrupt them. The fire goes past them, over the guard's heads, and slams into the vault door above the head of the flaming guy who's got his arm stuck elbow deep in the door. The vault door is scorched, and glowing red where it hit The flame head laughs. "Hey kid, thanks for the assist."

You still need to roll damage, if you get more than EGO+30, I'll give her a +1 to the ego check for every 5 points you get over that

@Pulse, you're seeing some effect on the lightning pulses, but it's a lot of active points, so it'll take awhile to make an appreciable effect. Also, your suppress happens in a bit

Blaze: 1d6 ⇒ 6
Fire Guy: 1d6 ⇒ 2

Attack, Pulse: 3d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 2) = 10 Hit
Entangle: 3d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 1) = 5 1 body, 2 def

The man Pulse is trying to quip with shakes his head. "You need more practice, girl." He flings a hand out and a ball of lightning streaks out to hit Pulse, and Pulse's nerves begin to short out. Her body begins to jerk as if she were having an epileptic seizure. The ball of lightning breaks up into a half-dozen smaller bits and spreads out over her body, each arcing electricity along her body to another ball. "Here's a time out for you, girl, so you can think about mouthing off to your betters."

1 body, 2 def entangle, note, you only suppressed 4 active points, so you didn't get enough yet to have any effect on it. Pulse can try to break out with a strength check, or by attacking the entangle directly (she'll take damage from the attack as well). Or you can stand there entangled and very easy for Aegis to grab on her action.

I'll stick with the suppress. She can see that her suppress is having -an- effect, even if it's only a minor one. She doesn't really know how whammied Aegis is, but she knows that Violet was able to shake a cop out, somewhat. She also doesn't know how strong this netting is, and isn't particularly built for damaging things like it. Thrashing herself against a wall just doesn't seem very useful, just now. If I still don't notice an appreciable effect, I'll mash the elevator up button with my nose if Aegis is coming this way still. Also, can mind control really just be repeatedly used against the same character until they eventually fail it? Ew.

That's not how it works Aegis, it's 6 from your ego check. So, ego check is 12, so the dice roll would be 12-6-3d6, not 3d6-6. In other words, you needed a 6 or less, which (in a special dice bot miracle) you actually got with a 5

I assume Aegis is going solid at the end of her leap? Otherwise she goes through any targets. There's no need to target the hex, you're leaping to a visible spot, so we'll use the first attack roll for the to-hit on the target. This means you hit a 3 DCV., and transfer the other 3 dice to the location, although the 3DCV misses the mentalist

Aegis leaps forward, her body going up and through the stone and she comes down, resolidifying as she drops through the roof and her fist goes over the head of the mentalist, the densed up woman slamming into the ground behind her, shattering marble tiles and cracking the concrete underneath it.

"Well now, that is annoying." The black woman says. "Priority target dears, put this golden b***h down for Circe."

The flaming man sighs. "Right." His points his free hand toward Aegis, and lava flows from his fingers and forms into a feline

Attack, Aegis: 3d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 3) = 12 Hit
Location: 3d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 1) = 6 Arm
Damage: 2d6 - 1 ⇒ (4, 5) - 1 = 8 8 body, 16 stun

Cat's claws are armor piercing, so Aegis only get's half her resistant defense, or 9 ED. Aegis takes 7 stun

The cat leaps out and it's claws and teeth lock onto Aegis's right arm. Where the claws and teeth hit, the metal armor glows bright red, nearly melted. Then the cat lands on the ground, it's feet leaving burning footprints in the marble as it continues to snarl and stare at Aegis, obviously gearing up for another attack.

With the mind controller and her both disabled this was her best chance to power up.

::Turning solid, if I can get a good hit I can take her out and the rest will be easy. If she gets control of me be ready to back up.::

Aegis's semisolid form becomes more and more firm until the floor under her crackles under her weight and she waits for her chance to strike.

Phase 7
Phase 8

Damage, Blaze: 1d6 ⇒ 5
Damage, Mud: 1d6 ⇒ 4
Damage, Vi: 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (5) - 1 = 4

Multiplier, Blaze: 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (4) - 1 = 3 20 stun, 5 body, vs ED
Multiplier, Mud: 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1 8 stun, 4 body, vs ED
Multiplier, Vi: 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (4) - 1 = 3 16 stun, 4 body, vs ED

The man with the electrical aura tilts his head down, despite being coated in mud. "Really? You're throwing your poop at me, boy?" He shakes his head. "You may think your brain structure is unusual, boy, but it still uses electrical impulses, just like everyone elses." He then takes a step back, and an arc of energy arcs out toward Mud!

Attack: 3d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 5) = 13

The arc of electricity slams into the wall behind Mud, and chunks of concrete are blasted free and scorch marks left on the wall.

Phase 9

The black woman looks around, and sees that Aegis is right next to her. "Honeychild, why don't you hit that vault door just as hard as you can and I'll let one of the guards go?" She points at the door of the vault.

Attack: 3d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 2) = 10 Hit
Damage: 12d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 3, 1, 5, 1, 5, 5, 6, 6, 5, 3) = 49

EGO + 35, Aegis is not violently opposed to hitting a door, even a vault door. From the way Zoey's played her, she's not in this for justice, so she's not really caring about the bad guys losing, she just doesn't like to lose. I'll call that a requirement for EGO+15 (splitting the difference between 20 and 10) That gives the mentalist a +20 effect, so Ego Check at -4 to avoid punching the door as hard as she can.

Phase 9, Vi up if she's doing mental

37/37 Stun | 46/46 End | 8/23 Body | Unfired Brick

How long did Mud's flash affect the mentalist? He rolled 3 body.

3 segments, as far as you know

It's like dueling banjos in here, only for Mentalists.

Violet takes nothing from the static wall.

Mindlink To Aegis: ::Hey, how about instead of hitting that door, you hit HER? She's been telling you what to do since we got here, and since when do you like anyone playing around in your head? If you punch that door, you'll just be doing what she WANTS.::

Violet is attempting to play on Aegis' already illustrated resistance to being (a) told what to do, (b) interfered with by Mentalists, and (c) made into the bad guy. Previously stated by GM that I don't need to roll to hit her, so I'm assuming I don't need to, now, unless you'd like me to.

10d6 Mind Control: 10d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 4, 6, 5, 4, 5, 6, 2, 3) = 41

END Tracker (Personal): 50 - 4 (Force Field) + 12 (Seg 12 Recovery) = 50 - 4 (Force Field) = 46 - 4 (Force Field) = 42 - (Force Field) = 38

END Tracker (Reserve): 60 - 5 (Mind Control on Guard 4) = 55 + 6 (Seg 12 Recovery) = 60 - 5 (Mind Control on Aegis) = 55 - 5 (Mind Control on Guard 3) = 50 - 5 (Mind Control on Aegis) = 45

Vi gives Aegis another check on her next action after her first mind controlled one (if Aegis fails her free check).

Male Energy Projector (fire)

"Ow!"

Barry wanted to switch targets, but his shielding was holding…for now. He hoped he could at least avoid hitting Aegis (and possibly the vault door).

Attack roll: 18 - 3d6 ⇒ 18 - (5, 2, 5) = 6 um…dunno?

I think I'm up next, and his action's results don't really affect mine, sooo... Phase 9, Dex 18!

Pulse used Struggle!: 3d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 1) = 10 It was super effective!

Satisfied with the current amount of drain she's putting on the other sparky - Pulse takes a moment to strain against the bonds he'd put on her, and with a little luck, manages to burst free of the electrified net!

::Not sure exactly how long I can keep this up. But it looks like I've drained most of the power out of that Tesla thingy.::

-1 End for 3d6 str, -10 End Suppress, -2 for maintaining forcefield. My math was wrong on the sheet and I was showing more end than is correct (7 turn one, 12 turn 2, 13 this turn = 48/80 End)

37/37 Stun | 46/46 End | 8/23 Body | Unfired Brick

Phase 9

Mud shrugs off the lightning, because it tickled. "You're funny, sparky. Try another shot!"

He winds up and throws another batch at the Mentalist.

to hit her hex: 3d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 5) = 8
Effect: 2d6 ⇒ (2, 4) = 6

Question 1: This damage is applied to regular ED, right?
Question 2: If this Flash affects the Mentalist for 2 segments, and she next acts in 12. Is this Flash attack pointless?
