The Sinclair family is the world leader in weapon design, creation, and distribution; everything from handguns to multimillon dollar missiles dawns the Sinclair Cross-hair.

Saffron Sinclair grew up surrounded by wealth and weapons, a life she thoroughly enjoyed. Her father place importance on her being able to take care of herself so she was forbidden to do things like hire maids, however no expense was spared when it came to her being educated at top schools in the country.

During her early years she fully reaped the benefits of her families wealth from traveling the world to designer clothing, she wore the name Sinclair with pride even among those that would call her a warmonger for merely being part of the family.

She'd always taken an interest in her father's work, but the closest she was allowed to a weapon until she graduated was blue prints. Once she had he allowed her a closer look into the family business, specifically a project titled "Rods from Gods". This project was an attempt to weaponize high density metals into a kinetic bombardment and she was to begin working on it and, if she proved herself, would become one of the lead designers on the project within a few years. During her work on the project she attempted to design a material that would work as ammunition, something dense enough to survive reentering the atmosphere while being light enough to even reasonable get into orbit, she planned to create a substance that would react to oxygen, making it light when around it and harden when it was removed; given the short amount of time it would spend being oxidized upon reentry the idea seemed perfect.

But as with anything that seemed too good to be true it was. Saffron
prepared her first test, she placed the material in a chamber and began to drain the oxygen but instead of condensing it started expanding. She rushed to try and stop the test, but nothing she did could halt it, she heard an explosion then blacked out.

She awoke in the hospital, with a scar covering the majority of her shoulder. They told her that the experiment had been a failure and she was lucky to be alive. When she finally returned to the Sinclair Labs, she was refused access - her father had banned her from the labs, as well as further experiments. Despite her protests and pleading, he refused to change his mind. Eventually, frustrated by her father's stubbornness, she stormed out, lashing out at the nearby sign as she left.. but rather than the flare of pain she had expected, her arm passed straight through. Slowly, confusion gave way to a smile; she had found her new experiment.
