About Project Violet
Violet is the surviving member of the Project Ultra/Violet program, an offshoot of the Aphros Project undertaken by a shadowy group of government scientists focusing on a post-cold war Human Genome/Superman program. Her powers are a result of a not-as-yet understood combination of genetic markers, recombinant DNA treatments, and activated "junk" DNA . Violet's "Father," Dr. Jack Markey, was murdered along with his wife in an automobile collision put in motion by an organization working counter to the goals of the Aprhos/UltraViolet programs. After spending several years as a "guest" of a CIA Black Site, where Violet was used as a counter-terrorism operative (often against her will and under the influence of several anti-psychotic drugs), she has been reunited with her "Uncle Bill," Dr. William Crane, the former project Coordinator of Project Ultra/Violet. Together, they look forward to discovering the true fate of Violet's brother, Ulysses (Ultra), and the identity of her father's murderers.
Violet is quiet and reserved, for the most part. Years spent sedated and without much control over her own actions has left her uncertain how to behave around most people. Violet enjoys being around people, even if she doesn't often know how to engage in social graces. Her interpersonal development was stunted from the age of 10 to the age of 15, after being isolated from any other children, either within or without of Project Ultra/Violet. Having spent nearly a decade locked away and out of the "real world," Violet's overall understanding of the world is understandably stunted. Violet has very little in the way of "filter," and often speaks frankly about her life under the umbrella of the control drugs. Because of this, Violet can at times be, unintentionally, the "creepy girl" of any conversation.
Violet prefers to put people to sleep if at all possible. She tries very hard not to hurt people - she wants to hurt and punish the people who took her brother and killed her father, but she will go out of her way not to physically harm someone if she has a choice.
