Evokers revel in the raw power of magic, and can use it to create and destroy with shocking ease.
Intense Spells (Su): Whenever you cast an evocation spell that deals hit point damage, add 1/2 your wizard level to the damage (minimum +1). This bonus only applies once to a spell, not once per missile or ray, and cannot be split between multiple missiles or rays. This bonus damage is not increased by Empower Spell or similar effects. This damage is of the same type as the spell. At 20th level, whenever you cast an evocation spell you can roll twice to penetrate a creature's spell resistance and take the better result.
Force Missile (Sp): As a standard action you can unleash a force missile that automatically strikes a foe, as magic missile. The force missile deals 1d4 points of damage plus the damage from your intense spells evocation power. This is a force effect. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Intelligence modifier.
Elemental Wall (Sp): At 8th level, you can create a wall of energy that lasts for a number of rounds per day equal to your wizard level. These rounds do not need to be consecutive. This wall deals acid, cold, electricity, or fire damage, determined when you create it. The elemental wall otherwise functions like wall of fire.

Denied, she fell from her faith.
Increasingly desperate for money, Alice did more and more bad things, just to keep her brother semi-healthy.
Eventually she ended up in Longacre, where she entered into a pact with a patron just too get enough money to keep her brother from dying.
This was a slippery slope downward, where her patron had het systematically do worse and worse things, tempting her towards evil.
The betrayel by the Iomedean church helped Alice find justification in her descend into evil. The good had abandoned her, and Asmodeus was at least keeping her brother alive...

Pure mechanics wise, its not that stellar. You trade in a school for an improved familiar. Not the best of trade offs.
But the flavor is wonderfull, it gives the GM all kinds of inroads into corrupting the character.
The pact is otherwise also not clearly defined, opening up potential play with corruptions (when they come out), or later introducing drawbacks in a trade for power.

Castiel Vasago |

here's offering number 1: Castiel Vasago. A Dorian Gray-esque aasimar bard noble scion of an extinct House. He amuses himself through extortion, frame-jobs, robbery, and murder (and then framing others and then blackmailing them). The fact that it also pays the bills is... a bonus.
now, to work on the other offering(s)

Chakat Hellstrider
Born in one of the more recluse parts of Cheliax. She grew up a bit separate from the mechanics of what the country was about. Till they came. Hellknights. Black clad. Mounted terrors. Her small community shuddered in fear of these knights. Astride their more so terrifying mounts. But not her. No. She somehow marveled at them. They seemed to radiate authority. Regal beyond her field of knowledge. That when she decided to be one of them. Join them. Gain the same admiration she was feeling at that point.
So she trained. Almost every minute she had free time from her daily chores. Using sticks. Branches. Lids. Anything to further her skill with a lance. She trained. Obstacles. Anything.
When she finally came of age, she set out to join a garrison. The Eddean Star. Yes.
Cavalier. She was going to be one of them. Her natural talents soon had her the position she craved. She joined them. For Cheliax!

Yes Psionic Characters are welcome.
A brief Background 2 paragraphs max is fine.

You may take a single Drawback to gain another Trait.

Hey Storyteller (or JD Phipps if you're watching the thread too), quick question for you on the current party make-up. What is JD's alchemist build like? I don't want to step on any toes/invalidate my submission by not contributing anything to the group. My alchemist is gonna be primarily glass cannon (pretty much literally, thanks to the Explosive Missile discovery, haha). It'll be bows and bombs for the most part, using my extracts for self-buff or combat control, then using the Bottled Ally ability to provide more melee support.
I'd also love any feedback you have on my background, especially considering the fact that I'm going CE in a LE campaign and would love to know if that would mesh well with the group.

If I can get my hands on a Conductive weapon, I can also burn through Touch of Corruption of be a solid debuffer while I hit people with my scythe.

Jing was a bit of a crazy person to say the least. There was just something off about him in the head, while being an intelligent person he still seemed to lack compassion and the normal more human like characteristics that true catfolk embrace. He is somewhat easily distracted by things most cats are and is stuck with a penchant for revenge. He adopted several "lives" over time to hide his presence when he was chasing after his prey but eventually he left with what knowledge he gleaned from his time spent in this jobs, be they an apprentice clergyman and other such lives.
Having exacted what vengeance he deemed necessary he soon realized that if he was to enjoy the rest of his life the way he wished, he would have to put the talents he had accumulated to use. So, he went in search of others like him. People who were capable of doing what needed to be done to finish the mission and make a profit and so he was drawn to House Thrune when the command came. If it was one thing that Cheliax needed, it was someone who knew how to get the job done, no matter the cost or required act.
--------------------
Afternote
--------------------
As stated before this is a build towards the prestige the Pain Taster. in order to get where I need to and be effective from the beginning I had to choose Fighter for first level, so please do not judge solely on what he starts as as the next three levels will be rogue, then another level fighter, and the rest in Pain Taster. This character will be a combat support role for the most part, provided the group with opportunity attacks as well as disarming the enemies and providing a host of skills from social aspects to providing alternate answers to life's obstacles.
Also, this character will be taking advantage for the Sharper archetype for the Rogue Unchained class from Ultimate Intrigue.

Background
--------------------
Gauril was born in Tien much like the rest of his tribe. It was an unfortunate venture out when he came of age to begin to hunt alone that he was caught by the Cheliaxian Slaver. He was brought to Cheliax for the purpose of being a gladiator, fighting for his life to earn his freedom. What they didn't expect was for him to survive. He survived over and over because of his ruthlessness and his creativity in the field of battle. But they had brought out the savage inside him.
He ate what he killed, everything he killed. He grew strength from those that he concurred, it changed him and made him stronger. He began to see everyone as they were...meat. He struck out in the forests surrounding the great nations of Cheliax and remained an ever present threat to those who would hunt the woods for he felt it was his domain. It wasn't until one person came across him bearing a letter for those seeking power. The Primitive of course could not speak but in the rambling the man offered as he tried to save his own life, he learned of the purpose of the note and he grinned. He stared at the note unable to comprehend what those little markings meant, but if what the fool had said was true, he relished the chance to have the ability to roam through Cheliax and exact a bit of revenge upon it's people. He laughed before popping another finger in his mouth and began to crunch on the bones.
--------------------
Afternote
--------------------
This is an odd one I will admit, Cannibalism is a fun theme that is so hard to find place. I chose the Feed Slave (Andoran) trait but I meant to use it as a way to incorporate the backstory of how a savage of Tien might be in Cheliax. With the use of slaves in a coliseum, there was such a chance.
Then of course Poverty-Stricken is a rather obvious choice for someone who was a slave and Amoral Mercenary is roughly the same. The concept of this character is mostly going to be improvised weapons, unarmed combat, brutal savagery to decimate his enemies. He would have worked together with others before as a team sometimes in the pits so the concept would not be alien to him. However, he could be prone to violence if someone in the group were to accidentally harm him or purposely harm him and may have to be put down...much like any attack dog ^^.

Growing up in the Blood Pits wasn't exactly a noble thing, or something anyone would want. However it did make Kristoff learn to fight faster, than most around him, what it also did was free him from slavery. He had some renown as a Gladiator which is why he was freed, fighting against creature that normally he should not have been able to defeat. Once he was freed he was no longer called slave, no longer beaten, and so he had to choose a way of life. Thats when he saw the march of the Hell Knights, he would be one of them, he would become great, and he wouldn't stop until he was a leader of thier kind, so he swore to Asmodius.

Okay, a freed gladiator slave who feels the desire for power is cool. Wanting to join the Hellknights is a reasonable way to go about that. But I have to ask...
Where does being an Empiricist Investigator come from?
Inspiration, was what allowed him to fight and win when he wasn't supposed to adding a d6 to a roll can change a fight drasticly at low levels The alchemy is a background skill, and for the most part isn't going to be applicable since creating anything alchemical takes way too long. Hmm..depends, if there is more enemies about he wouldn't stop to eat. If it was because someone on his "team" stopped him, he would become confused by it. He would at least save a chunk of the meat for later, I wouldn't call it religious but he believes he won't grow stronger if he doesn't eat.
Also...I'm unsure what you were asking...as it has nothing to do with either of my characters?

RECRUITMENT IS OFFICIALLY REOPENED for Star Wars - Saga Edition - The Tion Cluster Gambit
I would prefer to have a Player, at least for now, step into the role of a current Jedi Gunnar Vryce then when the current arc of the story ends create their own character.
However, I understand that most Players prefer their own build.
Legacy Era Star Wars Saga Edition campaign set a few years before the events of the Dark Horse Comic Book Series Star Wars: Legacy.
The character I am looking for will be an 8th level Jedi or an ally of the Jedi Order.
As we are in the Legacy Era, all books are legal. Though I would appreciate it if you would reference what book (outside of the Core book) you take a Prestige Class, Feat, Talent Tree, or Power from.
25 Point Buy.
Max HP at first level, roll for every level thereafter. If you roll a 1 on your HP, I will give a free re-roll.
Thank you for your interest!

I will delve into submissions on 4th of July weekend :-)
FYI, I will probably be making the selections (with the input of the 3 who already have slots) between the 5th and the 7th and hope to have the Gameplay Thread moving forward (it is already created) no later than July 10th (that is a Sunday).

Ahem. I'm gonna hazard a guess and assume the girl in question used a synonym that's a tad less polite.

Hmm fair point, I've been working for about 12 hours straight so getting a bit tired over here. Still, I have heard people use words out of context that way quite often, and it amuses me every time.
