Silver Crusade

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I keep seeing these threads for people, so I figured I'd give some space to ask me anything you wanna know about me, probably just stuff related to guide writing and such though since that's kind of my thing. But if ya wanna ask whatever, go for it, I'm game for MOST questions, since I don't have all the answers.

I *LOVED* all your guides, my only question right now is this:

I feel you should include a section for advanced firearms. With Iron Gods, these weapons should be easily available.

Techslingers and their advanced, 'futuristic' firearms catched my interest too, do you think we'll see a new section on those in your Gunslinger guide?

Are you my Mother?

What's your favorite kineticist element? Or if you can't pick, what element is your favorite kineticist?

If you could have any rule clarified, answered and added to the FAQ or future revision what would it be ?

1. What is your favorite nation of the Porphyra campaign setting?
2. What is your favorite PoW Maneuver?
3. What is the best maneuver for a moose to focus on?

Have you seen my head?

This is something I REALLY want to include, but it's going to take a lot of work, so it's going to be a slow process, especially since I've been on the bolt ace hype train. It seems people want it though, so adding it seems like it's going to happen sooner or later. I might include doing it as part of another project.

If you were truly my child, you would know.

Also yes.

It goes against everything I am to answer mimes, so in response to your question, no.

I can answer this, and even give you the order in which I like the original five:

1. Earth: Out of all the elements, it feels the most 'me' as well as having enough tools to stay pure that it can really work.

2. Fire: Again another good pure element, its focus feels clear and it does what it needs to, although fire resistance sucks!

3. Air: Further from a pure element, it at least gets late game things to help with the process of being awesome.

4. Aether: Feels more like a dip element, but its utility abilities are enough to keep it valid.

5. Water: I just don't find a lot to like here. It has solid defense, but feels too boring, even with blood bending.

Martial/caster disparity.

Just kidding, really I'd like them to look at their need to make abilities that work with potions and not with extracts, since while I understand the reason for the difference with power, there's nothing that should be separate mechanically due to the two working identically.

1. The middle kingdoms have really grabbed me, and I like using them as a hub for my work.

2. I can't even believe this, as I'm a huge ToB fan (as anyone who's seen me post knows), but I've never once checked out PoW. I think it's because I've always wanted to focus on similar work (check out my Chi Warrior), and the idea of reading their stuff just always took me as 'cheating', and I didn't want to accidentally end up stealing their work. It's a hard line to walk, to be certain.

3. The only maneuver a moose needs to focus on...is being a friend.

Yeah, Flanders took it. Go kill Flanders.

Can I eat your brains to acquire your super powers?

Hey Jolly, do you review builds? I made a Gulch Gunner and Bolt Ace, and wanna know your thoughts on them.

Also, at the end of (at least) your gunslinger guide, you say you take donations for requests to more guides. What did you mean by that, exactly?

That's oddly enough the only way you CAN'T get my powers. Ways you can get it include:

1. Tricking me
2. Asking politely
3. Tricking me politely
4. Finding the lost stone of Kromdar.

If you post it in the thread, I can give it a look, see if I can help it at all. So not really a review, more of just a tune up.

As for that, I do take donations to write guides, as the work on the Synth Summoner guide was done solely for donations. If you want to discuss it with me, you can PM me or email me at n.jolly@ymail.com. Personally I'd say I specialize in either martial classes or 6th arcane casters myself, most other things are a bit out of my wheelhouse, although I could see about taking a crack at other things.
