*A small notice has been tacked up outside the bank in towns all across the north east. It reads...*
ATTENTION: Yew, Bloodflower Gum (Adhesive/Sanguine) and Greenweed (Green/Yellow) are available in moderate quantities in the AH in Rathglen. The Greenweed, in particular, is heartily expensive, but will be dropping in price to 30c at the end of its sale period. If you would like more of these goods, please make a note of it at the bottom of this notice and I will see what I can do.
Best,
Gale Windswept, Wilderness Wanderers

Well, this way it keeps the thread bumped and visible. However, if you wanted to update this thread yourself with new additions from time to time, then yes, the chatter will bury that.
I think we could use a Trade forum, where people could make dedicated threads for this, that will not get hyacked.
One of my wishes is that the Alpha forums will get transformed into actual useful forums with a logical forumtree; not the convoluted mess of subforums it is now. It does not seem like a huge task but I guess no priority.
We can hope.

Threadjack over, carry on.

Is that list current? We need a bunch of those recipes. But it looks like a leftover list from November...

I'll start posting there tonight, if people start using it I can imagine it becoming a huge asset giving the difficulties of finding/contacting people. I would recommend making a new post about it to get the word out.
(Also sorry about thread jacking)

Glad to do business with you yesterday, Gale. Sorry to give you a hard time about your offer of 1 copper for 4 Tanzy leaves. :) I just do not think that people will *ever* bother to haul with them goods that have *such* low value, simply because of Encumbrance.
So if Tanzy leaves indeed become worthless, then people will simply destroy them on the spot rather then put them up on the AH for 1 copper. The fact that you currently have sellers for that price is just a fluke, imo.
The 1-copper items on the AH are already History(sorry Ravenlute). I am sure the only 1 copper items I see now are put there by either clueless red-shirts, or people doing a good deed because they have no need for it. I am sure we will see less of both in the future once the Economy starts running and coin becomes more important. Even in the future, when Tier 2 and 3 items are creating the Economy, Tier 1 items will go for more then a copper. Much more money will be flowing, tier 1 items will still be needed, and rich people will buy them from the lower level folk for prices we can not even fathom now. There are many MMO's in their adulthood, where the best way for a newbie to earn some serious coin is to harvest the low level stuff.
And we already see price-gaugers and market-controllers: the prices in both the Ratghlen as well as the Marchmont AH are pretty much set by the supplier that has put large quantities of resources on them, starting all at 1 silver a piece, and counting down. You see all these resources counting down at the exact same pace, indicating these are from a single supplier.
So this sets the price, though it also makes it easy for the individual seller to dive nicely under that (way too high) starting price.
But it sure as hell did kill the "1-copper item" Market! :) No one in his right mind would only ask 1 copper, if the next best offer was 88 copper.
Fun stuff.
Btw, I was Regalo Harnoncourt that bought 55 Yew from you. :)

Lots of interesting things there, Tynnacle, but all I will say for now is this. I am buying all Tansy Leaves for 0.25 copper apiece and all other non-adhesive and non-ink apothecary mats for 0.5 copper apiece. Message me to arrange a trade.
As to the yew, I thought that was quite humorous that Saorise thought she had out done me by selling you 12 yew at 5c apiece instead of my 55 yew at 9c apiece. 12 @ 5 you won't pass up; but 55 is what you needed.
The folks selling things for exorbitant prices are not selling anything. I price reasonably high then let the market decide at which point it would like to buy- whether it is high, low or in the middle. As a result I have been very successful on the Auction Houses so far. I welcome the price gougers. They make me richer :)
Lastly, I am moving all operations to Blackfeather Keep. However, I am finding that one man trying to stock an Auction House with a meaningful amount of raw materials is ludicrous at best. Any merchants looking for an extra market to sell your wares and, in particular, your raw materials, is encouraged to visit the Keep. Any companies interested in establishing operations there, please PM me. I am happy to help you find the goods in the area so long as you are happy to sell them on the Auction House in Blackfeather Keep!

People actually use Tansy leaves?
They clutter up my inventory more than the Lesser Tokens of Flatulence do. What are they for ?
Tell me which properties they have (Weak X or Weak Y), and I'll tell you what I could make from them.
Where I live in the far NW, tansy leaves are rare, and belladonna berries are everywhere. Travel far enough, and I think most components will find buyers.

I will buy *any* resource that I find for 1 copper in the AH, without even checking what it is used for. So Edam, I would have been all over that deal too. Imo you got lucky on that one. Very rarely do I find such a steal too, but not for those amounts.
I agree that Esoteric is quit ubiquitous, but it weighs little and 44 recipes use some of it. When the market saturates with it, people will not bother to bring it home anymore, it still weighs something.
I am not sure what the "SLU" of Pathfinder Online will become, but it sure will be more then a silver. ;)
SLU means "Standard Labor-value Unit, the monetary unit of the Gaian Reach, defined as the value of an hour of unskilled labor under standard conditions". Phrased by Jack Vance, one of my favorite SF writers. :)
When I harvest for an hour, I bring home maybe 150 resources. Selling them for 1 copper each would mean an SLU is 1.5 silver. No way!
I guess this will become more with gushers and better harvesting skills but once money starts flowing and people get richer, the chore of harvesting low level resources will fall upon those that want to make some quick coin. Rich people will pay a premium for them as long as they do not have to go out and do the "handwave thing" themselves. I would.

Yay!
For that same reason there will always be a need for newbies and I never think they will have to beg for equipment. Simple gathering (even in face of Mining camps etc etc) will bring in some coins, enough to buy the low level stuff needed for begin the climb to herohood.
Then there perhaps will be faster and more efficient ways of doing it, but there will always be a fast track for some.
And efficient is boooooring!

Why not? 1.5 silver is a meaningless amount, apart from the fact that it can buy 1 hours worth of resources. If next month you got 15 silver for the resources you gathered in an hour it would have exactly the same value as the 1.5 silver you got this month - 1 hours worth of resources.
What matters is what you can buy other than resources with your money. The value added items made by refiners and crafters. +1 armour is currently being sold for 5 silver by a traveller in Rathglen. So, is +1 armour worth just over 3 hours of gathering? If you look at it that way, it looks like a good deal. But...
A quick calculation (I don't have access to the game or recipes right now) says I can make +1 leather armour (Brigantine) with ~26 resources (it actually takes ~50 resources to make the refined goods, but I would have some left over after making just 1 set of armour). Is 5 silver a fair price for ~26 resources and a couple of hours of crafting time (crafting time when in fact my other char is out gathering).

Prices DO have a limit, though, because the only way for coin to enter the system is through killing mobs. If people are charging more than people can make killing mobs while wearing the equipment, there will be a problem.
That's where we get to see the invisible hand come into play :) Or the devs increase the drop rate of coin appropriately.

OK, I did not see the list when posted. In retrospect. these are no what my sage needs. THe AH is not very useful for the reason other have expressed. These will be resolved by OE, but planning for "drops" based upon OE AH is fantasy.
Within our small community, we are basically giving away gathering or refined good, in exchange for good will to get needed product. requests serve as an element of market, but there is no real market. I 'gifted' a community member over 100 units. another member gifted me with 20 units of a very rare item.
This is working. but not efficient.
My alts have 160 units of coal, trying to decide to take to one of three sites in SE. What do they have for me (I do not need iron or …, I need recipes)
