Making The Tribe of Crazy Goblins

Advice

Dark Archive

My Pc's want to invade a tribe of goblins who are supposed to be challenging and interesting, but I gave up after the first six. Could I please get some help via crowds courting here?
Thanks-

Sovereign Court

Just pick up monster codex for various kind of goblins. Goblins of Golarion could also be nice.

Usually for tribe of goblins, you want to focus on something that they do. The Gutslashers, enjoy eviscerating people for example and that's pretty much it.

Sure, I'll help!

"Twitchy Boom Boom talks in rhyme
She throws bombs all the time.

Twitchy's fast and Twitchy's smart
(Can cook up long shanks in a tart.)

She flies up high and overhead
Makes plans to kill things dead!

Yes, she gets a little wordy,
Riding on her vulture birdie.

Actually, you could probably look at the characters in our play by post of We Be Goblins. We have a druid on a giant slug, an elemental sorcerer, a feral gnasher barbarian and a pirate bard.

This is Hmm, posting under her alias of Twitchy Boom Boom, Winged Marauder Goblin Alchemist Level 1. As an NPC, she wouldn't have to worry about the handle animal checks and you could give her the trait "Rude Songs" instead. Though "Bouncy" is great as a winged marauder because she then survives the falls she makes off her bird...

a tribe of goblin alchemists worshipping an alcoelemental :D with teamwork feats! 20 bombs flying around every round should make for at least a bit of interesting mayhem

should go easier on a festive day when their "deity" makes them stinking drunk

Grand Lodge

Back to posting as me.

The GM in our Play-by-Post ruled that Twitchy's mount could fly with medium encumbrance, so she has a saddle. If you rule that mounts can only fly light, drop the saddle and some of the bullets and Twitchy can still get up in the air to harass your PCs.

Have fun with her! I'm sure she'll be an entertaining addition to your goblin village!

Hmm

how many players are in your party , what is the current level and experience level of the players?

Oh, come on! Goblins are made of gold! They are absolutely fearless shameless cowards, terrifyingly brilliant total morons. Swarming their enemies like locusts, fleeing at the first time of trouble, but for gods' sake, don't chase after them: it's a trap.

Everything is a trap. Once you lure the party into just where you want them, a dozen goblins leap out of nowhere, soaked from head to toe in lamp oil, trying to grapple with the party. Fireworks launch out of every nook and hole washing them in multicolored flames, the goblins living fireballs, unwilling to let go.

Goblin cavalry rising out of the sewers mounted on their crocodiles. Or maybe light cavalry mounted on giant pigeons, pooping on the party.

Regarding goblin festivals, yes, they're great! For some ideas about what might go on at a goblin festival, checkout the adventure, "We be Goblins." I believe that it is a free RPG.

"Twitchy likes bombs and beer and fun --
Drunken mayhem for everyone!"

I didn't realize there there were two threads of this. I posted in the other one here about the crazy characters from our We Be Goblins play-by-post campaign. Twitchy is of course one of them.

I've flagged both for merging, but this should make it easier for you to find my response.

@ Arcasus
There are six players, all level five, with moderate system experience.

1. Check out this old thread with more pregens for We Be Goblins I and II.
2. Advance them as necessary
3. ???
4. Profit.

You people are brilliant! I love the goblin pregens, and I think I will use Twitchy as the chief of the tribe. Everything is a trap sounds like Tucker's Kobolds, which my players hate, so I might not use that, but it sounds good overall.

Goblin chief? I always knew that Twitchy was destined for greatness!

Sorry for the late reply . I'm going to give you a pretty main stream encounter here nothing special. Make the overall encounter have a theme. Just make your goblins basic worshipers of lamashtu. Make a clearic on level around level 5 and choose the demon domain and ferocity . Choose a rogue and a spell caster for support and make a mutant goblin that has class levels in barbarian . My final touch would be to make a goblin/ half fiend that was sent to the tribe by lamashtu to usher in dark times . Going with the theme the goblins are called gut-slashers is bc they sacrifice subjects and prisoners by slashing there stomachs and gaining visions from reading the entrails of victims . Have the party come in at night and see a ritual going on or something like that. Be descriptive but not too much so each player can have their own unique mental description of what's going on. You could even have a pc been taken prisoner by the mob and is the next on the chopping block.
