Gunslinger seems an obvious choice but are there any other classes that fit well with the Android? I'd prefer to make a combat character, something that can fit the main fighter role and while I'm open to guns being included, I'd prefer them to be a secondary option to the class. The character was raised by the Kellids of Numeria, so Barbarian would be a good fit but I'm.unsure if they are a good match for an Android character. Any advice or ideas are very much appreciated.

If you have People of the River, there are some good options there. There is a Ranger Archetype that is based on defeating constructs that could work well. There is also a Nanite Sorcerer Bloodline that is great for martials with Eldritch Heritage, although its hard to qualify for the CHA requirements with an android.
Alchemist is thematic and can fit into melee quite well.
They also make great finesse characters. Lore warden fighter, Swashbuckler, Slayer, and so on.

Well, there are supposed to be some android racial archetypes in the upcoming People of the Stars, as well as some tech-related archetypes coming out in the upcoming Technology Guide, so that might be worth considering.
Similarly, if you want to wait for Advanced Class Guide to come out, the Slayer might well be a good possibility, and there might even be some archetypes for existing classes that would work well...hard to say until the book comes out. Not much longer...
For existing classes, ranger would probably be a solid selection, in particular, the galvanic saboteur from People of the River seems like it would be thematic. A fighter could work, and the lore warden in particular seems to have something of an analytical bent that could serve well for an android, possibly in conjunction with the kirin style line. Magus is certainly a decent fit, utilize shocking grasp to represent electrical power. Could also potentially shoot for an eldritch knight, via either wizard, sage bloodline sorcerer, sage/nanite crossblooded sorcerer...could be fun if you can pull it off. A martial artist monk could be interesting too, though hardly optimal...detecting the weak point and all that.

Eldritch Knight as a Magus/Nanite Sorceror maybe?
Would using both Magus and Sorc be crippling the two classes and I'd be better off as a.Fighter/Sorc or is it still a viable build? I'm thinking Dervish Magus, using the Shocking Grasp themed as an electrical surge as mentioned before. Armored but not too heavily so, most likely fighting with a scimitar.

Alchemist feels awesomes to me. Always has, so many weird fun things steming from teh class that you can flavor in reallly cool ways.
Bombs being fired like Dexter's lab's kickball fight. or throw in a pistol once in a while with the explosive missle property and you get a missle cannon. and you can do that without much resources. and the rest can go into the melee stuff.

The mental image of the dude who's a little bit gunny and a little bit slashy is (for me) the stock picture they use for inquisitor.
Not sure the best way to DO that of course...
Not really. You need a free hand to reload, which messes up your full-attack options.
Are there any enchantments or spells that will automagically reload a gun or a crossbow? Compared to other effects out there it doesn't seem like that big of a game-breaking deal, but I don't think I've ever seen 'em.

You could take the Vestigial Arm discovery once or twice and model it after this tech priest.

If you can utilize any third party stuff, android seems a really solid choice for the psionic Aegis, which is a martial class that keys off Int. You create power armor from your mind, and can eventually customize it to do things like fly and shoot laser blasts. You can also combine it with Soulknife (possibly with the soulbolt archetype, given the Dex boost) into the Metaforge PrC and basically become a sci-fi character. The DSP stuff in general is really awesome and pretty well balanced, I've always allowed it in my games.

Oddly, unlike with barbarian, androids can actually work rather well as bards (well, if you overlook their CHA penalty).
Apparently, inspire courage is a competence bonus rather than a morale bonus. I haven't looked at the other key performances too closely...but since that is a bard's bread and butter.....
