Tricky question: are prestige points considered to be earned on the day when you actually play the scenario, or on the day when the character gets to count the Fame & Prestige? I've got one character where I had a chronicle pending on August 16th 2012 which has since been applied to the character.

It doesn't make any material difference for that character - he's also earned more than 6 Prestige over the last year. But I'm sure there will be cases where it is significant.

I'd assume its when the chronicle is applied.

When the Chronicle is applied.

Silver Crusade 2/5

But the chronicles must be of season 4 scenarios or any played scenarios between de dates?

The Exchange 5/5

This is absolutely brilliant!

Is it acceptable for me, as a GM, to print out a big pile of these and hand them out to players at GenCon who may not get online frequently?

That was my idea though I am not GMing at Gen Con. I'll have my GM Go bag at Gen Con, so it is just another thing to add to it.

This is awesome. I completely missed this in the email from Paizo. Since I just started playing earlier this year, any character of mine that is level 2 or higher will qualify for this.

For the Silver Crusade boon, what do you do if the character is a paladin? Do you treat it as an extra smite that is just weaker than normal?

Any scenario from seasons 0-4. Only one Chronicle per character please.

Enjoy!

Definitely!

Silver Crusade 2/5

If you are a Silver Crusade Paladin you have one more Smite until you use at the same level, isn't?

Silver Crusade 4/5

Ironically, it's my level 14 character who doesn't qualify. Finished Eyes of the Ten before the start date, and only played him in one special since then. I think I have 9 or 10 other PCs who do qualify, though.

Shadow Lodge 4/5

Do characters on Slow Path still have to earn 6 Fame to get this?

My version of Acrobat alerts me that they are watermarked with my email address. That's something you might want to bear in mind before handing them out to 48 strangers.

Incidentally, for Taldor, I assume it's a +2 bonus?

5/5 *

Really, mine are not watermarked?

Silver Crusade 1/5 RPG Superstar 2014 Top 16

Mine were not watermarked either. They printed clean. I just printed 10 of them, for my friends who are coming.

Silver Crusade 2/5

We have to wait until the GenCon finish to an official answer for the Silver Crusade Bonus to all his Paladins.

I assumed so. Both my slow play characters are there because I like to play them and/or lack choices in their tier, so I've played 6+ scenarios in a year with them.

Yes, it's a +2 bonus. If you redownload the chronicle, you should get the updated version with the +2 added in.

I just started playing back in June and have definitely earned more than 6 prestige but I never got the email. Is there some other requirement?

EDIT: Nevermind I found it.

Thanks for this! Thanks for listening and providing another way (besides holiday boons) for those folks who can't make it to conventions to get a neat boon for their characters.

Incidentally how many characters did people have that qualify for this chronicle? I earned it on 8 different characters - 4 of them got exactly 6 fame over the last year.

I earned it for all 9 of mine; my wife qualified with 8 of her 9.

The Exchange 2/5

I earned it on 8 of my ten active characters. My 11th level didn't get it because she's slow track, so she earned 3 pa instead of 6. My 8th level monk lost one pa in a scenario, so only got 5 for the year and missed out.

Are the dates inclusive or exclusive? I have a new character that could get played tomorrow and qualify for 6 if thursday is a valid day.

Dark Archive 4/5

I think I earned the boon on around 12 of my 16 characters, maybe more

Grand Lodge 4/5

I think I got it for 7 of my 17 PCs...

Grand Lodge 4/5

I've qualified for 7 out of 8 active PCs (having character sheets and not dead).

Scarab Sages 4/5

I've qualified on 9 out of 11 characters, covering every faction except Silver Crusade and Qadira. My Silver Crusade character recently converted from Shadow Lodge (but did earn enough prestige in Shadow Lodge). My Qadiran character played three scenarios, but one of them was Master of the Fallen Fortress, so he only got 1 Prestige for it. Character number 11 was just started last weekend, so he only has one scenario.

Sovereign Court 5/5 5/5 ****

Hmmm... Well, thanks in large part to GM credit, I qualified for 9 out of the 10 factions... Interestingly, the only one I *didn't* qualify for was Grand Lodge, because the member of that faction that I have hit level 12 over a year ago ;-)

All 8 of my active characters made it - the only one who didn't died permanently in season 3. Even my 12+ made it.

(It looks like he might even get next year's too, seeing as we're apparently not finishing Tomb of the Iron Medusa until Season 5.)

If your PC was Shadow Lodge or Lantern Lodge for the year until the finale scenarios and then transferred to a new faction, do you select the boon for the old faction or the new one?

The text of the Chronicle wrote:
If the character earned 6 or more Prestige Points with more than one faction, the character receives the boon for the faction with the greatest number of earned Prestige Points, or the faction of the player’s choice in cases of ties; a character may receive only one boon.

If you earned all your prestige in Shadow Lodge, you would get the Shadow Lodge boon. If you earned 6PP in SL & 7PP in GL, you would get the Grand Lodge Boon. If you earned 6 & 6, it would be your choice.

So a character on 5 XP who has earned 5 PA in the window, and also had a pregen chronicle for 3-4/6-7 applied to it (held for it) does not get the Chronicle because the 2 PA is still held, or is 'held' a subset of 'applied' as it is already assigned to that character and can't be moved?

Shadow Lodge 5/5

9 of 11 for me ...

1 is in a state of Semi retired since this time last year (Undead lord ban) - I havent been able to test the concept I found for her yet (as well as some table variation on the build)

The Other is a Knifemaster Rogue who I just havent been interested in playing

Apply it. You have earned it by playing the character. :-)
