What are some creative character strategies for maximizing damage?

Sovereign Court

My Girl Friend is looking for a most creative way to generate a character that deals incredible damage at first level. I know it wont be that incredible, but does anyone out there have a cool character combo that does some decent damage?

A dual wielder of kukris with Butterfly sting + a partner witha schyte or a naginata.

Butterfly’s Sting (Critical)
You can forgo a critical hit in order to pass it on to an ally.

Prerequisite: Combat Expertise.

Benefit: When you confirm a critical hit against a creature, you can choose to forgo the effect of the critical hit and grant a critical hit to the next ally who hits the creature with a melee attack before the start of your next turn. Your attack only deals normal damage, and the next ally automatically confirms the hit as a critical.

Orc barbarian with power attack and a greatsword. Not creative, I know.

Not creative but very effective!

At 1st level most martial classes are pretty much the same given the same stats. The basic formula is high STR Power Attack and a two handed weapon. Even the Orc Barbarian is only up by +1 to hit and damage in most cases. A Ranger vs. his favored enemy will actually be +2 to hit and damage. With starting wealth most of the Time the AC is also going to be similar also. Somewhere around 4th to 6th level is where you start to see some differences in the classes.

Power Attack + Furious Focus for the win!

Take one human sorcerer (tattooed archetype) with a tattoo focus on evocation spells.

Orc or Dragon (blue) blood-line

Cha 11 is minimum.

Feats:

1 h: spell focus (evocation)
1 s: varisian tattoo (evocation)
1: spell perfection (shocking grasp)

traits:
(regional) precosious apprentice (+1 CL for shocking grasp)
(magic) magical lineage (shocking grasp)

For maximizing damage you have:

Shocking Grasp at CL 5 (Sorcerer 1, trait 1, feat 1, feat 2)

5d6 + 5 at level 1

at level 3

take intense spells

shocking grasp is now a 1st level spell that does:

7d6 + 7.

The Exchange

Samurai or cavalier
Power attack
+ Mount with 3 primary attacks
= 4 high str attacks per round

Spell Specialization is what you need for the +2 CL

Ah, I wasn't sure which one it was. Thank you.

Doesn't Shocking Grasp cap out at 5d6 though (level based damage)?

Not with Intensified Spell (caps out at 10d6).

And how to you get around Spell Perfection's prerequisites in order to take it at level 1?

Human Rogue with Power Attack and Greatsword. :-D

Hmm... I may have to make this character now :-)

Here is my attempt:)

Ahh, I read it as though Spell Specialization would have been the corrected choice instead of Intensified Spell. Oops.

For other interesting ways to do more damage at level one and beyond, use the environment. IF there is a large boulder nearby, roll it towards the enemy. Use a heavy chest, bull rush off cliffs. Be creative mostly.

If you're going martial, the trick is to get multiple full-power attacks. The 3 easiest ways are reach, Cleave and Cleaving Finish.

Personally, I like Human Gendarme Cavalier (Order of the Seal). Feats: Power Attack, Cleave, Cleaving Finish. Get a greatsword for indoors work, a lance for outdoors work, and go into either Fighter or Barbarian from here.
