I feel that great things are commencing to be set in motion.

I think we should carol this dark advent. Everyone sing along:

Look to the sky
way up on high
there in the night
stars are now right

aeons have passed
now then at last
prison walls break
old ones awake....

Thanks for helping out, Killa!

Frog God Games

We got all of them out except a few weird orders (6 or so left) I am still sorting through--I probably made a few mistakes; so let me know if I did. I know in at least one case I shipped a book to an old address (and then shipped on to the correct address the next day).

Just kidding on my back--I am fine. My kid broke her ankle this week; so that added to the fun. Dawn, Killa and Skeet helped a ton, thanks again all.

Direct order books are all signed by me.

Tome of Adventure Design will release for pre-order on my website on or about September 28, and a few copies of Tome SW are still for sale; buttons go up on Monday.

so what's the difference between Tome of Horrors Complete and Tome of Horrors Complete Unlimited?

The cover—other than that, the content has not changed.

Thanks so much.

What state are they shipping out from (Trying to guess when mine will arrive). :)

Oh man i am looking forward to my book. I mean i've had the pdf for a while now...but that really doesnt measure up to the actual beast of a tome... I can use it to punish my players when they are bad both in game and out!

Yes, throwing the book at them means so much more when the Tome is sitting by your side. :D

Same as Paizo, good ole Washington state. Washingtonians do not sunburn, we rust.

Hey that's for Origonians! Just kidding. You guys probably rust just as well as we do. :D

Now is the waiting time....

I will be patient, oh yes I will. (I don't have much choice.)

WOOHOO! Got my copy today! And my mail carrier didn't even hit me :-)

Got mine yesterday. Even more awesome that I thought. Also thicker than I thought. The Bill Webb signature makes it all the more awesome. Only minus, some of the corners on mine are pretty bashed up and bent. Anyone else have beat up corners?

Anyway, thanks for the great book. Getting close to ordering Slumbering Tsar, any cutoff date for that?

Grotnar wrote:

Mine arived with some minor denting on the top corner of the spine. Nothing too terrible however... :-)

Mine still hasn't arrived. I wonder if it's because my last name (W). I had heard the printing labels were done up alphabetically.

As for bashed and dented corners, as long as it's very minor, and the binding is ok, I'll be happy.

But I may snag my Limited copy from Paizo as my usable copy, and give my DM the Paizo Unlimited copy I ordered. I am hoping Paizo will use those cardboard book end protectors like they did with Ultimate Magic, and I am guessing with Ultimate Combat, although I picked mine up at GenCon.

I was just checking in on this and I noticed the line about the $4 shipping. I ordered directly back in March, and I don't think I was charged for the $4 (from the confirmation email I got then). Should I send it in now? Is my delivery being held up? Thanks for any information on this =)

I don't believe any book was held back from shipping due to that. If it was on the list and had no other problems, like a missing address, it was shipped.

I am sure that Bill would appreciate you paying him the shipping fee as it sounded like it may have cost him more than $4 per shipment.

He was telling me how much he appreciated the honesty and generosity of gamers. You guys are the best!

Will do!

Edit: And sent. Also sent another $4 to cover shipping for the upcoming Slumbering Tsar book I ordered (squeeeee)

If he charged $4.00 to ship everywhere in the US, it sure did cost him (if my shipping label is any indication). The shipping label on mine says it cost $4.05. Now $.05 may not sound like a lot, but I'm sure it all added up...

Bill has been far more than generous with me in the past, so I plan on purchasing the full subscription to The Slumbering Tsar Saga as a thank you...

I have to agree. I was pretty shocked when I saw it was only $4. As I know from Paizo, no ground shipment has been less than $10, and for shipments that weigh much less than the Tome.

And I already have purchased the Slumber Tsar Saga subscription. :)

Gaming fans are awesome. :)

Digitalelf wrote:

Well, a thousand copies times a nickel comes out to $50.

Given the number of copies printed and then mailed by Frog God, the effect of people who didn't wind up paying the $4 (if only because they never noticed they weren't charged and never saw that they were supposed to check) probably exceeds the effect of the nickles.

Well, Media Mail is the super-cheap shipping option, complete with fairly tight restrictions on what is allowed to be shipped and back-of-the-line priority.

Paizo could theoretically use if for some of the stuff they sell, but checking the order to make sure all of it qualified and dealing with people getting upset with it taking forever and the like would almost certainly be more trouble than it's worth. (Note that, Amazon doesn't even bother to work through that sort of effort on stuff it sells Free Super Saver Shipping, and they could theoretically save millions if it were efficient to do so.) Frog God can take advantage on ToHC because they were shipping a large batch of identical Media Mail-qualified items not potentially packaged with other things all at once.

My 4.5 year old daughter got ahold of mine this morning and just sat for a half hour or so lying on her stomach flipping gently through the pages marveling at all the "awesome munshters." Horrifying & Cute.

I got mine today! Woohoo!!!! I am going to make such use out of this bad boy. I'm one of those people who preordered the unlimited edition as well as this 1st printing because, frankly, it's a beautiful book and I'd like to keep this thing in mint condition. Having an unlimited copy will allow me to get more wear and tear out of it when I game.

Yup--I probably shoukld have charged $6 for shipping--w/ boxes/wrap etc. What the heck. Just buy more books guys...

Sorry for any minor dings guys--those boxes are pretty tough--but the weight of the book makes it hard to protect. If anyone has one that got really thrashed, let me know.

Look for a huge release (pre-order) later today on TOAD. We neeed pre-orders from our site to fund printing. If we sell enough, Paizo will have them later as well; but we cannot do these books w/ out pre-orders to fund the printing. It will be stitch bound too! and....I kept the price cheap ($42.00).

I have been on the wall on this one, but stitch bound and half the price of the Tome and Tsar...yeah, I'll get that one too =p

Got my TOHC in the mail today! Thanks all! As a real thank you I just preordered the TOAD as well. Keep up the great work guys!

I felt guilty about calling out from work today, something I rarely do. But then my ToH came just an hour ago, so I take that as a divine sign that I made the right choice.

I preordered Slumbering Tsar, does that help? Although I am thinking of pre-ordering TOAD, as well.

But just out of curiosity, how big is the book?

Frog God Games

Toad is about 350 pages--stitch bound etc. Tsar will be about 1200 pages...not sure yet. Tsar postage will be requested once I know how big (that's why no postage fees are charged for Tsar). I have been unable to find a book mailer big enough--so it may be $12 or so domestic.

Toad will be $4 shipping as usual.

Frog God Games

ps--guys; you gotta trust me on TOAD--imho, its one of the most useful books ever made. I frickin' love this book; and Rowena's cover doesn't suck either (might be our best cover too).

Ok, done! Just preordered. :)

I had to wait till I made it home from work...just downloaded TOAD now =p. Looks good so far on a quick perusal, and even though it's B&W, I love the art.

My favorite so far is the Swords & Wizardry Complete Rulebook cover.

Got my TOH today, very happy.

Bonus points, its signed by Bill Webb, which was completely unexpected.

Okay, you far exceeded my expectations of the TOH. I'm in on the TOAD. Will preorder today.

Thank you for a great book.

About ready to pull the trigger on Tsar. I love me some Greg Vaughn. Just to be sure, I order the full premium sub, I get the hardcover as well as all the pdfs? And I get access to the available pdfs right away? Also, the soft cover versions are not part of the sub, but the released ones are also available right now for order separately?

Also TOAD has me a bit intrigued. Might preorder that as well. The price seems right. And I love me some tables and charts.

Any general ballpark idea when either of these might be released? I'm not looking for a date. Just something general like "We're shooting for first quarter 2012." Something like that, the more specific the better, but anything ya can share.

And again Tome of Horrors Complete is awesome. Glad and surprised that you have generated so much interest in a $100+ rpg book. Makes me smile.

Keep it up, and thanks.

Yes you get the hardcover and PDF'S 1-10 as those have been released already, you will get the last 4 as they are individually released.

Yes you can get the individual sofcopies HERE

Well Bill stated in THIS thread on the Necromancer Games forums that they would take preorders for TOAD until DEC.1st so that might give you some timeline and I am sure Greg,Bill or Dawn might be able to give you a better idea of when TOAD and Tsar will be released but yeah both will proabably early sometime next year, Tsar probably later like in the year.

Bigkilla is correct. The Tsar subscription gets you everything but the individual soft cover modules. Those are sold separately. 1st Quarter 2012 is a good estimate for Tsar's final release.

Glad you like TOHC! I hope we can get you a lot more stuff that you like. Thanks for coming on board. :-)

Those of you that have received your copy of ToHC, what mail service was used? Just trying to figure out who I need to be on the lookout for.

Thanks!

USPS, Media Mail. It should be clear when there is a delivery person at the door muttering blasphemous incantations to Tsathoggua that your book has arrived.

TOHC just arrived in Houston, TX via USPS. No bent corners or dents.
