Well, the good news is, my copy of the TOME OF HORRORS arrived the other day.

The bad news is, the upper right-hand corner of the ENTIRE book has a GREAT BIG *DENT*, and the upper left-hand corner has a BIG *DENT* in it!!! >:-l

This, despite the book being wrapped in bubble wrap and in a cardboard box...

While the product is great, the condition that it arrived in really made me think, "I spent a hundred dollars on THIS?!"

And I suppose that since the original printing is sold out, I don't have much recourse available, right?

Cheers, JohnH / Wanda

That is the good ole United States Postal Service.

I once had a box come to my house for a item of books I won off of Ebay. The box had been obviously torn and ripped up fairly badly, it was taped back together and had some packing materials in it but otherwise was empty, no books. The USPS =quality and pride in their work.

But on a side note Send an e-mail to Bill at talesofthefroggod.com and I am sure he can probably help. He mentioned upthread he would do his best to make things right in the event that something like this happens.

Thanks for the advice!

BTW, is there any easy way to upload a photo to this site so I can show the damage?

Cheers, JohnH / Wanda

The Exchange

I will just pipe in here.

The post office does not move most of their own mail. IT is contracted out to a LOT of shippers like UPS,DHL,FEDEX GROUND,SPEE-DEE DELIVERY, etc.

Gang, the post office uses these guys all the time and that is why some packages cannot be verified by the post office as to where they are.

The post office doesn't know.

If the commercial carriers suddenly failed the post office would go down with them.

You cannot upload files to this site. You could upload them to something like Photobucket and directly link to it. Examples below.

Necromancer Games and frog God Games.

Got my TOH today, very happy.

Bonus points, its signed by Bill Webb, which was completely unexpected.

Yeah, Bill said he would be signing the original run as a concession to those who bought it for collector's value when the decision was made to reprint.

Sovereign Court

Got mine yesterday!!!
Fantastic and huge, it survived the trip to the East coast with no damage and is signed by Bill himself.

Thanks Bill et.al. for all your effort in making this.

For those who missed it go order the Unlimited version, it is well worth it.

The Exchange

Got mine today in Delaware.
Minor corner damage on all corners.
Not a big deal.
Giant Abyssal Dire Frogs FTW!

My oWoD collection is still larger, that is what every WoD book printed looks like on a bookshelf. ;)

He probably opened something he shouldn't have...

A safe arrival in the UK with just minor crushing to the corners. Just in time for the weekend :)

Sovereign Court RPG Superstar 2009 Top 32, 2010 Top 8

I got mine yesterday.

*feels that loving orange glow of averice* Mine!

Just got mine in yesterday... just in time for the character creation session for the slumbering tsar campaign this weekend. There is something appealing about having it sit out ominously in front of my players as they create their characters.

Here too. Although delivered to the wrong house. Addressed to the right house, though. Rassum frassum rassum Post Office. Haven't dared take it out of the bubble wrap yet but it looks good. Will be showing it off on Monday.

Got mine yesterday. Thanks to every minion of the Frog God being involved and making it happen!
Looking forward to upgrading corner protection ;-)

John H; no worries--email me and I will replace the copy

Now that you mentioned it, I went and looked. There really is a signature.

Bill Webb wrote:

Sorry for any minor dings guys

Yeah, there is a corner or two that is dinged. Not that big a deal, though, as I plan to get a leather jacket for the book.

It came today!!! Less than 5 minutes ago the postman handed it to me. He showed me the extra USPS sticker on it, that had been blacked out, which meant some idiot in the Postal system mis-routed it for a couple of days.

Couple of corner dings since it looked like an elephant sat on it, but mine is not for collection but to brain Bob (my bad pun player) over the head with!

O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!'
He chortled in his joy.

and Bill did sign it, and I am happy!!!!

Liberty's Edge

Got mine yesterday in Derby, Kansas. Absolute perfect condition!!!

By the way, did anybody mention this book is HUGE! I cannot wait to set it out in front of my players next weekend.

Great Product and a Great Value. I'll be preordering TOAD as soon as possible.

Thanks all!!!

At what point should I begin to worry?

Alzrius, did you order from Paizo or from Frog God Games, and are you an international customer? If you ordered from Paizo, you should post your inquiry in the customer service forums.

Sorry, I should have clarified. I ordered directly from Frog God Games, a copy of the limited edition Pathfinder-version of the ToHC. I'm also a domestic (that is, resident of the United States) customer.

You should have received yours by now. Either your post office (or one somewhere) is using it as a door stop, (and who could blame them? It would do a fine job, though it might trip folks up) or it got lost somehow. Contact bill at talesofthefroggod dot com.
