Hey all, I'm back with a regular internet connection. I'll take a bit to get caught up, figure out a reason for my character to suddenly have become a mute, and get back into the swing of things. I apologize for taking so long.

M orc Paladin / 1

"Fear not friend yer stories o yer homeland ore those I look forward to hearing."

"Joy is in the ears tha hear"

Male Human Cleric3

Yeah, I'd Love to drop in on Tully, who might even be able to hold these pieces for us, or have an idea who can. By the way Fubar, from the time our new half-orc friend has been spending with Karrg on the way back to town, I think he probably speaks some Yeti too. Its just too bad we don't know someone who speaks Tengu yet.

After the fight at the rope bridge, Ulkrith made a point to dismiss Asins before stepping forward and introducing himself to the group. The half-orc accompanied the party half way to Camlin, before deciding to head back to the cave and keep watch while waiting for everyone's return; having been a wanderer for so long, Ulkrith is hesitant to return to any traditional settlement.

Ulkrith remained somewhat withdrawn during his initial time with the group, not sharing much of his background nor his abilities. The half-orc did make a point to listen intently to Karrg, and the little yeti chattered away happily as they walked.

I hope that will suffice to cover my absence; my character's not currently one for cities anyway.

As you work your way around town and pick up from local sources.

It seems there was once a dwarven stronghold not far from Camlin, it fell silent generations ago, everyone figuring that the reclusive dwarves simply moved further away from the city.

The general population is not at all happy as the two men have spread tales of their capture and described the well armed and armored orcs to the townsfolk.....

Several eyes have turned upon you to do something about this threat!

Spoiler:

I am thinking I can keep up the DMing through the dwarven stronghold but someone else will need some ideas for afterwords.....

Apologies to all. I haven't been able to get into the story as much as I want to. Thanks all.

Krill disappears into the crowd, his presence now only a memory.

As evidence about the threat mounts, Caydee just starts grinning expectantly.

I assume that means we are going forward with:

Azhateran
Caydee
Fubar
Ulkrith

After a day or two in town, with the townsfolk constantly asking you if you think the Orcs are on the march towards town, you eventually find people more and more edgy......

"How many Orcs is they?"

"Are tha gonna attack tha town?"

Spoiler:

I suspect it will take a bit to get through the module, who is next on the agenda to DM?

I can always cut a dungeon crawl short, it is simple enough to end a dungeon at a blank wall.... ;)

If it's a module, it's safe to assume I don't have it.

"Ahz, Fubar? Aren't we going to go look into this orc problem?"

M orc Paladin / 1

"I am ready when you are, I have had mah bath an have filled mah belly with hot stew, I would like a warm night by a roaring fire an ken leave in the morning."

I'm afraid I don't have access to that module, either. Though, to be honest, I prefer a more free-form plot than published material for this game anyway.

"Good! I'll go get ready for leaving, then. Meet you in the inn in the morning." She dashes off to her 'parent's' house.

But it's still no problem; it can probably be improvised by whoever is GMing.

Preferences noted.....

The morning light makes little look different....

The men you rescued are unloading and storing the junk from the wagon, their wives and children are also there.

A light snow starts, and a wall cloud hangs back towards the mountains.

The journey is fairly uneventful....

Is everyone ready?

Yup.

Caydee is in good spirits for the beginning of the trip; Ahz is at the receiving end of plenty of good-natured ribbing, and she discuses fighting orcs with Fubar for a while.

M orc Paladin / 1

"Is thar a bridge o somethin we ken take tah get cross tha pit at the entrance o tha fortress?"

"I know not o such a thing."

"But we knows o tha obstacle an ken takes wha we needs."

Heading back out to the caverns you instead about 2 miles out and near dusk run into a party of Orcs.......

Roll for initiative!

"Darnit!" Caydee had obviously been hoping to reach the caverns without trouble- but trouble had found them anyway. "Ahz, get your cleric powers-from-the-gods ready." She draws her bow.

initiative 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

M orc Paladin / 1

Initiative 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Perception 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (5) - 1 = 4

"Prepare to defend yourselves!"

Ulkrith and Azahataran....are needed!

I'm keeping an eye on the cave, and nowhere near Camlin. The fight is going to have to be carried on without me.

Ulkrith

Spoiler:

Around midday a group of ugly orcs come out of the cave and head towards the town....

DM Post Ghost:
Ulkrith takes note of the orcs' number, follows them for a mile to ensure they don't change their direction, then returns to his scouting position to await the others' return.

As a quick aside, while I wait for the others to catch up, would there be any objection to possibly modifying the character with the new class options recently uploaded to the PRD? Some of the summoner progressions are extremely intriguing, but I'm not sure if broadening allowed content with new PRD additions was considered while I was away.

Ulkrith

Spoiler:

APG and UM is fine!

Azhateran is sleep walking and fails his initivtive check!

The Orc party barks orders back and forth to each other,

Fubar nearly takes out another orc!

AHZ is up!

Has our PBP died?

I hope not- give Ahz some more time. The pbp won't do as well without him anyway.

M orc Paladin / 1

Things can be resurrected in the event of death.

I'm still around; my time has suddenly gotten sparse again, but I've enough to play in a few games at the moment. So long as I don't have to run one as well. It's just hard to keep folks motivated without daily updates in a play by post.

Or maybe it has died, and we're just the last ones to find out?

I was not part of the original crew who started this PBP...

SO I am "unwilling" to call it done.

I will be running some much shorted module based PBP's as I get a chance.....

Post a link over here, please, if you get some started. I might not be able to join, but who knows?

M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA

I got a couple of things going currently, will see what I can do...

Male Human Cleric3

Hey all,

Sorry for disappearing. My father was murdered in Texas near the end of June. I'm still coming to grips with it.

I could use some gaming if some of you want to get things going again.

Ahz/Helle/Aaron

M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA

Wow....
I am not even sure what coming to grips means in that case....

I am not sure who is or is not still around?
There are new features here on Paizo where we can tie the threads together and include a campaign info tab.
