Meanwhile, on the other side of the arena, the leshy attempts to leap over to the platform next to the pool of water. With a running start, the leshy leaps...

...and lands on the platform as the wood underneath creaks. The crowd that surrounds the arena let out a collective cheers as he lands. You could swear you heard some branches snapping as the leshy lands. The leshy pulls out a length of rope from their backpack.

While the leshy is rummaging for rope, the dwarf slams his fists together as winds start whistling on top of the other platform. He slams his fists again, this time with more gusto. As he does, the winds start pushing into the backs of his team. Beckoned by the elements, they move down the platform.

Remquar looks around in fascination during all the preliminary proceedings, taking in the surroundings and all the tantilizingly diverse assembled people. As they proceed to the event platform, Rem seems a little bewildered by the setup and mutters, "Unfortunately, obstacle courses were never my forte back home..." Indeed, although he does not look scrawny, neither does he look particularly muscular.

As the event starts, Rem watches in fascination as the leshy performs a tremendous leap and then in astonishment as the dwarf appears to channel the element of air. He smiles hearing Fey's inspiring song and seeks not to be outdone by the dwarf.

Remquar presses his palm together, causing air to swirl around him and then thrust his palms forward, sending a blast of air at the leshy. Channel elements with free elemental blast, one action.

Elemental blast: 1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 7 + 1 = 11

Rem's aim is off but he refocuses and tries again, concentrating more deeply and letting Fey's song guide him, sending a second blast at the leshy, this time of air crackling with electricity (simply because it may put on a better show). 2 action elemental blast, which allows him to add his CON modifier to damage.

Without even seeing the result of his attack, he allows himself to be pulled along by the blast, off the platform, floating slowly to the ground. The air impulse junction allows him to stride half his speed before or after a two-action impulse, and his air cushion reaction allows him to fall unharmed.

Fey lowers herself off the platform to the sand-covered floor as Tamhar and Remqaur launch a barrage of attacks at the leshy. Utilising the wall of the pool, the leshy dodges the strikes. All but one - Tamhar's arrow strikes the creature as leaves fly off and into the pool.

While Remqaur gently flows to the arena floor, picking up sand, the goblin and elf dash to get closer to the bags hanging above the pool, taking one side each. The orc, however, attempts to imitate the success of his floral ally and makes a running leap towards the pool platform.

Long Jump, Athletics: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11

On the last step, he stumbles and doesn't quite make the jump. He crashes face first into the sand as a series of Oh-s can be heard from the onlookers. With a little red on his cheeks, he stands up and dusts himself off, pondering his next course of action.

With his rope now pulled from the backpack, the leshy next to the pool tosses one end of the rope at the nearest bag...

Since there are no rules for this, I will treat it as a ranged attack (DC 20) with a 10 ft range increment. Since the bags are hanging 15 ft above the pool, the total range for this particular attack is 20 ft.

The rope falls back without coiling around. The leshy tries again...

Sorry for the wait, I had less time than I thought getting ready for chaperoning prom yesterday. If I'm reading the stuff correctly, courageous anthem only lasts one round, so the +1 to attack, damage, and saves from fear is dropped now that Fey is taking her turn. If I'm wrong, I'll file it away for the future and keep these actions.

The leshy holding the rope tries to duck behind the pool's edge, but Tamhar's and Remqaur's shots strike true even through the barrier. As the leashy collapses to the floor of the platform, the rope dangles limply from the bag, one end floating on the pool's surface.

The dwarf's veins pulse black as he grunts in pain. He resists the worst effects, but could obviously feel Fey's spell.

The goblin charges towards the leshy, pulls out a potion, and empties it into the leshy's... mouth/proboscis/cavity thing.

I'm going to say that there is a wooden beam above the pool, and individual bags each have their own rope hanging from it. So, in theory, you could either pull down the whole beam, break it, or climb it, and then run across, cutting each rope individually. And I will say the beams are set in the ground just behind the fountains at 12 and 6 o'clock. Good luck!

The halfling runs up the ladder to the platform, looks at the leshy, and channels a spell into her companion. The leshy's leaves turn back to their original lush green, if not more than before.

Fabian, the high jump action is incredibly difficult to pull off, for some reason. With an athletics roll of 17, I will say you did it to the top of the platform.

Looking around and recognising that things are getting quite violent, the dwarf, again, slams his fists together. This time, small metal shavings rise up from the ground and swirl around the man. With a series of quick, practiced motions, the metal bits stick to his body to form a protective shell.

Some, however, remain around him, and the dwarf hurls part of them at the nearest blue team member. In this case, Fabian.

The barrage of metal needles pierce into Fabian, tearing cloth and flesh. The onlookers from the side of the arena let out a collective cheer and clap.

Rem will use his base kinesis power to pull air above and behind the nearest bag towards him, and in the process hopefully swing the bag within grasping distance. If that works, he will use his remaining action to secure the bag in his grasp.

If it is clear that base kinesis will not work in that fashion, I will revise his actions. If it is clear base kinesis will not work only AFTER expending the two actions on it, then he will pull out a rope to attempt what the leshy attempted before (although it seems quite difficult).

Remqaur, roll me an athletics check to grab and maintain a hold on the bag. If you fail it, it will swing back to the other side, where the other team will be able to grab it.

Rem grabs for the bag as it swings near but he fails to grab a firm hold.

Will it swing back my next turn? Any other skills I can use, such as acrobatics?

The bag eludes the amurrun's grasp and swings back above the pool, this time heading for the other end of the arena. When attempting to grab it, the Remqaur notes that the bag weighs roughly 30 kg (approximately 2 bulk) and is filled with sand-like material.

You can certainly jump after it into the pool if you wish. There is no barrier there. I will allow you one more action. So it's either move or some other 1-action thing.

Side note, that pool is not deep either. It's knee-deep, with the surface approximately on the same level as the wooden platform next to it.

Seeing three opponents on the other side of the pool, Rem decides it would be wiser to wait for the bag to swing back than to jump after it (hoping that his opponents fail to grab it). He lifts his horn and blows to inspire his allies, taking inspiration from and adding his own style to the melody and rhythm of Fey's piece.

Both Fabian and the bag drop into the knee-high pool of water.

The dwarf, seeing Fabian release a bag, extends his hands towards the Inheritor's faithful, and the needles surrounding the dwarf descend upon Fabian.

Rem sees Fabian, clutching a bag, fall in the water, 35-40 feet away, and then he sees the water turn red as the holy warrior is assailed by the dwarf. Rem looks at the bag moving towards him, curses quietly in frustration, moves closer to Fabian, and blows his horn to send a cascade of healing sound towards his ally.

She raises a force barrier in front of her just as Tamhar launches two arrows at Red team's orc. First goes wide, but as he is about to laugh at Tamhar's aim, his shoulder is pierced by another.

The goblin on the platform decides to take Fabian's bag. After disposing of Fabian in the first place. He fires, reloads, and fires again. Fabian quickly moves the bag to be in the way, and the two bolts impact the fabric as sand starts spilling through the bolt holes.

Interestingly enough, there are no acrobatics actions associated with climbing or jumping in the acrobatics skill. I will use your roll for an athletics check instead, but since it's essentially a scaffolding, it's easy to climb.

Tamhar quickly shimmies up onto the platform, leaps and grabs one of the bags abvoe the pool. Again, the rope above snaps and both she and the bag fall into the water.

While that is happening, the dwarf seems to be getting ready to intercept Tamhar's attempt. He lifts his foot to step forwards, but is immediately stopped by powerful localised winds cutting at his feet. Already exhausted from the fight, he fall to his knees, takes a few breaths, and collapses to the floor, only to be immediately pulled to the edge of the arena by an unseen force.

Endoin waits patiently for the elf to fumble with the bag and finally get it loose. Tense and ready, but motionless, he watches as the rope breaks and the bag starts coming downwards. Right as the bag crosses in front of the elf's face and blocks his vision, Endoin draws and aims the bow.

He releases the arrow.

As the elf works to secure his grip on the bag, the arrow flies directly through where the bag was just moments before.
