Looking for a PFS game for 1st lvl character

Recruitment

Grand Lodge

Anybody have a PFS play by post going that might be looking for a player? I have a 1st lvl invulnerable rager that I would like to play. :)

You and me both, man.

I was quite dissapointed to learn that there were not one but two PFS games that filled up last weekend, mere days before I was looking for one.

Grand Lodge

Thor, what kind of character are you looking to play? What level?

The Exchange

I have this particular Rogue (Swashbuckler) that I want to get into one too. I have been through the Fallen Fortress with him, but that has been all.

Grand Lodge

Nice, one more and all we need is a GM! :)

Grand Lodge

bump

I've already got 3 Campaigns running or I'd offer to play. Hope you guys find what you need.

Grand Lodge

Thanks man! Itching to develop this Invulnerable Rager idea! :)

I have an Inquisitor ready to go as well.
Been trying to find a PFS game for a bit now.

Grand Lodge

Nice! Ok, now to find a GM! :)

There were several games that filled up over the last week or so. You have to be quick.

I just closed my Council of Thieves game on Wednesday.

Grand Lodge

Yeah, which is why I'm posting a GM wanted. ;p

Silver Crusade

I have a stupid question, as I couldn't quite figure this out from the character creation guide for PFS... how do groups work? Are all the PCs from the same faction? Or are tables made from PCs of whatever factions are available, such that you would see a Cheliax PC and Silver Crusade PC on the same adventure?

If it's all same faction, I suspect I'll need to figure out which ones see the most play...

Grand Lodge

Naw, everyone can be of a different faction. You will have a mission that is for everyone as a Pathfinder, and then each player will have a secondary mission depending on their faction.

For example, I had a character that was of Taldor faction, and my group mates were Cheliax, Lantern Lodge, and Grand Lodge. Generally, you all get along, but there are some role-playing opportunities if you have rival factions (as when I was meeting the Qadiran Venture-Captain) but the overlying theme is that everyone is a Pathfinder first, then if they can, they may complete their faction quests as well to build prestige.

Silver Crusade

Sweet. Sorry for that derail; I'd actually be interested in getting into PFS play and have some legal or nearly legal characters, so was curious.

Looks like you're full up on players and now seeking a GM though, so good luck and thanks for your help!

Grand Lodge

We can have a five person party... with no adjustment! So you are welcome to join if we can find a GM.

Silver Crusade

Cool. I'll keep in touch, and see which of the half-dozen or so sheets I have handy would be good to run with. What is the party so far, anyway? I see mentions of a Swashbuckler and Invincible Rager, plus an Inquisitor... who's the 4th?

I'm presumably the fifth, and it looks like I'd be best advised to bring a 'face' and/or magic-oriented type with the party thus far?

I have an Intimidation focused Thug Rogue/Fighter character I have been contemplating lately. I also have a Dwarf Cleric of Erastil. Both brand new characters.

Silver Crusade

By the way... how are we going to do this? Virtual Tabletop of some sort?

Grand Lodge

I don't know, it depends on the GM. He or she will dictate the terms of how to run the game online. I have no experience with virtual tabletops and little experience with online roleplaying. So we'll see!

I hope we can attract a GM!

Silver Crusade

Right, good point. Shows how alert I am at this hour...

In any case, I can offer any of the following characters for a party. (List edited since initial post, removed a redundant build)

1 - Elf Bard, CG Align, Desna affiliated. Primarily an archer, face, some knowledge, some stealth/perception/etc. Is a frequent joker and makes silly remarks (may call certain dangerous monsters 'cute', etc.), but is acting in the party's general interests nonetheless.

2 - Human Sorc (Celestial), NG align, Sarenrae affiliated. Mix of summoning, blasting, control, bits of buffing after a few levels. Can do Face role and very limited healing. Unusual for a follower of the sun goddess, this character is very smugly confident and doesn't really fit the 'serene enlightened' motif her clergy are known for.

3 - Human NG (deity TBD) or CG (Milani affiliated) Fighter, built around polearms such as Horsechopper or Bill. Can do minor Face roles due to Cha in the 12-14 range and picking up Diplomacy if needed. Built around Reach fighting and moving around a lot, so does a little less damage than normal. Uses Light Armor to keep speed up to 30'.

4 - Human Paladin of Sarenrae, melee built around TWF with scimitar and light spiked shield. Low Int/Wis, manifesting as mostly an energetic personality that has little interest in planning... but will listen to plans others propose, knowing full well they're better at that sort of thing. Can melee, face, some healing.

Are any of these particularly good or bad fits for your interests and party so far? If so, I can narrow choices down, refine the sheet, do PFS paperwork, and be ready to play.

Well, I am specifically looking for a PbP.

Oh, and we really don't have a party. We don't have a GM. We are just a few folks with a common interest posting on dream. Draw up as many characters as you are interested in doing. Maybe one day you will get to play them.

The Exchange

@ThornGN: Cleric of Erastil would fit well. Plus, you would not be able to pull off the multi-class at first level.

Still interested with my Inquisitor. I have this post dotted in case a GM pops up.

Silver Crusade

I might have to step out, as PBP doesn't particularly interest me. I prefer the VTT experience as it's more 'immediate' and feels closer to normal TT play.

No harm done if I duck out of this though, you still have a decent sized group. Good luck if so!

Grand Lodge

The hardest part for me with a VTT experience is that I am in Hawaii, which makes the time difference pretty difficult for setting up a specific meeting time. Though if a time could be coordinated I would be open to it.

Like Thor though, I am more looking for a PbP, so that it can be done more easily at our own pace...

This

I'll hop into this thread as I have joined PS recently (yesterday) and am looking for a beginner campaign for my Elven Magus. I should go make my character sheet in the meantime.

Bumping to see if a willing GM shows up.
