King of Talingarde

Loot Spreadsheet for Parchment 1

Here's the loot spreadsheet. I only added a few things as an example for now, but the way I designed it you can keep a list of all loot found in column 1, putting in the place you found it and a list of what it is in a comment. The Party Treasure list lists things that haven't been divied up yet. Then there's columns for individual loot as assigned to know who it went to.

Of course if there's a different way you'd like to use it, that's up to you.

Also the second book was 150gp

King of Talingarde

The bolts and arrows had the same distribution.

2 +1 flaming
2 +1 frost
2 +1 shock

And I put a link to the loot list on the campaign tab as well.

Not in use

I thought I'd asked the question, but then realised the post monster ate it when I attempted to post.

King Mark - do you have any issues with Bostarg taking the spell Sow Thought from the Changeling section in the ARG?

Tatya has Craft (Alchemy) and Brew Potion, if anyone's buying alchemical items or potions. She can make them at cost.

EDIT: DM, how much is that silver-and-sapphire holy symbol worth, for the purpose of my False Focus feat? Is it a standard 25 gp silver holy symbol? Her Take 10 on Appraise is 16.

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

Hey Buggula, go ahead and take the above arrows. We had a set of bolts and arrows with the same description.

The bolts went to AV and the arrows can go to Aedorn. Just look in KM's post above as to what they are.

That way, I can take those off the list as well once you got them copied over.

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

Also, everybody gets another 30g with the selling of the book.

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

@KM: Would it be possible to make my armor and shield +1 items? It's 1000g for each of them. Which would then leave me with 200g.

Tatya will spend her three months and treasure brewing potions. Will work out how many and which ones tomorrow; I have her all ready except for the gear.

King of Talingarde

Fine with Sow Though, Bostarg. Can't wait to see it used to be honest!

The holy symbol is worth 250gp, Joana.

During this time frame, existing magical items can indeed be increased, though at full price for the magic portion (so 1,000gp to make existing masterwork armor +1). This would involve being without those items for the requisite time, but that shouldn't affect anything.

HP 45/45, AC- 18, Touch- 14, Flat- 14, CMD- 21, Fort- +6, Ref- +9, Will- +2, Percep- +7, Init- +4

How do you have 2k spare if we got 700ish each? Have I missed some other cash granted to us at level up? Sorry I thought I was all caught up lol.

That said, I realized I missed something. Everyone will receive an additional 1500gp that can be spent during this three months to help outfit you (doh!). If anyone has access to any craft feats (I'd have to look), you may use this time to do so.

This ;)

Cheers on the Sow Thought King Mark - I agree it should be most fun *evil laugh*

Thanks I couldn't find that in a search. Ill just keep the extra 1500 back as cash for simplicity- consider Alazandaru ready to move on.

Been browsing Ultimate Equipment and wanted to run something past you for approval KM.

Are you ok with the following:

Blood Reservoir of Physical Prowess:
This blown-glass vial has a chain for attaching
it to the handle of a weapon. When filled with
the wearer’s blood, it gains powerful magic.
Filling the reservoir takes a full minute, deals
4 points of Constitution damage (which
can be healed normally), and imbues the
reservoir with 4 charges. Charging the reservoir changes the
blood to magical fluid, which does not clot or decay with time.
The wearer can speak the first command word to draw 1 or
more charges from the reservoir, curing 1 point of physical ability
score damage per charge used.
The wearer can speak the second command word to imbue
herself with a great burst of physical prowess, depleting all
remaining charges and gaining an inherent bonus to one physical
ability score equal to twice the number of charges used. This
bonus lasts until the end of the wearer’s next turn.
The bearer can only use the reservoir if it is held in hand or
attached to a held or wielded weapon. A bearer can safely carry
only one charged reservoir at a time; any others spontaneously
drain their charges in 1d10 rounds, leaving only the highestcharged
reservoir intact. A reservoir has no effect if not charged
with the wearer’s blood, and cannot be charged by bloodless
creatures or those that cannot take Constitution damage.

Has a list price of 2,000gp in the book.

King of Talingarde

I'm fine with that item. I remember reading it. It's activation is still a standard action, so situational usefulness imo, but I did like the concept. Better than the static bonus items for flavor.

Not in use

Excellent good - I'll add that to my sheet and keep the rest of the cash liquid.

Bostarg is ready to roll on.

Not in use

So 1500 + 673.5 +30 - 2000 = 203.5gp remaining

I've been really struggling trying to level Tatya up as a Witch, and I think it's because what I really want to do is take a level of Rogue (Poisoner) and start making and using poisons. It'll put us behind a level on getting cure moderate wounds, but her healing hex and potions plus Bostag's wand ought to keep us patched up for another level. As she's already been crafting alchemical items (and has a criminal history of poison use), it's not a huge shift character-wise, and I'm unlikely to take more than the one level.

Here's her stat block as a witch 2/rogue (poisoner) 1, with everything but her gold spent. If the level dip meets DM approval, I can have her ready to go tomorrow.

Meh, forgot the extra trait. Think she'll take the +2 vs. charms/compulsions.

Thanks for the reminder. I think I'll go with the initiative bonus.

I also took that one. Alazandaru's will save is a large concern. I'll take Iron Will later too.

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

Are we waiting on something? Morthos is ready to roll.

King of Talingarde

Just a heads up that my PC decided to stop operating as normal today. I hope to get it up and running over the weekend (not 100% sure what's wrong, but I have a friend who knows abit). I can still post from my iPad, but I can't manipulate the battlemats that way, though I can see them. This shouldn't be too long (I hope!), but I'll see about continuing on.

I'll see about getting everything rolling tonight to continue on, though now I'll be drafting the post entirely by hand. I usually do big posts by copy/paste flavor text from the book, and edit it in a word doc to fit, usually well before it becomes applicable. Then before I post do a bit of editing to fit if anythings changed. I know, cheap method, lol.

King of Talingarde

As we go through events, time is going to play a larger role at certain parts. To this end, I've added a google spreadsheet calendar to the campaign tab. I'll be updating this as we go to help reflect this. I've made it editable, so if you all want to mark events and such on it, please feel free to do so.

King of Talingarde

Sorry for the delay, getting the game moving on now.

Right on Morthos... just for reference, that result would have demoralized a Storm Giant ;)

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

LOL! That was a pretty freaking awesome and most timely roll. :)

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

With the whole "Thought Sown" bit, I can't help but think of...

"These are not the droids you're looking for."

"These aren't the droids we're looking for."

"Move along."

"Move along, move along." :)

Andoran

Indeed! Nicely done, guys. Very nicely done.

What do you mean by this bolded part, KM?

If you mean for us to roll the attacks for the NPC's, that's hard to do when we don't know what they are wielding as a weapon.

But, if it were me, I'd have Odenkirk, OM4, and OM5 attack WE5.

Then I would have OM2 and OM3 attack WE2.

Then I would have OM1 and OM6 attack WE1.

Of course, if any of these WE's die and there's still men left who have not attacked, I'd move them toward the nearest WE and have them attack that one.

Anyway, I don't know if you meant for us to roll their attack or not, but if so, that's all any of us can pretty much do seeing how we know nothing of the weapons they use.

What that bolded part means is that someone (coughmecough) needs to better proofread. I meant I'll, not all. And even then, the grammatical error in the sentence is apparent (though not as much).

I'll get to updating here in a sec.

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

Gothca. Cool. I was wonderin'. :)

King of Talingarde

It was pointed out that I forgot to roll miss chance with Odenkirk's men...again. I wish to offer an apology for that, and promise to fix that next round. I honestly don't want to retcon at this point, but will add an additional penalty to Odenkirk's men next round to accomodate.

Male Halfling Monk (Zen Archer) 3

Gee...you don't REALLY have to do that just for our sake :p

And I missed even on the 22? Dang! Not having good luck!

King of Talingarde

He's a toughy. At present he's wearing a coral breastplate (you could see that from your current position) for +5, cover bonus from the water for +4, that's a 19 before natural and dexterity.

Male Halfling Monk (Zen Archer) 3

Well, next round I'll be bringing out the big guns. He's going down!

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

Big guns, BAY-BEE! All those sorry 1 digit rolls are now outta the way, fish chumps! It's die time! Heck yeah! (And by die time, I mean the Triton will be dying. Not us. Just wanna make that clear, m-kay? We now return to our regularly schedule trash-talking.)

Heck yeah! Die time! Whoooo!

Aedorn wrote:

Of course he does. Tatya's very concerned about how bad these barbarian nobodies are making us look, taking out multiple elementals per round while we're struggling. ;P

Am I the only one who finds it really counter-intuitive that stabbing water with a pointy piece of metal can hurt it? Same thing with fire and air, I guess; with earth elementals, at least there's something solid there to hit and do damage to. Elementals are weird.

Alazandaru Viorec wrote:

Yeah, his backstory was all boat-y, wasn't it? My characters who end up in the water always have negative Swim modifiers. :P

I totally blame the dice roller. Not like anyone forgot miss chance rolls for them...thrice. Only twice. And now this battle will not be so nice. For the barbarians, who shall be like mice.

Okay, no idea where that came from.

Joana wrote:

This is actually a point I agree with whole-heartedly. Unfortunately the rules don't support it. If they at least had DR/magic it would feel abit better to me.

Yeah, it's thoroughly a game-balance thing, so you can have summonable elementals at low levels. It's like the choosing to heal or harm when you channel energy, instead of the energy automatically doing both, like it did in Beta: it doesn't make any sense if you think about it, but the mechanics are better for gameplay.

King of Talingarde

Okay, Odenkirk's men are starting to feel abit of the dice roller hate. Maybe it'll let up on you guys some more and hit them. Or better yet, the tritons.

HP 45/45, AC- 18, Touch- 14, Flat- 14, CMD- 21, Fort- +6, Ref- +9, Will- +2, Percep- +7, Init- +4

I only just realised I rolled a D8 for HP rather than the 1d4+4. I got a 4 on the D8 so I actually have less than the minimum possible under KM's rules. Will roll now and update max hp after this fight.

1d4 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

King of Talingarde

That's fine, I missed it as well or I would've said something. Honestly, feel free to update now. It's not like 2hp is that major at this juncture (now if you were dying on the other hand...)

Male Halfling Monk (Zen Archer) 3

That's it, I'm cursed. That or someone at Paizo is playing a prank on me.

King of Talingarde

Oh c'mon, cursed? Everyone knows that curses aren't real.

Spoiler:
Pays off warlock who hexed Aedorn.

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

You would think at some freaking point that the 1's would stop pouring out. I swear, you know, I was in combat in this one pbp and I went the first 6 or 7 rounds before I even hit! And I already had fallen once during that course.

But as bad as that sounds, I just don't think I've ever seen so many 1's in 1 round of rolling.

In your previous rolls, you rolled like 9 times or so, and like 6 of them were single digits. And 1 of those single digit rolls came out of a stinkin' d100! I mean, c'mon! You'd like to think this can't continue but heck, who knows?

Man I hope it ends at some point. Heck, I'm frustrated for you, dude. I know exactly how you feel. What we need to do is find a way to take AK's dice. :)
I've never seen anyone roll as well as you do, AK, on such a consistent basis. It's pretty amazing really.
