Discussion is open.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. I'll begin working on something it may not be exaclty the primal blood rager but I'll make sure that there is no doubt it's a tank.

EDIT: Racial Restrictions?

Just no third party. Doubt evil is the way to go. Keep this in mind as you build. You will be replacing a barbarian. I saw the party headed for TPK early on and saved them by sending in a NPC cleric. Not long after that, the cleric saved them from another potential TPK just by being there. I am leaning toward keeping her out of this next module. So, you are going to need to be very tough and play your guy just right. We can decide about Cirthana before you head out. She was a good fit.

This is when it started going south and I saved them In discussion I let them know their death was back on the menu. She stayed with the party.

She saved him by just being there. Reinar had 13 HP (4 are rage) at this moment. I really enjoyed making that post. LOL

What happened, did they split the party down a corridor, you are a benevolent GM. Ive been looking at some other tanky options I'll let you know tomorrow probably what I am thinking about. I was going to go fighter but I feel like I need to fill more than just the martial roll.

I like the fighter for the feats they get. The bard has a wand of CLW. He does not like to expend it as much as I would like to see. My cleric got onto him for that. And, I don't mind having her in the party. I'll let you guys decide that.

The skeletons were asleep and should have been left that way. There was a corridor with another set of skeletons still locked in, but they scratched you as you went by. And yes, they were separated by that corridor.

Benevolent? I think a PC should die when he is taking a risk or doing something stupid. I saved the party early on because I had put so much work into it. I like to stay well ahead of play and have everything ready so usually a copy/paste is all that is needed when the time comes. They were embarrassed. Three of them are GMs

The barbarian kept swinging when he should have been withdrawing. But, I had another target at the time. If death is not on the menu, it is not as much fun.

These are really good players. Rhen and Zevon are GMs as well.

I'll give them this link so you can all discuss everything. Might affect their level up decisions.

HP 65 l AC 21 [+2 vs Traps] (T 15 FF 16) l F +6 R +12 W +5 (+2 vs Poison/Magic) l Ini +45 Perc +10 (+3 to unusal stone/Traps)

Rhen Checking in, yes it was a bit of a stupid move, we aren't the most traditional party. Rhen will be picking up a decent bludgeoning weapon before leaving falcons hallow.

You may have Reinar's +1 adamantine hammer if you so wish. The party also earned Manfeller. Someone get that. Uthraed, it is a +1 human bane battleaxe. He also has mithral full plate. Cirthana or Uthraed could use that. I feel like I'm robbing the dead. She was my player, but it really belongs to the party.

I would rather not have Cirthana if you are on the fence. We have the wand and I think being conservative with it is reasonable. Zevon will continue to improve in healing as well. Rhen hit the nail on the head, we are not a conventional party. Remember, these characters are relatively new to adventuring, they will improve.

So here is the concept I am currently working with. Half Orc Battle Shaman2/Bloodrager1. I was going to go full bloodrager but all my ideas seemed like they leaned toward damage output and not taking/avoiding damage. I really like the battle shaman because of the extra AOO. I'll have to have make up 4 stat blocks that I can interchange Regular/Enlarged/Raging/Enlarged Raging.

I can't really use the plate but If y'all want I can work up someone who could, that's a pricey piece of armor.

The Battleaxe is sweet, but I saw your ranger using two handed so if he wants it then by all means he should take it.

Also thanks for bringing me on board, I hope I can help out on this next mission.

The party is now level three. All discussion is here. Any game play remains in Crown for now. I did note that random weather may be used from time to time going forward. You are in a temperate forest, the time of year is late sumer early fall.

HP 65 l AC 21 [+2 vs Traps] (T 15 FF 16) l F +6 R +12 W +5 (+2 vs Poison/Magic) l Ini +45 Perc +10 (+3 to unusal stone/Traps)

Bulgard is ranged, he likes his bow. Rhen likes to stabby stab, and be a jerk at times.

Male Half-Orc Shaman 3/Bloodrager 1 HP 53/53 AC: 24 TAC: 13 FF: 21 Saves: F:10 R:7 W:7 Init: +4 Per: +8 (Smogsight)

Here is Grokar he's not all the way finished up but the general outline is there. some changes that may still be made are weapons and armor and may drop a feat to pick up heavy armor proficiency. If I was going full bloodrager it wouldn't work becuase of casting but it doesn't adversely effect a shamans ability to cast.

Zevon has been leveled. Took Whip Mastery for my 3rd level feat and Extra performance for the bonus. I picked up Saving Finale as my new spell but may swap it out for Animate Rope if you think that will work on my whip.

What kind of scroll/wand options do we have in town? I may look at making some purchases.

Rules say nonliving rope-like. I see no problem there. Check any width or other modifiers that may interfere. I think you are good there as well.

Low market has some used wands with 10 charges. High market has wands with full charges.

How is your wand of CLW holding up? You should have lesser restore as well. Cirthana has a wand of CLW with a few charges left and can give it to Rhen as backup for when you die or fall off a cliff.

Grokar, you are looking very good. I like it.

Male Half-Orc Shaman 3/Bloodrager 1 HP 53/53 AC: 24 TAC: 13 FF: 21 Saves: F:10 R:7 W:7 Init: +4 Per: +8 (Smogsight)

What is this low market and High market? And can I get 2, 10 charge wands enlarge person and CLW. Also does anyone have input on the gear and me possibly taking heavy armor proficiency. I have a 3000 gp spending limit which is plenty but if I am picking up the armor or battleaxe that will significantly change what I do. Where did y'all get them from anyway? I'm planning on reading through your previous game but haven't had time yet.

We are in Falcon's Hollow. Those are the two markets in town. Yes, you can get any wand with 10 charges.

They got the weapons and armor in this last module. The axe was taken off the king. The armor was in a gelatinous cube. The +1 adamantine warhammer was taken off a very bad undead foe. That may be available to you.

I have been letting PCs keep what they acquire and use. Rather than keep up with all the other stuff, I assume you sell that and end up with the usual wealth for that next level.

I doubt anyone is interested in the armor, battleaxe, or hammer. The other players can verify that for you. Bulgard may be Sunday night posting at best, but I will see him over the weekend and give you his input.

The full plate will need to be refitted to you (400gp). You can roll 2d4x100 if you prefer. If you roll, that is the price.

Hmm, that's an interesting way to do it. So everyone has the gear that they have gathered plus the 3000 each for 3rd level?

Not that sweet. They got gp by class at level 1. I gave them 1000 at level 1, so they will get 2000 at level three. They don't have to keep up with everything and I don't have to make sure you find enough to get you to that magic number. If you find something nice and use it, it is yours. I don't mind doing it by the book. Gave them the choice and they preferred this.

Now, you are about to really benefit from that. Just spoke to Bulgard. The +1 human bane battleaxe, the +1 adamantine hammer, and the mithral full plate are all yours if you want them.

M Half Elf Arcane Healer Sound Striker Bard 3 | hp 30/30 | AC 18, T 13, FF 13 | F +3, R +6, W +2 | Init +5 | Per +5 | Performance Rounds: 9/16

I updated my CWL (40) and LR (9) wand charges on my profile. We are pretty good there.

I think I am going to stick with Saving Finale. I realized my Prehensile Whip trait lets me do just about everything the animate rope spell does.

I intend to buy:

3 scrolls of Weapon Wand- 150g
1 Wand Hideous Laughter (10)- 150g
1 Wand Shocking Grasp (10)- 150g (not on bard list, UMD DC 20 to use)

I am also going to get spring loaded wrist sheath ( http://www.d20pfsrd.com/equipment/weapons/weapon-and-armor-accessories/ ) for each arm to hold the two new wands.

I am not at all complaining, I mean how can I? Just trying to make sure I understand everything.

And good call on the wrist sheath I use them on almost all of my builds.

HP 65 l AC 21 [+2 vs Traps] (T 15 FF 16) l F +6 R +12 W +5 (+2 vs Poison/Magic) l Ini +45 Perc +10 (+3 to unusal stone/Traps)

Rhen bought a +1 chain shirt

I took an extra feat so I got 2 at 3rd, I took Dirty Fighting and Imp Dirty Trick just for some fun and good ways for Rhen to hamper enemies.

Bulgard has a very busy weekend. I leveled him up. +1 chain shirt, +1 to dex, dodge, and +1 cold Iron Masterwork Greatsword. He still has work to on inventory, but he is ready to go. Feel free to start game play.

That is a pretty cool thing about PCGen, I was able to update his character and email him the updated character. Oh no, I said the word. Oh well, I hope Nylanfs is doing well. Guess we will know soon enough. LOL. Should have said " beetlejuice, beetlejuice, beetlejuice."

How much time has passed since we returned to town?

Eight days from Sitting Duck until Sharvaros.

Looks like I'll be picking up that heavy armor proficiency after all. And the gambler in me wants to roll for it but I think I will just go with the 400gp refitting. I did want to ask if there was any way to pay to reforge the warhammer into a Bec de Corbin. That way I wouldn't have to carry around 3 weapons, and the Bec de Corbin is pretty close to a warhammer. I should have a complete crunch up by this afternoon when I get off work. As for a background, I know who I want him to be for the most part but do you have any ideas on how Grokar got involved with this group, or how he has come to be wearing their armor?

-Posted with Wayfinder

I think 1,500 gold is a fair price to reforge an adamantine weapon. Let's wave over how you got the armor and roll play the party introduction. Does that work for you?

Male Half-Orc Shaman 3/Bloodrager 1 HP 53/53 AC: 24 TAC: 13 FF: 21 Saves: F:10 R:7 W:7 Init: +4 Per: +8 (Smogsight)

That works great. And while that is a significant chunk of my change I think its probably worth it. I like the wall y'all are doing loot. It makes sense

Okay I believe that I am finished. I purchased a +1 on the Plate armor for 1000, a 10 charge CLW and a 10 Charge Enlarge Person, then the reforging of the hammer for 1500. Those were the major purchases.

Major changes Feats took heavy Armor Proficiency and Dodge instead of what I had giving me a boost to AC and only 2 AOO's instead of 4.

I changed my traits to something a bit more suitable. I took the Gorum trait instead of some +2 init trait because I like the flavor it adds.

At the bottom of my sheet I wrote up a few stat blocks for my various forms.

Oh and I changed my picture.

Let me know if anything is wrong or needs to be changed. I am reading through the adventure thus far so that I can have a better idea of what has happened and who everyone is.

What a beast. That is a great build The AC says 23 above your avatar.

So I wanted to let you know that I took off the +1 from my armor. I realized that I hadn't payed the refitting cost for it and no longer could afford the +1. Also I noticed that y'all track time of day and fatigue from travel really stringently but not food and water should I not worry to much about those things?

-Posted with Wayfinder

Good observations. I try to ballpark the food. Have enough trail rations and done deal.

Grokar, are you familiar with this type of battle map? You should be able to move your token easily. I understand phones do not do that so well. I am glad to move the tokens for phone users.

I am and I am on my phone, I didn't even try because usually I end up moving the entire map. When I am at a computer I will move my own token but I wanted to make a post and didn't want to wait until I got home.

I have been doing all my posting from my phone so I still haven't gotten to a PC to finish my level up and inventory. I'm hoping to find a moment to get that done tonight.

Grokar, I'm really new to all this so I mostly just do what the DM or experienced PCs tell me to do- sometimes to my own folly.

Bulgard and Zevon will be making a 170 mile journey on a desolate river this weekend. They will have no cell signal most of the time and when they do, I doubt this pbp will be their first priority. If they survive, they will be returning Monday. They could easily die with the slightest error in judgment. The river is narrow, winding, and has barge traffic on that run. The first cold snap is arriving and the fog will be dense. They would not be the first vessel reduced to a stain on the bottom of that river due to fog.

I am not going to bot them as I normally would. I plan to test the new leveled up party to the fullest extent of these feys' capabilities. Yeah, I will do my best to kill you. So, let's work with their ability to post.

On the happy side, I might need to take care of their wives if they do not return.

Bulgard, what did you teach the fox to do when he seeks and finds something?

They will be leaving mile marker 216 (from the coast) headed to mile marker 389. The amount of beer consumed in years past was unbelievable. I have asked for that number and will keep you posted.

They started out with 400 beers. They should have an opportunity to restock tomorrow if necessary.
