Really tempted to switch Kyra to a war priest...I made her before they new advanced classes were released...

I'm going to remove Tchirash from contention.

Spooks, if I try to apply with a Warpriest of Desna, I have to relinquish Kyra's place on the current list, right? Sort of debating going with Kyra or making a warpriest ATM.

I agree on the lifespan issue, especially when dealing with demon born, the natural chaos should screw with their lifespan big time, just makes sense to me.

I'd like to submit Jenael Autumnhorn for the campaign.

background:

Jenael Autumnhorn is touched by her parents forays into the Worldwound. That is easy to see. But not touched in the way that people would expect. If she were born with horns and hooves, perhaps a tail, nobody would be surprised. After all, her parents took on the most dangerous missions into the Worldwound, and all those infernal energies must have effected the couple in some way. The unborn child may have been in the womb for a few, before her parents realized the mother was pregnant. No, the surprise comes from the fact that Jenael was born with a runic butterfly birthmark, almost resembling a tattoo more than a birthmark, directly over her heart. The mark, often referred to as "Desna's Kiss" is not the only thing remarking her celestially touched blood. Jenael's hair is the black velvet of a starless night, but in dim light or darkness, pinpoints of light shine through, often resembling the starscape. Her dark blue eyes display her touched bloodline too. At night, in the dark, when they reflect light, they reflect the phase of the moon briefly.

Jenael's life was not always blessed though. She was orphaned at little older than a month. Her parents went on another desperate mission for the crusades, and disappeared. Nobody has been able to find a trace of them for 22 years. Jenael, raised by caretakers close to the crusaders, knows of their sacrifice, and knows in her heart that they are gone, but still used their disappearance to fuel her thirst for knowledge and magic, in order to divine where they are, or at the very least the knowledge that their souls rest at peace somewhere. This thirst for knowledge made her a scholar on things arcane, and other planed, and lead her to the knowledge that the creature that caused her parents disappearance and probable demise still lives somewhere in the Worldwound, or beyond it in the Abyss. For this reason, she studied everything she could regarding magic in Kenabres, and seeks out any Wizard or Sorcerer that joins the crusades. Someday she'll come to power that will allow her to find that fiend, and lay to rest the memories of her parents...

Thanks Spooky.
I've thought about this a lot and I have decided you're right. It seems like a good character concept for a live-action tabletop or a late game WotR.

That said, I would love to get in on this game. I hope you're okay if I submit another character.

Oof it's going to be difficult to beat Jenael's backstory.

I haven't heard yet whether a Catfolk will be acceptable, but I'll post the character information here. If a Catfolk would be okay, I'll write out a backstory and maybe make an alias.

Child of the Crusade (Ex) Several generations of Loric's family have served in the crusades, and the righteousness of their cause sometimes feels like it runs in his very blood, hardening him against demonic influence. He's heard many tales of their bravery, and his strong family ties bolster his mind and sense of belonging to the crusade. Once per day when he fails a saving throw against an effect created by a demon which would possess or mentally incapacitate him, he may immediately reroll that saving throw as a free action. He must take the second result, even if it is worse.

Child of the Temple (Ex) Loric has long served at a temple in a large city, picking up on many of the nobility's customs while also spending many hours in the temple libraries studying his faith. As a result, he gains a +1 trait bonus on Knowledge (nobility) and Knowledge (religion) checks, and Knowledge (religion) is always a class skill for him.

Dual Talent (Ex) Loric’s family has always excelled at maximizing their natural gifts. Unlike a typical human, he picks two ability scores to gain a +2 racial bonus. This human racial trait replaces the normal +2 bonus to any single ability score, the bonus feat for being a human, and the skilled trait.

Background:
The youngest son of a noble family in Taldor, Loric Solnebren (LOR-ick SOHLN-brin) comes from a long tradition of serving in the crusades. He and his brother both sought to honor their ancestors by joining the holy templars of Iomedae and marching to war in the Worldwound. While there, they expected to distinguish themselves so one of them could gain their father's blessing and inherit the family's holdings upon his passing. Yet, the templars chose only his brother to join their ranks, and Loric's exclusion caused a jealous rift between them. Forced to watch his sibling march north three years ago, Loric turned to alternate methods in an effort to follow and upstage him. Eventually, he found such a means through the declining priesthood of Aroden, the dead god of humanity. A once powerful force in containing the rise of demon cults in the north, the organization recognized his useful, if somewhat morally ambiguous, talents and gladly welcomed and sponsored Loric, sending him to the crusades as their sanctified agent.

Once he reached the front lines, Loric established himself as a member of an exclusive and secretive group of spies and operatives working to safeguard the sanctity of crusade. Prepared to cull anyone who falters in their devotion—or who succumbs to demonic temptation — he keeps a watchful eye for enemies both within and beyond the crusader ranks.

At times, this role puts him in contention with his brother. The two have reached an uneasy truce at best, keeping a watchful eye on one another as they carry out their respective duties. At the same time, Loric is still beholden to his sponsors within the church of Aroden. Though he has his own reasons for fighting in the Worldwound, Loric's masters occasionally assign him missions, as well — mostly to seek out and return various artifacts, insights, and lore linked to their god. While these assignments certainly help the crusade, they're also meant to increase the prominence of their faith back to the heights it once knew.

Physical Description:
Loric wears stylish, dark gray, studded leather armor provided by the church, overlaid by a black tabard with gold trim depicting a downward-pointed longsword on his chest and a single, four-pointed star to its left. His weapons include a double-edge shortsword, dagger, and shortbow with a full quiver of arrows. He's tall and agile with sharp muscle definition honed through combat and rigorous exercise. His hair is dark and shoulder-length, but his face remains clean-shaven. At the age of 19, he stands 5-feet, 11-inches tall and weighs 170 lbs.

Personality:
Loric has a quiet, focused demeanor about him, as if judging those around him while calculating his odds and next steps for engaging them (whether verbally or in battle). He's a man of action and his poised body posture belies that to anyone with the good judgment to notice. He takes an active interest in circumstances others may miss, ever watchful for demonic aggression as well as corruption and betrayal from within the crusader ranks. Studious and always prepared, he prides himself on making a difference in ways others can't, working outside the chain of command, if necessary, and asking forgiveness later.

RP Possibilities:
Loric’s association with Aroden's church puts him at odds with some crusaders. Those who honor his faith's history of combating demon cults openly accept his involvement, while others view his presence among them with curiosity and distrust — believing his faith should have turned to the Iomedae when she welcomed his clergy into her fold. No one feels this more strongly than Loric’s own brother and their differing opinions have led to no small amount of arguments and tension between them.

I've left the identity of Loric's brother some what vague, as I think the conflict there could achieve maximum impact if it were another player. If you wish, Spooky, I could flesh this out better.

Part of Loric’s charge as a sanctified rogue for his sect of the Aroden's church should involve secret assignments, meetings, and messages outside the normal chain of command. While these activities mostly focus on feeding information back to his superiors, there’s also an element of spying on his fellow crusaders and carrying out tasks which the more pious paladins and inquisitors might otherwise consider forbidden. Though this role puts him at odds with some of his fellow companions, he always believes the ends justify the means, and he serves his distant masters with the same unquestioned zeal as a devout paladin.

Aside from the normal tasks of a crusader, Loric’s priesthood may also assign him tasks to retrieve ancient relics and divine magic associated with the Aroden. These items could help the crusade, but might also shore up his temple's declining influence in the absence of their deceased god.

Other Random Bits:
Loric's role in the party would be very "jack of all trades." He has an eclectic mix of skills and I could add some levels of fighter down the road to make him more formidable in combat.

As far as Prestige Classes go, I might consider the Aspis Agent, refluffed to represent some sort of spy, or the Noble Scion.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Dang, I have competition all of a sudden.

*Edit

I tweaked Indrana's back story and appearance a bit, and added sections on rp possibilities and personality in the alias.

In the hopes you'll say yes, here is Mekel.
Mekel has been through the first couple of encounters in a previous WotR game.

Mekel is a Riftwarden Orphan (Archmnage)

Mekel has been living in Kenabres since the Worldwound opened 90 years ago, when his parents joined the crusade from the fight against Treerazor. He is a devotee of Abadar and a member of the guard. He considers himself a failed apprentice, but all he really needs is confidence, practice and a challenge.

An excellent archer Mekel can hold his own in (ranged) combat. A lifetime spent reading has left him with a breathtaking breadth of experience.

Appearance:

Hung is 6' 2" 240lbs of bone and muscle. He is of light green complexion with a startlingly human looking face. With the exception of his large protruding K-nines, his looks are indeed quite fair, almost Elven. His graceful yet strong feature are one of many things women loved about him. Unlike most Monks, who shave their heads Hung wears his hair in a long que(a partially shaved head with a long pony tail). Another thing women loved about Hung and probably the thing that made him such a good fighter was his body. Hung was not quite neither was he bulky, with wide shoulder but not disproportionately so compared to the rest of the body. This gives him maximum agility without sacrificing all of his strength.

Character Backstory:

Born to a roving band of Orcs from an Orc male Cleric of Nulgreth and a female Prostitute of Calastria. Hung had a privilege position in his clan. Although some distained him this was tempered if not eliminated by the fact that he excelled at martial combat. This combined with the fact that women loved him for his massive member, made him the prince of his clan. Until that fateful day when on a raid all of his clan with the exception of himself were by a demon. He was only saved by his extraordinary martial skill an d a band of paladins of Iomedae. Upon finding himself alone, without a tribe craving to belong he begged the Paladins to let him join them, they scoffed and dismissed his please.

Alone he sought out his only family his mother a prostitute of Calastria. After finding and begging her to take him in she accepts, and puts him to work. He excels at being a prostitute despite his young age of 13 and women of all ages pay a fortune to have him. He becomes some what famous for his enthusiasm to please and his massive member. However after 5 years of bliss and fame in the company of his mother, she too dies, of a wasting disease.

Remembering the paladins who slew his clan he travels to the city of Absalom and starts his training as a paladin of Iomedae. During his tenure he spends much of his time training in the Irorium with the high priestess Ysai Iron-Palm. She becomes like a second mother to him and often asks him questions to guide his personal development. Upon his graduation at the age of 20, Ysai asks him why he chose Iomedae as his patron deity. For this Hung relates the story of the destruction of his clan, and how he saw the power, the righteousness, and most importantly the brotherhood of the paladins and the desire it kindled inside of him. That at that moment he knew he wanted to be a Paladin, he wanted to belong, he wanted purpose, and he wanted righteous vengeance on all demon kind. To this Ysai responded “one out of three could be worse.” She goes on to elaborate saying that “one should not worship Iomedae with vengeance in his heart. And should not become a paladin for power, glory, or vengeance. For these often lead ones path into the darkness. Instead if one wishes to serve as a paladin of Iomedae they should for the good of all, for justice, and righteousness, and NOT without mercy for redemption is within all of us.” Hung responds to this by saying “But I wish to be the best, to be loved by all, accepted and validated. To win glory for my family for my people for my god. Are you going to tell me these too are wrong?” To this Ysai answers “Only some. For the truth is not in others or their validation, but in yourself and your own achievement” Hung replies “But how?, Why?” Ysai smiles and says “that is what we are hear for that is what my god stands for self perfection, and those who seek the true path, their own. We who worship Irori are such individuals and I see that potential in you.” Instead of leaving for the world wound with the rest of his classmates Hung instead stays and trains in the ways of Irori and after a year leaves to join his compatriots in the city of Kenabres as a one of the few paladins of Irori.

Okay, as I mentioned earlier I decided to change direction from what I thought I would submit to this character, instead. Salomae Amsel, arcanist and someday archmage checking in. Everything should be in the profile (which is recycled) but let me know if there's anything that I need to change or clarify.

Since it's relevant to an idea I had concerning her having a familiar, would you allow the Improved Familiar feat to 'reflavor' or 'transform' a familiar instead of totally replacing the old one for a new one? If not, that's more than okay though I'll likely drop the familiar for a different exploit if that turns out to be the case :)

@Harakani: Yeah, go for it.

@Avoron: Catfolk are allowed, you just need to have some kind of backstory reason for why a Catfolk would be in Mendev and presumably involved in demon killing. Not sure if you have Alken built for a previous, unrelated game or not, but when you apply be sure to change one of his traits to one of the six campaign traits.

@Salomae: Sure, I'd allow that.

Working on bio/sheet right now!

Going to attempt to apply as an Aasimar Flying Blade of Desna, Trickster Path. 'w'

Leaving the cosmetics/SLA to fate...

Aasimar SLA: 1d100 ⇒ 40
Aasimar Cosmetics: 3d100 ⇒ (13, 71, 44) = 128

Edit: Do I reroll the SLA since it landed on Int +2?

If so...
SLA Reroll: 1d100 ⇒ 2

Wow, nice rolls! Looks like you'll be a very distinctive character :3

Well, I rerolled the SLA in case the +2 INT rolled randomly isn't okay. =P The cosmetics are nice, though the way we usually do it is rolling three and picking one...And in that case, it's either the butterfly wings or the halo. I think I'll take the butterfly wings, what with worshiping Desna and all that.

The +2 Int is fine; it's not choosable from the list, but if you roll it, you get it. That way there is a chance if you're lucky, but not just the option to take the stricly optimal one.

And as far as I'm concerned you can take like ten off the cosmetics list if you feel like it, so your call on that.

=P Also, just realized Aasimar have no FC bonus for Swashbuckler, which is something of a disappointment. C'est la vie, I'll just take another +1 HP per level.~

I'm working on a Emberkin Arcanist (Blade Adept). I hope to have it done by Sunday, but we'll see. Been a pretty busy week at work.

I'll go ahead and roll for the SLA replacement now.

1d100 ⇒ 50

Jenael's personality:
Jenael's pesonality, which flavors how she's RP'd is one of peace and calm. This can make her come across as naive at times, since she tries to give any creature the benefit of the doubt, and believes that most can be forgiven, and redeemed. But her optimism can be deceiving. If a being proves that they are beyond redemption, her fury can be remarkable, and she will see that truly evil beings are given no quarter.

As an Arcanist and a scholar, she takes a moment, usually, to weigh the facts before making a decision, but once the decision is made, actions to bring about that decision are usually swift, and generally for the greater good.

She also realizes that she has been gifted with abilities both born, and earned through study, that set her apart from many others, but also realizes that those abilities come with an onus. She needs to use those abilities to help others, who might not otherwise be able to help themselves. Whether that takes the form of crusading against evil, or simply using her magic to help repair a person's home, she believes that her gifts are meant to be shared, not hoarded away or used to lord over people.

In personal interaction, Jenael can come off as aloof or disaffected, but cares deeply about those close to her, and will fight fiercely should any of them be harmed or threatened. She has trouble getting close to anyone, especially given that she never knew her true parents, and grew up in fosterage, where "brothers and sisters" were transient. Also, the suspicion that she is long lived makes her hesitant to form close bonds with anyone that is not. Once beyond that initial hesitation though, she is a warm person, with a quick wit.

Checking to see what I'll get. Looking at periblooded aasimar sorcerer 1, arcanist everything else. :)
Aasimar: 1d100 ⇒ 38
Hmm. Interesting, but not really something that fully fits. And feels pretty weak.

At this point the roll is basically "try to get the +2 ability score or choose something that isn't quite so useless". Because wow yeah that's kind of crappy. Hell, auto-stabilization is something you get at your very first Mythic tier by default.

I didn't roll on the chart since I was swapping out so many Aasimar traits anyway. I almost went for Halo instead of Darkvision but that seemed a bit much when combined with Celestial Crusadar and Incorruptible haha. Though if you're going to go with a full on Holy Avenger type character this is the AP for it.

Silver Crusade

Taking the Halo in lieu of darkvision is almost a pure downgrade. Didn't stop me for a nanosecond though! I love my halo. :D

It also fits with Anarya's theme. She plays up the "Scion of Humanity" aspect hard. There's really no way to tell she's an Aasimar without advanced magic - even she has no idea. She's just a human with some celestial gifts, which seem no different to her from her Oracle powers.

I'm picking a mix between combat and flavor, honestly. Still a bit annoyed that Point-Blank Shot is such a feat tax for so many things, though. Blargh!

Also, since the cosmetics don't matter too much, Spooky, I'm going to combine the butterfly wings with a sort of altered prismatic wings, if that's okay? It's a sort of mood-ring deal, but...kind of different. Most of the time, it's more of an aurora effect, though.

I actually feel the halo is an upgrade in many ways. You get to be treated as a torch by your party. If your halo affects one other person, it results in equivalent exchange. If you help more folks, even better.

Plus Intimidate is one of the best free combat actions in the game. Being able to do it at +2 to demons at will should come in really handy in this AP. Especially for a high CHA character like yours.

And there I go, advocating for a competitor to my slot!

Free? For anyone not specially built for it, it's a standard action.

Aw ;x

Honestly, I don't know how I feel about applying for Trickster. It's obviously the best spot to apply for this character, but there's a Bard to potentially lose. ;_;

Whoops, I always thought it was same as speech.

Managed to draft out this idea for a trickster. By Sunday it should be a bit more polished but you should get the idea from this profile.

Cheers

Should be done this sheet tonight. After that, it's just a matter of uploading it to G-Docs and copying it over properly to the alias profile here. By the way...Reinforced Scarf is surprisingly awesome. I don't know why I didn't notice it before.

Trickster:
-Indrana, Tiefling Bard
-Loric Solnebren, Human Rogue (Sanctified)
-Milhar Korashi, Elven Rogue

Well look at that. Everything evened out, as expected. Even still, due to the parameters I'm recruiting by, I will allow people to either let one character be submitted for two different paths, or to submit two different characters. But not both.

Based on that, as much as it doesn't put him in an empty category, Vardan's personality would work well either as a Marshall (current choice) or Guardian.

I'll submit Elmae as either Champion or Trickster, then. ^^

(Also, Kyra needs to be removed from the list, Spooks.)

Whoops, right. Kyra's been nixed. Back in top shambling human mess form.

It's fine, just glad to see ya back. =P
At work right now, so since I don't have PDF access here, I'll start typing up her backstory.

I'd be fine with Carious being up for hierophant or champion.

I'll stick with Cinna just being a champion, as writing in one of the other traits would be hard. She might dual path later.

In order to get ages right, what year are we setting this in?

Sorry, I forgot about the traits. I'll take Stolen Fury instead of Axe to Grind. Champion would be best for him, but Guardian would work too.

Backstory:

Impulsive. That's what they called Alken, others in his town of humans and catfolk. For good reason, of course. He was impulsive, and very.

Impulsive, just like his parents. That's why they got involved with those strange cultists from another land. If they hadn't been so impulsive, maybe he would have been able to know them, grow up with them. Instead, nobody even knows if they are alive. If they hadn't been so impulsive, maybe Alken wouldn't have been drawn into the mess, and at such a young age. He wouldn't have been put through the ordeal of whatever ritual went on within their halls. Wouldn't have been found two days later by the side of the road, with only vague memories of what happened.

"Impulsive?" his aunt once said to him. "Hah! Your mothers family has always been more than impulsive. Fey-touched, that's what I've heard. But your father didn't think of that before he married her, did he?"

Impulsive, as his tribe's librarian called him when he asked about books on demons. "You're problem is that you don't think before you act. How could you become involved in something like that in these delicate times, especially with your history? Don't you know what people will think?" It didn't matter. He took the books anyway. There were more important things to care about.

"Impulsive" was what the rumors said, about his actions on the day he was banned from the temple of Shelyn he had attended for years. "We have many concerns right now," the human priest had told him, "and the last thing we need is to be associated with someone, well, someone like..." Alken didn't know how he was going to finish the sentence, but he didn't wait to find out. He slid out his claws and slashed, smashing apart stained glass windows in a dazzling flash of color and light. He ripped the door off of its hinges and charged into the morning. He was furious, but fought to control himself and focus on what was right. What was good. What mattered.

Impulsive. That was what they called Alken, those people with whom he had once shared a town. Impulsive, like when he sold everything he owned for some weapons and ship's passage, before leaving that same day for a nearby port city. Like when he set sail for what he was sure was right and never looked back.

Yes. Impulsive.

Two for the price of one! My friend and I are applying together, going for Archmage(Calder) and Trickster(Kaylee). Hopefully that's not too much of a problem! :)
Url: Calder Fable
Race: Emberkin (Periblooded; fallen angels who rose to be something more)
Class: Sorcerer 1(Wildblooded, Celestial/Abyssal), Arcanist (Unlettered) Everything else.
Traits: Riftwarden, Magical Knack(Arcanist)
Feats: Spell Focus(Conjuration)

Background:

Being an orphan in Kenabres didn't make you special, having parents is what made you special. Calder joined Kaylee's family shortly before their parents moved off for another mission. It was always 'just one more'. But... they never came back. Calder was young, so their loss didn't affect her nearly as much as it affected Kaylee. Only a year later, after their parents headed into the Worldwound a soldier returned to the pair, bearing a book, scarred with fire, and a sword, broken. He placed them at Kaylee's feet without a word, before moving on.

It wasn't for years that Calder even got a real sense for what it was that her older sister was going through. She understood how terrible it was to not have parents, especially for Kaylee, but she didn't truly feel the way that Kaylee did. She understood that it wasn't at all unusual to not have parents. Yet Kaylee fought day in and day out to prove that they were alive, and vowed to bring them home. And that was what made Kaylee special. She had parents.

The two were inseparable in their youth. While Kaylee cursed the woman who lead her back home when she tried to help her parents, Calder was secretly thankful. If Kaylee had gone, Calder would have been alone... and Calder didn't want to be alone. Certainly, there were other children. And there was their grandmother... but it wasn't the same. Kaylee made it easier to be a good person, because Calder just wanted to make her happy and she -was- a good person. And so it was that Kaylee's obsession became Calder's. Calder didn't believe that their parents were alive, but there was no way she'd tell Kaylee that.

So, Calder began watching the others train and prepare. She wasn't built to be a fighter, that was obvious. But not everyone was a fighter. Some supported. Some sang ot boost morale. Some cast dangerously powerful spells. Others studied. Calder was an avid reader... and that meant that she was more than happy to read all sorts of books, learning everything she could to aid her sister in her eventual crusade. Finally she came to the book that had been left by their parents. It was in a language Calder had never read before. It was impossible to understand. She determined that it must be a spellbook, especially given the latter pages were filled with diagrams and formulae... for what she didn't know.

It would take a decade for Calder to decode the book. A decade that slowly but surely filled with twists and turns. The Crusades were over, but there was always talk of the danger that another assault could bring. There were more children than there were adults... and there was always dread, because of the abysmal failure of the previous crusade. Worse... Calder's mind was not always her own. Her thoughts would occasionally veer off into paths she knew she wouldn't think... but she mostly managed to keep her mind on the proper tasks. It was written in a combination of languages, effectively a cipher. It wasn't a spellbook at all, but a diary. The book detailed very little of the mundane, but had a few references to something called 'The Riftwardens'... and detailed in a few scant paragraphs where Calder was from. She wasn't a real Fable. She'd been fostered. She was a rare creature... which was easy to understand due to the fact that she'd studied the planes. She was something called an Aasimar... she'd had her doubts, given the thoughts she'd been having. But there was more. She was a rare breed. She was of the Emberkin variety, descended from the Peri, a race that had grown from fallen angels into something greater. Apparently she had been born inside of the Worldwound and something of that place tainted her. What was more, the swirling pattern on her side that marked her was known as a Seeker's Spiral. As for what was in the back of the book? It was something that would help to quiet the voices... to temper her wild bloodline into something stronger. Something better...

But preparations were needed to perform the ritual, she would have to be tested to ensure that she could survive it; if she weren't strong enough, it may lead to more terrible things for her. And so, Kaylee's quest stayed Calder's quest... even though she was no longer searching for her parents. She was now looking for who she truly was, and who she was truly meant to be.

Description:
Calder is a tiny slip of a girl, with hair so dark it looks exotic. Even more exotic are her honey-colored eyes and pale skin. There's very little to do inside, unless you're a bookworm, which leads to tans being exceptionally common for people of her age. On the bright side, Calder is a bookworm, so her light complexion has mostly escaped the possibilities of sunburns.

Lacking in strength, the girl often uses her small collection of spells to do things for her... which only exacerbates her obvious weakness. She wears a silken ceremonial robe that seems to change colors from day to day, though in the early mornings one can easily see that it is a black that matches her hair. Day or night, the armor is embroidered with a moth pattern. Her belt is laden with pouches, despite a lack of need for most material components, and she carries a small knapsack over her shoulder. The knapsack contains a single book, scarred, weathered, and heavily read, full of small jots of script in the margins in Calder's handwriting.

She carries three small blades on her person, barely worth mentioning, though they've each been etched, rather unexpertly, with runes and sigils in a blend of languages (Sylvan, Celestial and Draconic). Her hair always seems to somehow have a bit of feathered plumage tucked into it, through no fault of her own, and seems to catch a breeze even when there isn't one. Perhaps one of the largest benefits of her recent awakening as an Emberkin is that the plumage in her hair glows vividly in the dark, as if the feathers were made of light. Useful for a reader, less useful for the others who are trying to sleep.

Personality:
Calder is quick to react, usually using her intelligence, charm, and grace to try to handle any situation she runs into. Where those don't have a positive impact, she turns to magic... or her sister, who more often than not is capable of digging her out of a bind. She's fiercely loyal to her sister, though isn't afraid to correct her, so long as it doesn't impact the girl's happiness. She's more than happy to aid others, believing now, more than ever, that her powers must be used for good. Anything else risks losing herself.

She wears her heart on her sleeve, and isn't afraid to raise her voice when angered. As a point of fact, threatening her sister is a sure way to bring out a darker side of Calder. Over time, that may well grow to affect the entire party. Being descended from fallen angels puts her on the cusp of falling herself; she's more than a little aware of what temptations evil has to offer, and would be more than capable... once she has grounded herself, of trying to guide another into the light.

The path canonically takes place in 4712, I believe.

Elmae Valmia- Azata-Blooded Aasimar Flying Blade

I'll type it out/transfer it to the alias page tomorrow. It's about 2 in the morning and I'm so tired. ;w; (Links to the Google-Doc version of the uploaded character sheet, btw.)

Edit: Just noticed I still have 5 rations listed. There should only be four, to match the four pounds. =P

Quote:
Please provide a backstory, explaining your character's history, personality, and motivation, as well as a short rundown of your character's general gameplay roll, and any prestige classes you may be considering.

I realised I had buried a lot of this inside a lot of text, or implied it indirectly, so am breaking it down explicitly and succinctly

history:

Born in Kyonin.
Moved to the Worldwound in the initial fight as an infant
Parents vanished in the Worldwound.
Bought up by uncle and his wife.
Uncle spent years teaching elven wizardry (in a sort of karate kid miyamoto way)
Uncle vanished in the Worldwound.
Aunt persecuted for being different
Joined Abadar church for protection (at least their inquisitors required evidence)
Became a member of a part-time (Abadarian) militia Guard
Trained as a dwarven wizard.
Conflicting trainings left him a poor wizard and considers himself a failed apprentice. Whenever he tries to do wizardry he goes down the Dwarven route and falls over.
Became a full time guard.

personality and motivation:

Lacking in self-confidence
Lawful Good; joined Abadar as a reaction the witch-hunts. Doesn't like the LN nature of Abadar and considers it a bit cold.
Comes across as young.
Family oriented
Hates the worldwound
Believing he has little power his current motivation is to defend Kenabres and help ensure there are no witch hunts.
If he gets power he'll probably head out to (die in) the Worldwound like his uncle and parents. Someone has to stop this thing.

gameplay role:

Early game: Competent archer with utility spell backup. Knowledge expert.
I expect that as we level up the archery will be less useful and the spells will become more useful. I expect at some point he'll transition to ray attacks.
Early mythic on Arcane Strike, additional dexterity bonuses and Mythic Spells

Prestige Classes:

Boy am I tempted by Arcane Archer... but I have this theory that Mythic allows a full caster class to occasionally be useful in combat using a weapon (limited use gish).

refluffing:

I'd like to run Mekel as a naturally incredibly talented wizard whose got a block. As such I'd like to have as many of his spells as possible as "powered up minor spells". The sort of thing where Telekinesis is a really good mage hand, or ablative barrier is a better mage armour. Don't actually think this'll have nay game effect beyond my choice of what spells I pick up.

dilemma:

I am tempted by Arcane Bond (Longbow) just so he gets the concentration penalty for not having it out (as a way of explaining why he thinks he is no good). On the other hand, familiars are brilliant for allowing internal dialogue to become external dialogue.

@Mekel: By using polymorph effects, a Caster (with the archmage role) is perfectly capable of sustaining a full base attack bonus. You'll not have the class features to fully back it up, of course, but with just second level spells, you can have 4 minutes or more of Full BAB at a time using alter self. Ditto with spells like beast shape with second level spells... and so on. Just takes one path ability, though I don't recall what tier that is. :)

Why am I under Hierophant shouldn't I be under Marshal or Champion?

How exactly are you classifying us?

You chose the Hierophant trait. :)

Though, unless I'm confused, you also have one-too-many traits. Is it two + campaign trait, or two total?
