The Denizen throws back its robes and reveals wicked, hooked claws and equally fearsome teeth.
It lashes out at Shanya, laying into the changeling. Her luck is quite remarkable, though, and it misses thrice
Shanya is shocked out of her terrified stupor by the... abomination's... horrible aim.
"AAACK!"
Lana focuses her attention on her comrades, willing them to remain strong.

Tiknesr twitches his nose at the two foes and singsongs, "Ear of boar and fart of mule / See star slavers drool like fools.", sending a cloud of malaise over both foes.
"Heheheheh hee hee hee ho ho ho ho! Oh I crack myself up sometimes!"
Winking to his companions, he says, "The rhymes aren't strictly necessary, you know? But I feel like it's so much more stylish this way. And really, what's not funny about mule farts?! Pbbbttthft! Ha ha ha ha hee."
Sven's unluckly blows fail to pierce the thick armor of the moon beast. It makes a sound in Sven's head like a disapproving father clicking his tongue at a wayward child - odd only in that it has no tongue in its gaping maw.
The denizen seems shaken - by Tiknesr's humor, as well as his hex.
Shanya keeps her eyes on the Denizen as she maneuvers her rapier to what she thinks is a weak spot...
Avora considers the thing before her and begins the rhythmic chanting of a spell.
Shanya's blade bounces off the creatures thick skin. The worg paces out of sight, unable to get into the room through the crowd.
The moon beast steps back and swings its tentacles menacingly - a wave of confusion washes over the group!

For a moment, it seems as though Avora might be overcome, but she resists!
Kalt continues to swing his sword at the bizarre beast, cutting it deeply once, then throwing himself off-balance as he pulls his blade free of its moony hide! He swings again, ineffectually.
Tiknesr is about to try to cast a spell when suddenly everything seems...different.
He begins to singsong (suddenly oblivious to everyone else). ”Eye of ewe...and you and yew and whooooo-dittlety doo-doo. Heeheehee, I said 'doo-doo’. Doo Doo Monkey Poo, smear it on your mommy's shoe. Heeheehee!”
The rat man starts gleefully trying to pull his left foot up to his mouth.
Shanya feels a burning sensation on her skin as the... thing man was not meant to know tries to work some sort of eldritch magic upon her. She looks around at the rest of the party, and cringes when she sees that some of them have succumbed.
...AGAIN?!
She lets out a sigh of exasperation before turning back to the Denizen and stabbing anew...
Kalt lands a solid blow to the beast while Shanya just barely fails to pierce the thick skin of the denizen. It seems, however, that the creature has other things on its mind - it babbles incoherently, apparently affected by the magic of moon beast just as readily as the heroes.
As Avora finishes her spell, there is a flash of light and next to Kalt her stands a mighty behemoth. Fully 30 feet in length, it resembles a turtle covered in bony plates and spikes, with a huge knob on the end of it's tail! It sounds an angry cry and Avora directs it towards the foe.

Lana frowns slightly as she realizes that the enemy has swapped life-force with her. Balling her gloved hand into a fist, she attempts to drive out the foe!
Lana playfully slaps herself across the face with withered hands, while the ratfolk's murine babbling echoes through the room.
The ankylosaurus summoned by Avora is a mighty beast, but even it's great strength seems to have trouble piercing the thick armor of the moonbeast - this time!
Avora then casts another spell, stretching out her hand to touch the moon beast.
If the touch is successful, the moonbeast is poisoned and takes 1d3 Con damage each round (DC 17 Fort save negates) for 6 rounds.
Avora's magic sparks for a moment against the magical defenses of the tentacled horror, but manages to pierce its defenses. Still she has ill-fortune - the creature to ignore the poison that would kill a man.
Sven's axe, however, proves adequately lethal where magic fails - he leaves a deep gash in the creature's hide! At this point a black ichor of sorts begins to flow freely from the creature's wounds.
The moon beast splits its attention between Sven and Kalt, lashing out at both. The tentacles prove particularly deadly - two tentacles lash painfully across Kalt's skin; where they touch, the flesh withers away, resulting in a pain that sears into Kalt's soul and mind.
Meanwhile, a claw and another tentacle wound Sven, dealing the paladin serious wounds as well.
Shanya stabs with renewed vigour...
...then aims for the Denizen's neck and stabs!
And misses completely. "Dammit!"
Kalt's mind is scarred by the moon beast's awful attack, but his instincts remain strong! He focuses on the creature a moment, studying it for any areas of weakness, thinking as he does of Shanya's skill at just such a tactic. He shakes his head and forces his befuddled senses to focus on the task at hand, rather than the bewitching beauty across the room. Raising his blade and swinging for all he's worth, he strikes twice at the moon beast!
With nothing but his feral instincts to guide him, Kalt suddenly turns the tide on the moon beast. The great-sword lays into the beast twice and sends ichor fountaining - it shuddes and slumps to the ground, strangely emitting a girlish laugh as it does so.
Shanya now has the Denizens undivided attention - although confused, it knows that this dagger wielding humanoid must be hurt now. It swipes with claws, and gnashes with teeth, but its wounds are shallow.
The creature seems to swiftly heal some of its wounds.

Shaking her head, Lana begins to explain to the others the intricacies of something or other. "Gap has not, and likely never will be completely gaudy. Break is the most fundamental prison of human life; some with an allocation and others at rejoinder. Progression which encompasses the account lies in the area of philosophy along with the search for literature. Break is disrupting, as a result, the people in question."
She pauses, hoping the others are listening and understanding the importance of her words.
Avora directs the mighty ankylosaur to attack again. It's tail swings in a great arc towards the moonbeast. At the same time, she moves in to attack the creature with her spear, taking a five-foot step so as to flank with Kalt.

The Denizen is stunned by the mighty tail of the ankylosaurus, and the heroes quickly finish the evil creature off.
The slaver and his thrall bubble as the warmth of their twisted bodies cool. Pouches of gems seem to hand from their bodies. One of the gems catches the eyes - a small, moving humanoid figure is visible inside the large ruby, as if it were trapped inside the gem.
Another of the gems, black as night, radiates an aura of necromancy
Denizen of Leng carries a pouch of gems containing 15 small rubies worth 100 gp each and a single larger ruby worth 6,000 gp. There is a dark, black gem.
There are iron rungs set inside the large chimney of the room's fireplace.
Shanya sheathes her rapier and looks over at Lana & Tiknesr as they start to come out of their confused states.
"At least it wasn't as destructive as last time..."
"The black gem is an object called an eye of the void. If we can figure out the command words, it can be used to frighten foes," Avora offers.
The glowing figure in the large gem seems to be quite animate. It gestures at the heroes madly within it's gem prison. Whatever magic animates the figure unfortunately makes it hard to see anything but the outline of the person inside the gem.
Shanya's examination of the ruby leaves her perplexed. "Er... does anyone know why there's a small figure moving around in this gem?"
Lana studies it for a moment before shaking her head. "Perhaps it has been shrunk and stored within the hollow stone... if so, we should guard it carefully until we find a way to restore it to its proper size."
Kalt moves up to stand close to Shanya, studying the tiny figure in the gem and slipping an arm around the changeling's waist as he does so. "Maybe it's just happy to see you?"
He turns his head to look at Lana, considering what she has said, and suggests, "It's a gem, right? If you're right, maybe it can be broken and the little fellow in there can get out."
Kalt extends a hand to Shanya and says, "Let me, if you don't mind? I'd hate to have you break it open and get eaten or something." He accepts the gem from her and looks around at his friends, making sure they're ready for what he's about to try.
Shanya hands the gem off to Kalt.
It takes the Old Rat a minute to shake off the arcane confusion. When he finally stops babbling he takes a look at the ruby that appears to have someone inside of it.
"Hmmmmm, I really feel like I should know that one...but I'm just coming up blanks. Can I tell you how much I loathe having my mind f&^ked with?
"Ugggghhh."
The smash of Kalt bringing his blade down upon the gem is followed by a shower of tiny, glittering ruby shards - the fragments leave a glittering constellation on floor.
The tiny trapped creature cries out, its voice to small and too high to hear. After a moment, it hiccups - the violent exhalation is accompanied by him growing to angle height, followed by another twich that take it to knee height, and finally it gives a shout as it grows to something man sized. The creature, however, is far from human. It is a tall and wide, a heavy, blue-skinned humanoid clad in loose, flowing robes. Its alien face has too many eyes and its hands have too few fingers.
"Cha net oiven plan ne..." it starts saying in a odd languge. It stops, frowning at its own words.
"No me gustaba la prisión de la joya." it begins again, speaking an equally alien tongue. Finally it shakes its head free of cobwebs and begins speaking directly into your minds.
"My savoirs! You have freed me from that awful thing, such a horrendous ordeal! I have lost track of how many years I had been in that awful gem. Please, let me introduce myself.!" It bows low, sweeping its robe back in a flourish. "I am Zilvazaraat, merchant and purveyor of find goods, particularly those that are magical. That beast you slew made a deal and then reneged on his terms. It is as my forebearer always said - never make a deal with a creature from the Dark Tapestry" It slaps his lips together in a profoundly inhuman way, but one that still conveys the creatures disappointment.
"Might I have the honor of your names, my saviors? I owe you a great debt."
