"Well, would you look at this! A secret compartment! That's so exciting. You know, I think it's my first one!" She smiles, then sings a quick refrain and examines the potions for magical auras. Casting detect magic.
"Hmmm... These potions have got me stumped, but this scroll is interesting! It can shoot a ray of fire at your enemies. It's not something I could make work, though."(Scroll of scorching ray, which is not on my spell list.)
She places the scroll in her pack (unless someone wants it) and then reads the journal. "Well, I'll be! The woman who wrote this worships demons and wants to protect a 'beast in the cave.' So she tricked those poor kids into getting her the amulet!" Molly passes the journal onto the others and puts her hands on her hips. "We need to stop this woman and her beast! I wonder if Richelle and Tolwin know where she went, or where the caves are..." She snaps her fingers. "There's a cave just outside! Maybe that's the one. Shall we check it out?"

For those outside the hut - please make a DC 15 Perception check:
You spot some movement behind the big rock across the valley from the flowers, in front of the cave entrance.

If you made the DC 20 Knowledge (nature): You also see the brightblooms in more detail and know these flowers under a different name. But you know that crushed brightblooms confer a +2 bonus when used as part of any Heal check.
You are already standing outside when you all hear a strange sound coming from the back of the hut.
Suddenly, you see that a hidden small door in the back of the hut open that leads to a small chamber that looks no bigger than two square meters ... somebody is in there.
A hooded figure emerges from the small chamber and based on its movement looks either drunk, sleepy or very exhausted.

"You-you think you can take me on? This dragon will- gah!" A female gnome dressed in black tumbles from the back of the hut. Her wayfinder spills forth as she falls face first.
"Gah..." She lifts her head up to see a half-elf pointing an arrow at her. "Momma said there would be days like this. If you're gonna kill me, hurry up and get this over with."
"Oh, dearie me!" Molly exclaims. She puts her hands on her hips, looking rather like a mother, and grins. "Why, you're a Pathfinder, aren't you? I've seen you around the Grand Lodge!" she nods. "I never forget a face! Come on in, sugar, let's get you up!" She helps Acel up to her feet and dusts her off. "There. Good as new! Now, tell me, how in the heavens did you get in there?"

"Wha? More Pathfinders? I guess I should have waited." Acel goes to retrieve her wayfinder. "I came here because Venture-Captain Dreng sent me to look after his friend's kids. HIs friend is dead, yeah? Wanted to see how they were holding up. I heard they were meeting with a middle aged woman and her tiefling son."
"I got near this cabin, and then BAM! Knocked out cold. Dreng did tell me to wait for reinforcements, but..." she takes off her hat to let her tangled black hair air out a bit. "Well, that's my story. What did you find out?"
"Well, hi there, Acel! I'm Molly. This fellow over here is Tera -- he's a sweetheart, I promise. And that handsome dwarf back there is Nei." She offers Acel a handshake. "I'm a waitress down at the Wounded Wisp, and a singer." she nods proudly. "This will be my second mission! We're here to watch little Tolwin and Richelle, too, and let me tell you! It seems like those little scamps are up to no good! They tried to rig the Bloomblossom festival, and then attacked the Bloomgivers, stole their protective amulet, and handed it off to some demon worshipper. Apparently there's something she's raising in a cave. We're just on our way to check out the cave outside. Hopefully that's the right one. You ready to come along, hon?"
You see that the bodies vanish behind the rock. A moment of silence.
Sense Motive DC 20 :
You have the feeling that this could have been an ambush. Molly’s words definitely had an effect.
”Go away! We do not know who you are but you have no business here! This is our final warning and after that you will only feel steel and taste a lot of blood!“ the young man shouts.
"We're from the Pathfinder Society. We were going to offer you a chance to head back to Absalom with us and sign up, if you wanted, but now you're all messed up in this: giving holy relics to evil cultists thing, so we're going to have to have a little chat first. Yeah?" After a moment she pulls out her lute and starts to strum a little tune. "Chatting is so much nicer than forcing us to fight you, sugarplum. Trust me."

"Trust the lass. We really don't feel like beating up on a couple of scrawny kids. Take you over a knee is more like it." Nei makes he way up behind Molly to look at the ambushers.
Acel realizes she needs to be within 35 feet, so she struts ahead.

Molly continues to pluck away at her lute, then she begins to sing a song -- a sad little song, about a pair of angry children who only wanted to belong but went too far. As she sings she strides forward, walking right up to the kids.

Trusting that the others are all doing non-lethal damage, Nei decides that these kids may need a little reminder of their lessons today. After moving closer, the dwarven healer flings a deadly bolt of fire at the male.
Suddenly, from behind a boulder a pale young Tiefling with skin as white as a sheet and freaky little horns appears and aims his crossbow at a vital spot of Acel ... Acel does not see the man in time!

Hello everybody, I just wanted to point out for those that are playing the iconic characters that your background story is still as presented but that your mission to retrieve an item or find a person is not valid anymore as presented in your iconic character sheet!
Your mission is as presented in the briefing! So none of you are searching for their mother or searching for a ring or searching for axes! ;-)

To prevent that from happening again I am now telling all Gameday tables whose game has started how I make fair boon rolls.

Hi guys, I have to leave on an emergency vacation for two weeks so I will not be able to post starting Sep 29.
Sorry but that just came up a couple of hours ago.
I will probably be able to continue the games where I am only a player as I can use my mobile for short posts but GMing means I need my computer and thus I will continue this game only on Oct 15.
Hello everyone. This weekend is Thanksgiving so I will very likely be unable to fit in a post. I’ll be back to regular posting on Tuesday. Thanks for understanding, and I hope you have a great weekend!

Oh, and I typed up the boons I won. Feel free to copy/paste.
Boons
(1 Box) Blessing of Aurelliax: By helping the people of Highdelve, you have also earned the favor of its protector, Aurelliax. As a sign of her appreciation, she has provided you a small golden dragon statuette. You can check the box that precedes this boon to tap into the statuette’s faint magic and gain one of the benefits below; afterward cross out all of the benefits below, (except Dragon’s Friend, if you selected that benefit).
Dragon’s Prosperity: Before attempting a Day Job check to earn additional gold at the end of one adventure, you can use this benefit to triple the amount of gold the check grants you (maximum 300 gp). Dragon’s Luck: Before you roll any one d20 roll, you can use this benefit to roll twice and take the higher result. For 1 minute afterward, you gain a +1 luck bonus on all attack rolls, skill checks, ability checks, and saving throws.
Dragon’s Scales: You gain fire resistance 5 for 24 hours.
Dragon’s Friend: The statuette permanently transforms into a fairly harmless animal with supernaturally golden features, such as gold-hued fur, feathers, or scales. Once per day, the animal can either deal an additional 1d6 fire damage with one natural attack or can gain fire resistance 10 against one attack. You can select any Diminutive, Tiny, or Small animal suitable for a familiar. You can choose to adopt this creature as your familiar, spirit animal, or similar companion, replacing your current companion at no cost. Otherwise, you can keep the creature as a loyal pet.
Highdelve’s Hero: You were instrumental in saving Highdelve from imminent attack and preserving its Brightbloom tradition. If you played one of the provided pregenerated characters, you earn the benefit below associated with that character. Otherwise, choose one of the benefits below. Cross out the other benefits.
(1 Box) Torgen: You have tracked down an errant shipment of expensive goods, which has earned you the favor of Brevoy’s finest merchants. When purchasing a weapon or armor of masterwork quality (or made of a material that is automatically masterwork, such as mithral), you can check the box that precedes this boon to reduce that item’s cost by 150 gp.
