Utter Chaos. Screaming, dying and mostly running.

And Running. And more running.

Perhaps responding to the call for assistance in clearing out the newly found tunnels in the Terwa Uplands was not the best idea. As if anyone really thought that the dwarves were going to actually find a Sky Citadel!

All they had found was a lot of beasts and a slumbering Black Dragon, worshiped by a colony of Kobolds. A big one. Colony and Dragon. The smart folk ran, the dumb ones died.

3 hours of running and trying to hide while the dragon and it's legion of kobolds run amok over the country side. Who ever heard of a legion of Kobolds?!

These thoughts or those similar to them race through the heads of our heroes as they flee. People scattered in every direction, but where ever they seemed to go kobolds were popping out of fissures in the rock harassing and killing.

Our heroes are scatted fleeing down a rocky hill Difficult Terrain They are being pursued by bolds, dozens and dozens of them. Some break off to pursue other runners that broke off in a separate direction.

At the bottom of this particular hill there is a flat open area just before a cliff face, through that cliff face is a small 5 foot wending passage.

"Kobolds! Why did it have to be kobolds!" Epsy exclaims as he rushes down the hill. He looks back and deftly moves to the side, barely missed by a rock. "This is ridiculous! Ah! There! Everyone hurry!" He bolts for the passage as fast as he can.

Impy runs for the passageway, She will block the kobolds and allow the rest of the party to pass when she gets there. She yells

. Her greatsword is at the ready, held above her head as she runs. She looks like she's losing her emotional self control. She looks pretty angry.

The pursuing Kobolds are 2 rounds behind. Impy can easily block the path and allow the others by.

Lou runs dodging rocks and other hurled objects along the way. tripping over a root protruding from the ground his clay jug falling to the ground near him.

not noticeing it at fisrt Lou start to run some more but quickly turns back to grab his jug.

as he reaches for it a rock crashes to the ground by hishand then another and another. Lou dancing to avoid being hit flips and grabs his jug then continues on.

slipping past the warrior woman he pats her on the back as a sign of gratitude. and moves into the passage.

The path winds for a bit, before getting smaller. You will have to slow down, and squeeze to get through. DC 15 Escape Artist will let you move at full speed

Impy:
Impy sees 4 Kobold's closing in. 2 with slings and 1 smiling with their claws and teeth gleaming. They are 40 feet away.

1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12 init for kobolds. 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12 for impy

They will go then you will go.

The sling armed kobolds loose after closing to within 30 feet.

1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15 for 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 The sling bullet slams into Impy's side
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19 for 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 The sling bullet slams into impy's arm

Then the other two move to 5 feet away from Impy each like so

"They're circling around to the front of us, there are tunnels that will lead them there. The Tiefling will guard our passage on this side." He calls out waving his hand. Actually he has no idea what the tiefling say, he's just reading her body language.

Espy and Lou both quickly squeeze through the fissure. Coming out into another clearing about 40 feet across in all directions, with another fissure at the far end. They can also see two tunnels at either end, small enough for a kobold to get through.

Grung will get through one round later.

Perception 15:
The one on the far left side has many loose rocks around it...perhaps you could collapse it if you looked closer.

Impy is enraged (free action). She will hold her action until one of two things happens. If everyone has passed her, then she will act by attacking (5 step diagonally and full attack) the kobold on her right. If one or both of the kobolds steps into range, she will smite the first one to enter her area of attack with a mighty blow as a reward for their pluck and daring.

I messed up the stats. I'm using Herolabs to do all the calculations but forgot to tell the program I'm actually wearing my armour. It's my mistake, so I'll live (or die) with the damage. I've added the stats as requested. The ones in parentheses are applicable when Impy is enraged (AC goes down, HP goes up).

Impy attempts to whack a kobold 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23

Impy chops the kobold in half. The second facing him, turns and flees, while the other two snarl and loose their sling stones again.

She then turns and runs back either forty feet (full move) or to where the line of sight for the entrance is blocked and the slingers will not get a clear shot. She wants to force them to either guard the entrance (remain where they are) or enter melee.

A kobold charges out of the tunnel taking a hard hit to the side from the morning star, it staggers but continues to move. Only to have the whip of Espy snap out at him.

The kobold drops.

Impy if you stop raging you will become staggered, but you cant escape artist without doing that. If you fail that check you will still be able to be targeted though you will have cover. Though they can follow you without squeezing.

After ensureing that the smaller opening is secure of following kobolds Lou starts to make his way into the fissure

Lous sees his companions squeezing through the fissure, he also spots a kobold hidden 5 feet down the tunnel you can take a different action if you would like since you checked it

IMPY dont forget you are fatigued for one round. Also drawing and drinking the potion is your entire round. But you can keep the success of the Escape Artist next round

Impy pops out in time to see a human and hobgoblin being to squeeze into a fissure on the other side of a clearing, and another human stanind peering into a tunnel.

If there is room to get out of the pursuers line of sight, then Impy will do so. If not, then she grabs as much cover as possible. Either way, she'll try to squeeze through behind the guys.

Lou squeezes into the fissure. As he does the kobold pops out of the tunnel and moves to about 30 feet behind lou and fires its bow.

Impy stands in the center of the clearing a little further In front there is the kobold firing a bow at a human squiched into the fissure.

In that case, Impy will patiently wait, sword at the ready. While she is waiting, she will menace the kobold with the sling.

As lou is struggling to squeeze through the fissure he can hear the arrow clang against the rock. glancing back he sees sword wielding woman seemingly on her own.

Not wanting the woman to face the kobolds alone Lou comes back into the clearing to charge the bow weilding kobold.

Ac for this round: 14 (15 base, -2 charge, +1 combat expertise)

He cruises over to the kobold and slams the heel of his hand into the kobolds face, breaking a tooth.
