Mongal (Engaged with Shudder)

Can we get an Init order of some kind? Preferably put in the Game Description so it's highly visible?

Probably best to put it in a Spoiler. But, since it looks like I have an action:

"What kind of rinky dink plasma guns are these if I can literally throw a rock harder and more accurately.?"

"...Mind you I'm very good at throwing rocks, but STILL."

Forzare tosses another at the other quad rocket wielding Mongul.

Mongul 3 maintains his defensive stance behind his energy shield.

Mongul 4 spins end over end behind him, knocked out by Shale.

Mongul 5 shakes off the residue of Imagine's mental intrusion, and turns to fire at Shudder, missing him by a wide margin.

Autofire pistols: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (1) + 14 = 15 DC 25

Mongul 6 attempts to force the tip of his energy sword into Sinter, attempting to draw Sinter's energy into the Mongul's weapon

Sinter make a DC 22 Fort save or lose 10 power points in each power related to your plasma form

Mongul 9 takes a swing at Shale with his energy sword, missing.

Sword Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15

Mongul 10 moves to join Mongul 11, jetting away from the scrum as fast as his little rocket pack will take him.

Who knows what Mongul 12 is up to, he is still invisible.

Mongul 13 is unconscious.

Mongul 14 releases a full round of the minigun on the Javelin, tracking blasts down the side of the craft's hull.

minigun attack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (8) + 12 = 20 makes for a DC 27 toughness for the Javelin.

Mongal calls out to Shudder, "We need not fight like this, fellow ring bearer! Simply declare your allegiance to the Mongul Corps and we shall take the multiverse from its conqueror!"

And finally, Mongal shifts her torpedo shell into a long spearlike weapon, hoping to lance Shudder like a boil.

Mongal attack: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (18) + 13 = 31

DC 31 Toughness for Shudder.

Dr. Robo continues his battle, unaware of the danger that awaits his physical body.

virus attack: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29

Second Wonder Woman? Talking past tense about current affairs. You have got to be kidding me.

"First robots, then invaders from space and now you're seriously telling me that you two are....what? Time travelers? You can't be serious. That's imposs-."

Debbie stops midsentence as she remembers she's carrying a car and looking at a purple half-machine man with a sight line that sits above most buildings.

This is too much. I need to get home. I thought we were wrapping all this up. This smells like a committment and god knows I have enough of those on my plate. I can see this through but whose to say these guys are telling the truth. But even if they are, it doesn't necessarily make them good guys...

"Okay. Calm. I like calm. If you people really are from the future....answer three questions and we'll see where we stand. Who are you? What do you want with him and how did you get here?"

Toughness +20, Fort +10, Ref +3, Will +3, Notice +4, Defense +4

The energy sword should have to make a DC 23 toughness save to make contact technically (or I spent way too many points on that aura for nothing).

fortitude save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23

Guess I can't ignore the funlky.

Sinter, a bit shocked by the sword trying to drain off his substance blasts away at the Mongul.

Sword toughness: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18

The sword cannot handle the massive energy of Sinter and explodes in the Mongul's hand.

Will Save VS. DC20: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28

Robo shrugs off the virus's attack like a child would an unwanted cheek pinch. A spark of inspiration strikes as the green/purple light of the virus grazes his armor.

Attempting to use the code & cipher translator ability in a weird and wacky way.

Mongul 6 yells to Mongal (not sure why yelling in space), assuming you can overhear the broadcast, which is not encrypted:

"Mistress, we are losing, and I believe our mission is accomplished. We have distracted them long enough. Rebel 1 awaits them."

He withdraws from his engagement with Sinter, taunting him as he flies in the same direction as the other retreating Monguls.

"Catch me is you can, Fireman."

As the last of the viable targets, the 5 remaining operational Lex-Sec members target Mongul 1. Imagine drops her control of him as the first of the plasma bolts head inbound.

The super-human beast-man withstands two bolts full in the chest, but a third finds a weak point in his defenses, and the gunner is knocked senseless.

Captain Aterro barks out an order and the remaining guards keep an over-watch, having lost track of at least one of the enemy's infantry. Inwardly he sighs as he sees Imagine become visible.

The sensible advice from the minion and the reply by Mangal comes crackling over her headset....

Rage without peer overcomes Imagine. Dropping cover of Invisibility and Intangibility, she hovers closer, closer to the raging battle between Mongal and the erstwhile Yellow-Ring of Fear. Her mind reaches out, speaking to Mongal, but including Shudder in the conversation.

'Oh no, sister. Oh no no no no no. You do NOT get to come to -my- planet wearing...that...and expect to leave. Oh no. You're coming with -me- and we are going to spend some _quality_ time. Some real girl-to-girl talk, know what I'm sayin'.

Kallark and Skitter follow Redwood to the central chamber of the Hall, finding Captain Robo recovered from his jaunt into VICTOR space.

Captain Robo turns up nothing but articles about the history of monarchs around the world, butterflies, etc. No heroes or villains named Monarch.

Mongal's grapple bonus is 26.

The invisible force of Imagine's will reaches out to enclose Mongal, but Mongal is a creature of both great Will and great Strength. She twists, positioning Imagine's force in such a way that it intercepts Shudder's blast.

She turns toward Imagine and a glint flashes across her eyes. "Ah, so you are here. Rebel 1 will be pleased."

She concentrates for a flash, and an energy construct blowgun appears in her hands. She turns it toward Imagine and launches a dart.

Dart Attack: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (4) + 16 = 20

The dart tags Imagine, causing no harm, but leaving behind a sort of yellow button or jewel that pulses steadily, marking Imagine's location.

I believe that is all I have that you guys can observe. The purpose of Mongal, here, by the way, is to be a big bad higher than your power level opponent so that you have to work together to beat her. She is the thing none of you can beat one on one that inspires some group cohesion.

So new round begins

I put this in discussion, but here it is again.

Combined attack:
-attackers delay to the same point in the round
-attackers make separate attack rolls vs. the target
-take the largest save modifier of the attacks that hit
-for each other attack that hits, add +2 to the save DC

requirement:
-each attack must use the same type of save (usually Toughness)
-each attack must be within 5 points of the save DC of the power they are adding to

example:
-4 attackers hold until the slowest one's turn; let's say the attacks are an energy blast power rank 12, a punch power rank 10, a pistol shot power rank 6, and a mental blast (will save) power rank 10.
-the mental blast could not combine attack as it uses a will save rather than a toughness save; the pistol could combine attack with the punch but not the blast, as the blast is more than 5 ranks away
-if the energy blast and the punch connect, the damage save would be 12 + 2 for a T save DC of 29; if the pistol and the punch hit, but the energy blast misses, the combined damage would be 10 + 2 for a save of 27

Imagine looks down at the tracker, nonplussed. She sends out a general mind-wave, so everyone can overhear.

'Old Hag, your forces have either fled or been rendered incoherent. Your invasion troops are crushed, and the one person that you are trying to seduce is adamantly not that in to you. I'm going to follow an old family tradition and give you an offer that you can not refuse. If you come with me, we still have options. Some of them are rather pleasant. LexCorp can be -quite- kind to it's friends, and, like daddy says, 'An enemy is just a friend that isn't on your payroll yet.'

If you deny this offer, the total, full, and infinite meaning of the phrase 'once in a lifetime' is going to become wholly relevant to you. You have 10 seconds to comply.'

Five conscious but wounded Lex-Sec suits are gathering themselves far away, waiting for evac back to the surface. Five more are gathering at various points, well spread out, fingers on triggers.

Kara makes a mental note of where the space-plane is circling. She sends out another wave, heedless, indeed, hoping that Mongal hears.

'Shudder, Forzare, wait for Sinter's next attack. At that time launch all ordinance at Mongal."

Kara mentally gets a hold of a senseless Mongul body, and raises her hand.

'On my command, unleash Hell. teeheehee I always wanted to say that! =3'

Admittedly it might've been more foreboding without the giggling.

Sinter's blast spreads over Mongal's force field, failing to penetrate.

Mongal keeps her focus on Imagine, "You are so unexpected."

Imagine smiles and blows Mongal a kiss. Her reply is sweet, a girl stroking her lover's hair on a summer afternoon. 'You'll find I'm full of surprises.'

She adds, still smiling, in a tone only slightly less playful. 'Eight seconds.'

So if Imagine is really counting for 10 seconds and everyone else is waiting, that would give me another chance to swat you guys. If that is just poetic license and someone else wants to go before that, go ahead. I will take a new action at about 1:00 pm eastern on Wednesday

I'm somewhat confused...we were all waiting for Sinter's action, but Sinter went first? So are we waiting for his next action? Because that makes no sense. Are we assuming he hadn't gone yet? We were trying to combine attacks, why would he go first?

I think that is up to you guys. If you want to retcon Sinters action or include it in a group attack either works for me.

As Sinter fires his blast, Forzare launches another rock, the Asphalt igniting in tandem.

Attack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (11) + 12 = 23

Great. Now they weren't just terrible murderdeath robots, they were FUTURE murderdeath robots. Well that changes everything!

Debbie watches the two discuss important issues concerning future tyrants and can't help but worry about fate and how this all started. She slowly takes a knee to be more involved in the conversation but also give Robo a cautious look of, "How do you want to play this?".

"Look I hate to interrupt, and I won't pretend to know much about all this Back-to-the-Future stuff, but by coming here, aren't you two...messing with the time streams or some such nonsense?" she asks, exasperated that this day just didn't seem to want to end.

Okay. I'll take that! Yeah, everyone attack with Sinter...and keep on attacking! =) Do we know Mongal's stats, or are they similar to the Monguls?

'Eight, seven, oops numbers are hard, one. Times up!'

And arm falls and five fingers clutch five triggers. Five plasma blasts reach out to Mongal, as an unconscious Mongul minion is telekinetically flung at her.

We have not been given Mongal's stats, but we can probably work them out. Her attacks are +13 or +12, with a DC 31; that puts her at PL 15 (maybe 14 if the +13 attack was some situational modifier). The one time she was hit was by Sinter, with an attack of 15 and a DC 32 (so Defense between 0-5). She failed by less than 5 (1 bruise) on a roll of 3. That would mean a Toughness of at least 25, but less than 29. In other words, she is a massive tank. Very easy to hit, impossible to damage.

Shale's action coming soon.

All of this is reasonable based on what you have observed. I just want to point out a few facts that do or could affect the veracity of your calculations. She has several feats that allow her to move some numbers around, power attack, all out attack, and such things. Also, from a strict rules perspective, she is an NPC, so she doesn't have to follow PL limits, though generally I build NPC's the same way as heroes, with less concern about power points spent. Also, she has "the most powerful weapon in the universe" on her finger. The ring gives her almost any power she wants with a variable descriptor, so she has as much flexibility as anyone outside of a wizard like Fate or Zatanna.

Kallark turns back to Redwood, "We aren't here to alter your timeline, strictly speaking, Ms. Giganta...forgive me, not Giganta. If we wished to do that, we would simply have used the ..., our weaponry to destroy your Earth from orbit. Our intentions are more complex, though, as I have said, we are not free to brief you on those details."

Sweeping around looking for his next target, Shale sees his comrades converging on the enemy's leader. Shale kicks his jet pack into high gear, flying at Mongal. Drawing close, he lashes out with a barrage of swift strikes.

Barrage Attack w/Power Attack: 1d20 + 12 - 5 ⇒ (19) + 12 - 5 = 26

Attack DC: 15 + 12 + 5 + 5 + 5 = 42

FEAR OUR POWER!!!
With that shudder with the others blast Mongal

Team blast: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (3) + 12 = 15

Hero point: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (17) + 12 = 29

"All right. We'll play ball."
Neil keeps in mind that Rebel 1 (and by extension his lackies) are not to be trusted.

"Take us to your leader."
