Right offhand you currently see nothing which is evident of a trap.

A sturdy silver chain jutting from the ceiling ends in a glowing orb that radiates yellow light across the rectangular room. A simple desk of polished wood, stacked with documents and scattered notes, shelters a pair of wooden chests against the south wall. A series of cracks along the eastern and western walls form makeshift entrances into exposed caverns.

"Oh, isn't this just marvellous? I knew the society would be fun!"

Mylvwara grins and almost claps with excitement, then she gathers herself, "Of course, it's obvious we wouldn't be used as mere wine-fetchers."

"It's probably some sort of test to see what we'll do," Dev remarked offhandedly as he made his way toward the desk and examined the documents on top.

Shaya walks towards the chests, keeping an eye out for any important detail.
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14

Virog follows into the room once the others have entered. He walks over to the desk and begins to shuffle through the documents, examining them for anything particularly interesting. He doesn't speak, but furrows his brow and searches the desk area thoroughly, examining any additional documents he finds.

Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18

Skaf investigates as well, looking for stuff at a lower level than everyone else.

Mivvy stands in the doorway, keeping an eye on the entrances to either side.

She also keeps half an eye on the group, trying to figure out if it is appropriate that she rifle through old desks.

Saya lays back , beside Mivvy, commenting "We know not whose these are, perhaps we should not be handling them so cavalierly."

Her eyes also scan the nearby passages,...

Virog grins, "Whomever they may belong to, we seem meant to find them by our dear old oddity of a venture captain. They may yet shed light on our purpose down here in this unlikely hole."

He chuckles, sending the charms in his beard rattling softly. "And besides, how many great pathfinder chronicles started with poking their nose where it didn't belong? Most of them, if I recall correctly."

You begin your search when those of you keeping a close eye suddenly notice that you are not alone. There are creatures coming in from all sides! GIANT CREEPY SPIDERS! TO ARMS! Initiative Rolls!

"Pretty much all of them" Shaya answers Virog. "Myself, it's hard enough not to poke my beak somewhere, so..." She stops abruptly at hearing a skittering, then squawks in alarm. "Beasties! Take care!"
Initiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11

"Spiders! Disgusting spiders! To arms, comrades!"

Mivvy draws her sword with a flourish.

initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9

"Huh? Whuzzat?"

Initiative: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (16) - 2 = 14

Saya smiles at Virog and nods to accept his explanation, opening her mouth to answer ehen the spiders make their entrance.

"Ah... The true challenge!" she exclaims, making ready to do battle...

Deep in thought as he examined the documents on the table Dev is taken off guard by the spiders.

Initiative: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10

Given that it's been a day, gonna start without our missing Skaf. Skaf, when you get here you can roll in and we'll add you.

The skittering spiders seem intent on a snack, and that snack is you all!

Round 1
Only actually able to see one of the approaching spiders, Saya takes a step to stand beside Skaf, her bow raised, arrow drawn back...to be released in that perfect moment of stillness, her intent and will channelled into the arrow's path...

Attack, Flurry of Blows, Perfect Strike, Rightside Spider: 2d20 + 1 ⇒ (6, 8) + 1 = 15

Attack, Flurry of Blows, Rightside Spider: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8

...however, her form was imperfect and the arrows clatter against the stone walls, ineffective.

Yeah, how do I put it in the thread header? I've seen that elsewhere, it's a good idea.

The arrows do very little to the stone walls they strike, and one of the spiders attacks, unimpeded! It goes after our birdy friend and...

VICIOUSLY BITES HER! The horror! It sinks fangs deep into Shaya's feathered flesh and pumps her full of its venomous paralytic. Fort Save please.

Mivvy leaps to Shaya's defence, a look of intense concentration on her face, and lean knot the strike with Cobham's thrust, sway through Jeggano's step, into the Caracle...

The easiest way to keep track of maps is to put it in you alias stat bar, like I did (if you look at the end of my stat line ^^ above these arrows). In you alias click on edit profile and put the url code into either the race or class field.

Seeing his companions run toward the spider on the left Dev engages the spider on his right. He thrusts his rapier toward the arachnid and chides himself, Sloppy.

With a yelp of pain as the bite poisons her, Shaya draws her rapier and tries to return the favor to the beast. You should be the one that eats spiders! Not the contrary!

Virog takes a 5 foot step due south, and casts bless.

Mivvy deftly strikes the spider, but Dev has to squeeze into quite a tight space and as such is not able to effectively strike. Our poor Tengu has a rough time and takes 1 strength damage, then to add insult to injury misses the obnoxious spider that had attacked!

The spider Dev tried to attack bites back! It catches air though, as even in the tight spaces it can't land a hit on the swashbuckler.

Round 2

Saya frowns at her initial failure, but Master Yosti's admonishion comes to her mind The pursuit of the beauty of perfection is a long arduous journey... you will fail...hold to your training, it will provide.

Calming her mind, Saya sees that two of her companions are now between her and her first target. Looking over her shoulder she sees the tengu beset by the othe spider.

Taking a quick step towards the desk she seeks the stillness within and fires...

Saya destroys the poor spider with an arrow straight through the eyes, or at least one or two of the eyes. It twitches violently and falls over. Everyone other than Saya may go now, left spider is dead. Shaya, another fort save please.

Dev thrusts again at the beast, happier with his form. He executes the thrust and steps back, Need a little more room."

Standard Action = Attack, 5ft step back.

While squeezing each square counts double. Unable to make a 5 foot step.

Dev stabs the spider, which squeals in pain! The pitiful sound it makes hurts the ears.

Clear, I'll use a move action (and provoke) and head into the main room

Another Fort: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5 Well, ain't lucky.
Shaya tries to fight the poison, to no avail. Since the second spider is far away, she can't do much but encouraging him through the shivers. "Watch out... for the poison..."

Dev will get AoO'd, and Shaya takes more poison!

Poison: 1d2 ⇒ 1 Strength Damage

Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 2

The spider misses, and our poor Tengu feels even weaker, oh woe be unto our bird-like friend!

Virog will move into the nearest square adjacent to Shaya, and attempt to aid her on her Fortitude save against the poison.

"I'm not terrific at this, so don't squirm too much."

Heal: 1d20 ⇒ 15

He roughly grabs the area around the wound and starts putting pressure to keep blood from flowing away from it. Definitely too coarsely, but with some hope of success.

+4 competence bonus on your next save if I beat the poison DC

Sorry I haven't been on lately. I'm actually running a couple games for the Gameday which I'm trying to hurry through and finish by Friday so I haven't had much time for the games I'm a player in. :) I will try to keep up better going forward.

Mivvy moves beside the entrance to the spider's tunnel and steadies herself, mentally preparing to strike ready action.

The spider just does not seem to particularly care about your wishes, and he follows Dev towards the mouth of the hole, finding a Skaf in the process!

Fangs do not pierce flesh or armor, the spider's bite turned away by armor.

"Woah. Thanks for the help, Virog, I think the poison's stopped. Foul beast, they are not only venomous but poisonous as well, not even good to eat. Feh! Give'em hell, guys!" she cheers her still fighting companions.

Shaya overcomes the beast's poison, with help.

Dev stops his retreat and thrusts at the spider as it reaches the mouth of the cavern. He sighs in frustration as the spider dodges his strike.

Skaf backs up, allowing the spider to reach the others.

Map is read only. I am moving south 10' then readying an electric blast for when the spider moves out of the tunnel.

Virog will draw his light crossbow and load it, glancing nervously at the spiders and grimacing.

He will then take a 5 foot step to the north.

Skaf, moving 10' south would cause you to take an AoO. You could move 5' back and launch that strike now. Dev, much though I admire you, and that will actually hit, I do not imagine you do a d20 damage.

Saya nods with satisfaction as the spider curls up around her arrow, it's life essense pooling on the hard floor.

Turning she sees the others stabbing and casting spells at the remaining spider, and after a moment decided to lend her efforts to its demise as well...

In a flurry of arrows, electric strikes, and stabs, the beast falls! You are mighty warriors indeed, except our Tengu friend who seems much weaker from the encounter (though now at least the poison has lapsed). You find on the desk the handouts accessible from the same link as the map, handouts under pages 2 and 3. You may have even noticed them before now.

Virog will remove the bolt from his crossbow, place it back in the small quiver dangling from his belt, and carefully unwind the crossbow. After a moment's consideration regarding the conservation of spells, he shrugs, and turns to Shaya.

"Bandages okay for now, or do you want I should do some right, proper healing? I can't do this all day, and I don't know how many shenanigans Dreng has planned for us. It's your call, seeing as you're the one bleeding."

"Thank you, it's nothing serious, a night's sleep and I'll be up and running again." she says, hiding the shivers. Ouch. Maybe two. "Right now, I'm interested in these papers. Fake Pathfinders? Hidden clues? An ancient murder plot? Oh, this looks exciting!"
