The glowing red glaive moves and swings at Godwin, but passes harmlessly over his head.

The priest swings her glaive at Vardan, and the weapon bites deeply into the cavalier's side, pulling loose with a welter of blood. Vardan drops to the ground, blood pooling about him. Then looks down at the crossbow bolt that's curiously spinning at her feet.

Sidonia prays for Iomedae's intervention and heals Selindra of all wounds she has.

The scaled mongrel fires an arrow at Godwin and strikes him high on the shoulder.

The fire beetle bites at the mongrelman closest to it but the creature jumps over the mandibles as they click on open air.

Nara moves back over the table and the beetle makes a quick bite to no avail.

Anevia draws another arrow and steadies her aim. The arrow flies and strikes a glancing blow on the other archer's arm.

Selindra moves up to stand over the fallen Vardan, striking out at one of the mongrelmen, but misses in her rush to protect her friend.

Godwin slashes out at the nearby mongrel drawing a red line across its neck. The mongrel falls to the ground, bleeding out.

The tiefling grins as he sees Vardan fall, and Selindra take stance over him. He licks his blade, Let's dance Iomedaen scum! and stabs at the Paladin. Selindra manages to get her shield in place to block the blow in the nick of time before it hit her.

The other human also takes a step back behind the table.

Fomiel fills the mind of the mongrel with confusing images, and it stands there slightly slack jawed.

Round 5

Seeing several of the enemies retreat, if slightly, Drakra renews his belittling.

Ah, is the widdle bad priestess scared of the Inheritor?
Hiding behind a table while her friends die, so brave.

Free: maintain Inspire Courage

Once more, Drakra tries to fire through the melee at the mongrelman facing Selindra.

The crossbow appears properly directed, but ends up just nicking Selindra's shield, then bouncing off the raised blade of the mongrelman before embedding itself into one of the table legs. Of course, Drakra knows nothing of this as he cannot see past the wall of tall people blocking his view.

Selindra now opens her stance more, with some of the threats having been eliminated. Still three to one, she instead focuses on her blade form, and a series of thrusts and cuts, pressing her attack, trying desperately to keep Varden from drawing the ire of the others.

Attacking Mongrelman to her right, normal fighting stance, so AC 19 currently.

The priest pulls out a wand, and gestures with it, and a glowing reddish black glaive appears near her, just as the one that had been attacking fades from view.

Drakra keeps up his string of insults and jibes, which seems to cost him concentration on his crossbow shot which winds up attempting to kill the table.

Sidonia moves forward and lays her hand on Vardan, calling on Iomedae's grace to save the cavalier. The glow from her hands infuses the Cavalier, and some of his wounds lessen, and he finds himself conscious.

The Mongrel to her NW takes a swing at Selindra, but she shrugs it away with a swift brush off from her shield.

Wendaug fires another arrow at Godwin. The arrow passes harmlessly by him to clatter against the rock wall.

The Mongrel (3) uses a two handed overhand chop at Godwin who neatly turns the blow aside with his Falchion.

The Human to the north casts a spell, and an ugly purplish-black aura surrounds her to about 1 foot around her.

spellcraft DC 16:
The spell that both humans use is Protection from Good

Anevia fires at Wendaug (MM with scales) again and the arrow creases her leather armor, but doesn't appear to do any damage.

The Mongrel in the back (1) stands there with a dazed expression on his face.

Selindra gives her unusually sultry response to the tiefling, and then proceeds to slice open the Mongrelman's (3) shoulder as if making her point.

Vardan, although conscious is lying in the tangle of Selindra's feet, the edge of a grease spell and a mongrelman's feet.

The tiefling smiles a fanged smile at Selindra "We'll see who knows what moves, b~$!*. Once this is over, I think I'll keep you as a toy." and strikes with his shortsword. The sword almost gets past her guard again, but she manages to intercept the sword with the edge of her shield.

The second human with a glaive casts a spell as well, and the same aura covers her as covers the other human next to her.

Fomiel unsheathes his claws, and then waits for an opening that he can use to move into combat. If one of the bad guys falls, I'll move you into that spot.

The fire beetle snaps his mandibles at the Mongrel nearest to it, and takes a chunk out of the Mongrel's calf, which seems to snap him out of his daze with a howl.

Round 6
Unperturbed by his previous errant shot, or perhaps just unable to see how poorly aimed it was, Drakra drops another bolt into his crossbow while cocking the string. Perhaps it is luck, or perhaps he has finally learned which side is the sharp end, but the bolt does fall into place. He then, while continuing his litany of insults, aims and fires through the collection of bodies standing before him, aiming for one of the targets on the far side of the room.

The bolt flies true, as do his insults. (Don't know whether it hit with that roll, so hard to add any color commentary).

Ah, look at the widdle demon worshippers. Hiding in their ugly purple glow. Now I know why they hide underground. They are so ugly that even the grass would probably belittle them on the surface.

Selindra smirks, and starts to giggle. Something about the battle changes her, moves her in a way that is unlike anything else. Where normally she always seems reserved and shy almost to a point, now she seems to enliven. Very nearly dancing to a chorus of steel and stone, blood and bone.

Once again she falls back into a more defensive stance, and takes on the stance of the Crusader's march, shield forward and center as she faces the flippant tiefling, though she lashes again at the Mongrelman, another wide arc aimed downward at his head, neck and shoulders.

Fight defensively, attack vs same mongrelman as last time.

The priest gestures and the sickly glowing glaive curves in an arc to Selindra, slicing along her shoulder. She then takes her own glaive and makes an attack on Selindra, which clatters harmlessly off her shield.

Drakra continues his scathing diatribe, and fires his crossbow. To his surprise (and especially the glaive wielder) the bolt fires true and strikes the woman in the thigh.

Sidonia reaches out and pulls Vardan back outside the room.

The mongrel swings a double handed blow at Selindra, but his feet aren't quite as steady as he thought in the grease, and the blow sails wide of the mark.

Wendaug fires a shot at Godwin but in the chaos of the melee, the shot fails to hit anything.

The Mongrel facing Godwin and Selindra, swings a heavy, two-handed blow down on Godwin, slamming into the warpriest's arm.

The cultist with the glaive that was shot, pulls the bolt out, leaving a shallow wound, and glares at Selindra, "Baphomet's will compels you, drop your weapons!" Selindra, I need a DC 14 will save vs a command spell

Anevia fires again at Wendaug and the odd twang of the bow gives no doubts that the arrow misfired badly.

Selindra trades jibes with the Tiefling and then lashes out with her longsword, opening a gash in the Mongrelman's chest.

Vardan, now out from under the crush of feet, gets to his own.

Godwin slashes at the Mongrel with his Falchion, catching it under its guard. The Mongrel staggers a bit, and looks like most of the fight has gone out of him.

The second cultist, inspired by the first, looks at Godwin, "By Baphomet's will, I command you, drop your weapons." Godwin, I'll need a dc14 will save

The fire beetle rips into the mongrel's thigh with his mandibles, tearing out a chunk of flesh.

Selindra growls, her will locked in a struggle with the adherent of Baphomet. She drops her weapon to the ground, and glares at him for a moment, but only a moment.

Her eyes start to burn with a fierce righteous anger, as she shouts out her supplication. "By the heart of the Inheritor I am sustained, and by her strength I am victorious!"

Round 6
Drakra continues his jibes, hoping that someone will manage to take down these much larger-than-a-gnome weapon wielding bad guys. When he sees Vardan's injured state, the gnome realizes that perhaps rather than aimlessly shooting more arrows into the combat, he should try to heal the fighters so that they can take more damage rather Drakra.

Drakra, seeing his companions mostly patched up, takes a step back onto the barricade behind him, (not literally, rather using the barricade for flavor here), loads his crossbow and once more fires through the mass of humanity, and inhumanity, arrayed before him attempting to stick a bolt into the cleric on the far side of the room, about the only enemy he can see in the room.

His bolt flies true, or it would have been true were he aiming for the top sill of the doorway he was shooting through.

Ugly ugly is the one;
Who stands behind the fun;
Twisted face, smells bad too;
Makes your stomach turn like goo.

Ok, so his insults are wearing thin, but he keeps up the mocking which continues to embolden his companions.

Selindra continues her defensive posturing, bolstered by the power of Sidonia's protective spell. She shifts back into a defensive position, and goes to grab her blade and swing it up in an arc to try and finish the mongrel, but nearly loses her balance and her swing goes very wild. Having lost the swing, she instead focuses her mind towards defense.

Fighting defensively, AC now 21, or 23 vs evil.

The sickly glowing red glaive swings at Selindra, misses and winks out of existence. The priestess takes a swing at Selindra, but Iomedae's grace holds strong, and the blow comes nowhere near her.

A loud clack comes from the doorframe, and a bolt is firmly lodged there.

Sidonia touches Godwin, granting him Iomedae's guidance on an upcoming action Guidance +1 on a single attack, skill check or saving throw

The Mongrelmen swing at Selindra, and the divine grace of Iomedae deflects the blows away from the Paladin.

Wendaug fires at Godwin but the arrow flies well wide of the mark, clattering against the stones.

The Glaive wielding human to the north, swings at the valiant fire beetle. The beetle skitters to the side as the blow clangs into the floor. It chitters angrily at the cultist.

Anevia fires at Wendaug again and the arrow slices a furrow in the armor of the creature.

The Mongrel being eaten by the fire beetle attempts to fend it off with a two handed strike of its club. The blow lands heavily and cracks appear in the shell of the beetle, but it gamely fights on.

Selindra swings at the Mongrel, but it dances back out of the way. The pommel of the sword snags on Selindra's coin purse and coins spill out over the ground.

Vardan lashes out at the cultist opening a deep gash on her leg.

Godwin swings at the Mongrel nearest him and partially slips on the grease. His blade scores his own shield with a clang, leaving a gouge in it.

The tiefling strikes out against Selindra, who gets her shield up and deflects the blade, harmlessly.

The Cultist takes a step back and casts a spell, and the gash in her leg knits itself closed.

Fomiel tries to overwhelm the mind of the cultist to the North, and she shakes her head as a blank expression takes over her features.

The beetle takes a chomp at the Mongrel, apparently angry at being hit, and takes a large bit out of its side, and the Mongrel falls over unmoving.

Round 8
Still unable to do much, but happy that he is not the one at whom swords and glaives are being swung, Drakra again drops a bolt into his crossbow. Unfortunately, concentrating on his continued insulting banter, he does not realize that the bolt failed to properly settle into the slot, so when he fires, the bolt shoots straight up into the air flipping end over end before striking the ceiling of the room and then falling back down to land about 2 feet to the left of the gnome. Creasing his brow in concern, and wondering where the bolt came from, Drakra looks up at the roof of the room briefly before returning his gaze to the combat before him.

Selindra gets a bit frustrated with herself having spilled her coins over the ground. Frustration turns to anger turns to holy fury as she seems to calm, and focuses on a more balanced stance with the help of Sidonia's spell and her own inherent training. What before was a dance, an almost flirtatious combination of motion and counter motion, now simply is the movements of a practiced swordswoman. She seems to have become more accustomed to her enemies, and their tactics. She reads the motions of the combat better. Back and forth she dances with the pair, three in front of her, seeing another mongrel fall to the beetle. Filled with lethal intent, and righteous purpose seeing Godwin on target to deliver a leathal blow, Selindra lashes out at the mongrel standing next to her roguish dance partner, a level slash aimed at his neck.

Fighting normally, 21ac with PvsEvil up and running. Target would be number 6, as the only one Godwin can reach at the moment I think is number 3.

The priest once again lashes out at Selindra with the glaive, but it swishes through open air.

Drakra bends down to pick up the bolt that he thought he'd just fired with a shrug.

Sidonia again calls for Iomedae's guidance and touches Selindra. Selindra's sees things with a bit more clarity.

The Mongrelman takes a swing at Selindra, but the aura of Iomedae deflects the blow.

Wendaug fires at Godwin again, the arrow taking him high in the back. He can feel the tip scraping against something in his shoulder.

The other Mongrel facing Selindra swings a two handed blow at Selindra, but she deflects the blow easily with her shield.

Anevia takes aim at Wendaug again, but the arrow flies wide, smacking against the back wall.

After the Mongrel is surprised by the flash of Iomedae's power, Selindra easily finds an opening and stabs the monster through the chest. It slides off the blade, toppling backwards, unmoving.

Vardan steps up on the glaive wielding cultist and drinks a potion, which seems to close a few of the wounds on the Cavalier.

Godwin slashes down at the Mongrel, his falchion cleaving a crimson line across its throat, dropping the creature to the ground, head yawing unnaturally. He then steps up close to the Cultist with Vardan.

The tiefling stabs at Selindra again, but the blade skitters off her armor harmlessly, accompanied with a growl from the man.

The other cultist swings her glaive at the beetle, but the game little bug manages to move its heavily injured body away from the blow.

Fomiel tries to overwhelm the cultist's mind, and she falters a moment, but then regains her resolve.

The beetle attempts to take a bite out of the Cultist, but its wounds seem to be getting the best of it and its bite falls short.

Drakra tumbles into the room and places a healing hand on Godwin.

Sidonia slips past Selindra and Drakra and calls upon Iomedae's blessings to heal Vardan. Iomedae apparently looks favorably and Vardan's wounds visibly lessen.

Wendaug fires at Godwin once again. The arrow skips off the table harmlessly.

The first woman with a glaive swipes at the beetle. The little creature, trailing ichor, moves out of the path of the swing.

Anevia fires at Wendaug again, and the arrow flies straight, piercing the female mongrel in the side.

Selindra takes a wary stance against the tiefling, which leaves her strike off balance, missing as the tiefling dances out of the way.

Vardan, feeling invigorated, takes another swing at the woman, but she gets the haft of her weapon in the way of the strike.

The tiefling dances nimbly to the side with a feint and brings a masterful cut back at Selindra, who realizes she has no way to defend against the blow. Silver sparks fly from the cut, and the tiefling growls as he pulls back what should have been a killing stroke. Iomedae's protection shimmers about Selindra, more brightly where the sword should have struck her.crit threat that didn't even hit!

Sidonia lays a hand on Vardan and offers Iomedae's guidance. Guidance spell on Vardan

Wendaug fires at the warpriest again but misses him in the swirl of melee.

The first cultist steps up and swings at the beetle. The lucky little beetle manages to jump to the side in time to avoid the blow.

Anevia fires at Wendaug, and seems to have finally found her mark. The arrow sticks out of the Mongrel Archer's armor's midsection.

Selindra resolves herself and bears down on the Tiefling, calling on her goddess' name. It seems Iomedae must approve. The Paladin cleaves through the tiefling's armor, leaving a garish wound across his midsection that leaves him gasping.

Vardan drops his longsword, and draws his hammer in order to reach the cultist without moving. Godwin advances on her at the same time. Hammer and Falchion both strike true, and the cultist collapses to the ground, blood streaming from her mouth and nose.Vardan was attacking with his longsword. Sheathing a weapon is a move action, and drawing a weapon is a standard, so he wouldn't have had time to do both and attack

Fomiel dispels the rest of the grease on the ground.

Foul demon worshipper. The ones you hide behind are almost all dead. You will follow soon. Abyss take your soul!

The priest directs the unholy glaive to strike at Selindra yet again, but it seems that Iomedae's blessing is greater than the will of Baphomet, and the glaive skips harmlessly away from Selindra.

The priest growls in frustration and swings her glaive at the Paladin. The blade slices forward as Selindra blocks a blow from another combatant. The blow hisses forward unerringly for the Paladin's chest in what appears to be a mortal blow, but the shield of Iomedae flashes brilliant silver, and the blade which was biting towards Selindra's heart, pierces her chest, but the priest's arm is jarred back, and she lets out a howl of pain and outrage. When the silver light fades, the solid figure remains. Selindra stands, wounded, but alive.

Godwin, I need others to act before I resolve your attack. Too many people in front of you, which may change your action.

Round 11
With his voice starting to become hoarse from the litany of insults, Drakra shouts out a few more lewd comments about the priests hygiene.

At the same time, he manages to get another bolt to slip into the slot in his crossbow before firing at the priest.

Attack-crossbow @ priest: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 4 + 1 = 25
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Confirm Crit: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 4 + 1 = 23
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7 **Woohoo**, confirm (I hope).

The bolt appears to be going wide of its mark, when it suddenly deflects off the priest's unholy glaive, causing the bolt to redirect itself behind the priests guard and directly into her neck.

Last round of Inspire Courage.

Fair enough. I hope the roll is good enough to put the hurt on whatever is in Godwin's range
