Theoden fails to connect and whilst Fauxish does, the blow is not enough to slay the creature, evident by it still screaming in your minds amidst strange questions regarding flying furred fish and delicacies of Azlanti Aristocrats.

Alexis continues to harry the creature with stardust.

"How can one creature be so difficult to hit?" Kat groans as she reloads her crossbow and tries yet again to stick the thing with a bolt.

Attack (Light Crossbow; Bless, Into Melee): 1d20 + 2 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (5) + 2 + 1 - 4 = 4
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 1

"Search me!" Ashton calls back, continuing to maintain a defensive stance and attempting to draw focus away from Fauxish and Theoden.

"How can one creature be so difficult to hit?" Kat groans as she reloads her crossbow and tries yet again to stick the thing with a bolt.

Quick note to self: Learn how to deflect arrows.

Sowwy...

The creature begins to glow once more and Katarina peppers the wall with bolts. The Professor, deep breaths from his nausea fading starts to move forwards with a vial in his hand.

"I have a healing potion!" he calls out to you all.

Screaming in frustration and near death, the Plant creature lashes out wildly, trying to bite Theoden and strike at Fauxish and Ashton with tentacles.

bite: 1d20 + 5 - 1 ⇒ (12) + 5 - 1 = 16

Tendril, F: 1d20 + 3 - 1 ⇒ (10) + 3 - 1 = 12

Tendril, A: 1d20 + 3 - 1 ⇒ (10) + 3 - 1 = 12

Eldren, feeling better now, tries to jump across the chasm!

Acrobatics, running start: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23

He then throws a bomb at the creature!

Bomb!: 1d20 + 5 - 4 ⇒ (9) + 5 - 4 = 10 for Damage: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10

Look out!

Finally throwing off his wracking Nausea, it is Eldren who saves the day with a fiery explosion, the bomb connects with the Plant creature and sets it burning to Ash. It's death screams are horrific in your minds as it cries out that its work was nearly finished.

The Professor runs through the cave and hands Fauxish the potion, allowing her to cure her wounds.

"Well well! The cause of the Phenomena has been stopped, well done indeed!" he congratulates you all as you search the cave for clues and the bones of the fallen at the base of the pit.

"Full recommendations will be sent to your Venture Captain rest assured!"

Searching the cave you find a pile of bones that were the fungus' previous victims. Amidst them you find several items of note that the Professor agrees to subsidise should you wish to purchase them at a later date.

And that is that! Well done guys, sprr it dragged a little there but we are done in time at least ^^. Game has been reported and i will sort chronicle sheets out this evening.

"Wait, that's it? Don't get me wrong - I'm as happy as anyone to be done but I'm still not sure what even happened..." Ashton mutters, shaking his head.

"At this point Ashton, I'm not even sure that it matters," Kat responds as she leans against the nearby wall. "But maybe we can put it all together later once we've had some time to rest and think about everything that's happened and everything we've seen."

She looks around at her fellow Pathfinders and smiles. "It's been a real pleasure working with you all. Hopefully our paths will cross again on future missions...and hopefully those missions will be a little more straightforward!"
