Aodan |
Aodan sheathes his bow and retrieves his short sword. If he has time, he'll ready an action to assist Grayson's sword strike on the little bugger.
"If Grayson could get a couple of solid whacks, I'd bet we get him. Unless anybody has a net!" Good thing they aren't kobolds, or nets would dangerous to us.
Grayson Wulfrics |
Grayson walks over to by Candi and Zilch with his sword drawn ready to swing as soon as the bugger shows up.
"I got this guys, I just need the little turd to show up and as soon as he does, he'll be cut in two!" Man oh man Grayson, if you mess this up they will never let this go.
GM Kyshkumen |
going to need some map assistance. The pest is goibg to appear in the square north of Zilchus. Appearing next to Zilchus the little pain in the rear strikes out with his tail. Target Zilchus: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28 damage: 1d4 ⇒ 4 confirm Zilchus: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12 damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3
It laughs maniaclly as what is left of the wound Grayson gave it fades away. "Yes you will all pay in blood!"
Group is up. Zilchus DC 14 Fort or 1d2 ⇒ 2 dex damage. This might effect his ability to drive a wagon.
Grayson Wulfrics |
Grayson moves up and with his bastard sword attempts to cleave the little devil right down the middle into two.
"Hold him tight Candi, I'm going right down the middle with this fool."
"Time for you to pay in blood!"
Bastard Sword: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Damage: 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
Aodan |
Sorry, iPad seems to be eating my posts.
Per his preparations, Aodan closes to assist Grayson.
Assist with Short Sword: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16
Seeing Zilchus drop, he tries not to panic.
"Desert Mother! Can anyone help him?"
GM Kyshkumen |
Despite the help from Candrana and Aodan, Grayson is unable to hit the little beast. Perhaps he was trying to avoid hitting Candrana or maybe he stepped on a large pebble and it threw of his balance. The the terror tries to rip it's wings free from Candrana.
break free: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18
To Canadrana's shock and horror she feels the leathery wings slip out of her grasp. "YEEEEEES!!!! Now all shall pay in blood again!

Group is up, Zilchus I need a stabilize and a DC 14 Fort or take 1d2 ⇒ 1 dex damage.
Aodan |
Hoping Grayson strikes true (and having been ineffectual in aiding the sword strike), Aodan switches tactics and now tries to help Candrana hold the red pest.
Aid Another - Grapple: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
GM Kyshkumen |
Grayson's attack strikes the creature but again most of the damage heals instantly. Aodan steps in and helps Candrana try and hold the pest as it squirms and tries to break free again.
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14
It fails to break free this time but the wound Grayson caused it already healing. Zilchus continues to pay in blood while Ezekiel tries to think of a way to help.

"I recall one of us finding a dagger of some sort, why don't we try using that!" Grayson mentions as he takes a mighty swing at the creature.
GM Kyshkumen |
Grayson strikes the creature but all his damage from that strike heals instantly. "You cannot defeat me! I will get free and the last one shall pay!" He struggles against Candrana's grip.

"This is clearly not working, where is that dagger and see if he likes that. I'll help with holding him down if one of you needs to rummage through your bag to find it."
Grapple: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Aodan |
Aodan will drop his sword and rumble through Candrana's backpack, looking for the recently acquired dagger.
"Silver. Duh." Apparently I should have paid more attention to the Nirmanthi scout's lessons. That Heladral may have been correct is a rather detestable thought.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13
GM Kyshkumen |
It would just be a standard action to find it in her bag, making it available for use next round. Candrana still needs to make a grapple confirmation this round at a +5. On a success she may move the creature, attack with unarmed, natural attack or light one handed weapon, or tie it up if she has the means to do so.
Aodan |
if it's just a standard to retrieve the dagger, on this same round he should be able to hand it off as a move action.
Aodan will give the dagger so the bigger, badder Grayson can run the pest through.
GM Kyshkumen |
Candrana maintains her grapple and punches the imp with no affect. Aodan hands the dagger to Grayson. The frantic pest tries again to break free.
Break free: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13
He starts to squirm away but Candrana maintains her grip.

"Spill Pest!" Tell us your secrets so painfully purchased and we'll consider letting you live. The lady can decide whether your treachery deserves death or not.
Aodan |
Aodan processes new information into what he's already sussed out. Sarvo's lordship was quite a while back. However, that does not explain all that we've encountered here.
"Thirsty prisoner? Kobolds? Wizard?
Oh yes, and that pesky earth slide that revealed this hidden lair in the first place. "And not a fart?"
He looks down at Zilchus' prostrate form. I hope he's not dying. Still focused on the pest, he nudges the fallen man a bit with his boot, satisfied that there isn't anything else to be done at the moment.
Zilchus Lyghtlode |
Zilch dreams.
Do you remember them? Those eyes of hers. How they shined. They shined for you, you know. They shine still. Look. Look now, and remember.
Her hair is the color of the warm woods and the setting sun of twelve years. Every time he saw it, he was reminded of her mother, and it made him fall in love with her all over again. And her eyes, oh, those eyes. Chestnut brown, but when the sunlight hits them just right, a rich golden hue. A sparkle. Those beautiful, young eyes are darting back and forth, urgently.
Annabelle knows she isn’t allowed to venture so close to the river, but she had been told that the most beautiful flowers grew there, and nothing but the best would do for her mother. They would understand. She would explain it to them calmly and maturely, and they couldn’t stay angry with someone so responsible. Of course, she would tell them after the celebration. After, not before.
GM Kyshkumen |
Prisoners? All fled or died...come to think of it a bunch probably starved to death because no one found them." A wide grin forms as he thinks about it. "speaking about dying is that one still with us? He seemed rather fragile as it didn't take much to drop him. Now what was that other thing? Kobolds? Haven't seen any and the only wizard I know about is sitting in that chair." It motions toward the skeleton in the chair. "I am not sure about this not a fart so I went ahead and made one for you. It was the strong silent type, the Elf should be getting a whiff about now. He laughs as the smell of garbage and sulfur fill the space around him.
