The ceiling is ten feet high.

Only Kynrac and Markavious can see this:

1d20 ⇒ 15

The elven woman chants a spell and then points at Kynrac and makes a wrenching motion with her hands. At the same time he feels his magical flight torn away from him as he drifts toward the ground.

The half-elven man chants a different spell and suddenly a terrifying carpet of centipedes appears, swarming over the party.

Swarm Damage vs Karu, Atum, and Kynrac: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 3, 5) = 17
Plus make a DC 21 fortitude save vs poison or take 1d4 ⇒ 4 dexterity damage and make a second DC 21 fortitude save or be nauseated for a turn.

Swarm Damage vs Karu, Atum, and Kynrac: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 4, 1) = 10
This one doesn't overcome stoneskin so no poison or distraction.

Swarm Damage vs Markavious and Faldoc: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 6, 2) = 11
Plus make a DC 21 fortitude save vs poison or take 1d4 ⇒ 1 dexterity damage and make a second DC 21 fortitude save or be nauseated for a turn.

Markavious is up.

Can swarms overlap?

I seriously spent an hour researching that exact question last night. My conclusion was a tentative yes.

By the way, did she cast a spell to dispel my fly spell? If yes, are we allowed a Spellcraft check?

Fort DC 21 vs poison: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (16) + 12 = 28
Fort DC 21 vs distraction: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (16) + 12 = 28

Kynrac steels himself and resists most of the woes the swarms lay upon him.

90 pts left on Stoneskin, 7 damage taken.

Sure but it seemed fairly obvious. Was it not clear she used a dispel magic?

Unable to cast Markavious flies to the top of the ceiling

The woman fires a volley of arrows on the party. The arrows that hit Atum seem especially potent.

Manyshot vs Atum (flatfooted): 1d20 + 22 - 2 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 22 - 2 + 1 + 2 = 28

Atum needs to make two DC 20 fortitude saves. For each one that he fails he takes 50 extra damage.

Rapid Shot vs Karu (flatfooted, cover): 1d20 + 22 - 2 + 1 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (14) + 22 - 2 + 1 + 2 - 4 = 33
Damage: 1d8 + 11 ⇒ (6) + 11 = 17

Damage: 1d8 + 11 ⇒ (6) + 11 = 17

Kynrac and Atum are up.

Karu, Atum, and Kynrac can ignore the damage from that second swarm. I found the text I was looking for.

Quote:
This spell summons four massive swarms of biting and stinging insects. These swarms appear adjacent to one another, but can be directed to move independently. Treat these swarms as centipede swarms with the following adjustments. The swarms have 60 hit points each and deal 4d6 points of damage with their swarm attack. The save to resist their poison and distraction effects is equal to the save DC of this spell. Creatures caught in multiple swarms only take damage and make saves once.

The more you know!

As the centipedes wash over Karu, he feels their little mandibles break through the Stoneskin and pierce his flesh. He begins to slap at them, squashing a few, but there are just so many...

So 100 pts left on the stoneskin, then. Thanks for the clarification! I'm wondering the same as Karu, since I always like to quote my sources.

Two other questions before I take my action:
1) Atum, what's your current Hp after the volley of arrows?
2) GM Feral, who's still invisible now among our enemies?

The text I quoted is from the spell that summoned these particular swarms creeping doom. That leads me to believe that the damage from normal swarms does stack.

All of the enemies are still invisible. They have greater invisibility.

Kynrac steps aside and out of the swarm, then retrieves a scroll from his haversack and casts the spell. Yet the scroll doesn't dissolve into nothingness, but remains whole.

5-ft step, move action to retrieve a scroll of invisibility purge, then standard action to cast it with my Mnemonic Vestment to use my caster level instead of the scroll's (as well as keeping the scroll). Sorry Markavious, but we need this.

"Let Irori's truth find you, wherever you are! Appear before our eyes and be destroyed!"

The magic of Kynrac's scroll washes over the room, revealing the hidden enemies to all. Even though they're revealed the forms of the half-elf and the elf are blurred and difficult to pinpoint.

The swarms pursue the party. The insects chasing after Markavious climb up onto the ceiling and drops down on him from above.

Unable to exploit his weak points, the elf fires a yellowish ray at Karu that saps the wind from his lungs. The half-elf chants a spell and points at Kynrac before retreating down the hallway.

Ray vs Karu: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (6) + 12 = 18

Karu is fatigued. He needs to make a DC 16 fortitude save or become exhausted instead.

Kynrac needs to make a DC 19 fortitude save or be turned into a frog. This is a polymorph effect. If he fails the save he can also make a DC 19 will save or he fully believes himself a frog.

I think you misunderstood Karu. That second ray hit you making you exhausted now.

Despite being winded by her magics, the Bold Strider manages to land a solid blow on the elven sorceress. Looking pretty battered now, she retreats another step and flings the same vitality-sapping ray at Kynrac.

Ray: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (4) + 12 = 16

I think that just barely hit. If not, ignore the following: Kynrac is fatigued. He needs to make a DC 16 fortitude or be exhausted instead.

Kynrac's wall of flames completely incinerates one of the swarms. The other two continue stinging and biting at the party.

Swarm Damage vs Atum and Markavious: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 6, 6) = 20
Plus make a DC 21 fortitude save vs poison or take 1d4 ⇒ 1 dexterity damage and make a second DC 21 fortitude save or be nauseated for a turn. Markavious, if you fail the save vs poison you don't take the dex damage but your follow up save for last round's poison is 2 points harder. Also make your follow up save (DC 23 currently) or take 1d4 ⇒ 1 additional dexterity damage.

Swarm Damage vs Kynrac and Faldoc: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 1, 3) = 9
No new saves necessary. Didn't overcome the stoneskin. Kynrac needs to make a follow up save for the poison (DC 21 currently) or take 1d4 ⇒ 3 additional dexterity damage.

1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Suddenly three large earthen elementals spring up amidst the melee. Almost immediately they begin slamming the party with their stony limbs.
