GM Erich |
Here is the discussion thread for my Solstice Scar game for PbP Gameday 6
Iskar |
Iskar and Zaas will be my contributions. Iskar is not up to date yet, but will be in the near future. Zaas is updated.
Laara |
Dotting in as well. Will need to update the profile next week (away from home on vacation right now), but Laara is a unarmed fighter, ready to box her enemies around the ears if needed - and can cause them a bit of extra trouble when she does.
Unchained Thug (and Scout) Rogue/Brawler. She hit ideally for nonlethal, maybe making them afraid or frightened with Enforcer
Chaine "The Butcher" Alazario |
We are starting on or about Aug 25 yes?
GM Erich |
August 25th start date. I will open it up for introductions and roleplay about a week prior to get everyone settled in so we can hit the ground running.
Iskar |
Iskar and Zaas should both be up to date now. Will double check before we start.

I don't do non-lethal damage well, but I too am an intimidating presence with a 1 level dip into Thug. We could alternate frightening our foes. :-)

IIRC I signed up with my paladin, but it looks like we're probably good for frontliners, so here's everything I have in tier(ish):
Miklos Lebeda, Fighter 4/Rogue 4/Aldori Swordlord 1 (face/acrobatic frontliner)
Brother Desmond, Paladin 9 (face/frontliner)
Muhdzuzi, Kineticist 9 (ranged blaster)
Lyan Firesoul, Inquisitor 9 (frontliner, some knowledges)
Hugh Veridian, Rogue 8 (acrobatic frontliner/skillbot/trap finder)
Gromsk Barbarian, 8 (frontliner)
The Restful Spirit, Monk 8 (frontliner [good against incorporeal])
Vim the Wise, Oralce 8 (face/knowledges)
Whaddaya guys want?
Grim Krieger |
I also can bring a ranged character if needed, although I am limited to open characters atm.. The other I have to offer is an Enchanter Spec Sorcerer 8.
GM Erich |
Greetings Pathfinders, we will starting shortly (Friday to be exact). I hope you are all excited for what should be a fast paced and exciting special.
Make sure that your characters are all updated and ready to go and feel free to post an introductory post in the gameplay thread (you are at the Grand Lodge) so that we can get to know your character a bit and so that I can verify we have all six of you ready to go.
As far as gameplay, this being a special, I want to try to get in a post from everyone at least once a day. I have the capability to post once during the day and once at night (US time) but of course, that will be governed by your posting rate. If you know you are going to be unavailable for an extended time, feel free to post botting instructions here in the discussion thread. In the absence of that, I reserve the right to delay your action if your posts grow more than a day apart.
I will keep track of buffs and hit points in the combat threads. Please update your AC/CMD for "long term" buffs (lasting more than a round) in your title line or at least note them in your posts, so that I don't have to go through your posting history whilst trying desperately to harm you. Also, keep your sense motive and perception bonus up to date as I will sometimes roll those en masse too.
Once we set initiative, and those that are up have posted their actions, I will resolve actions in initiative order, so make sure you are careful about your friend's charge lanes and such when posting your actions. Also, feel free to ready or delay should that benefit you as well.
Let's go get them, Pathfinders!
GM Granta |
If you would like to know the status of our special as a whole, there is a tracker here. Other than the active/inactive markers, it self-updates every time the document is loaded, so the information is always current and accurate.
Reaching one of the milestones in an active row will trigger some sort of event for all the tables.
Chaine "The Butcher" Alazario |
This is awesome! :)
Iskar |
Chaine....HOLY CRAP!
That is all. :-P
Chaine "The Butcher" Alazario |
That... only happens when I roll a 20. So, not often. LOL!
Hugh Veridian |
Just a heads-up, I'll be moving this weekend, so my posts will probably be bit a sporadic the next few days. Just go ahead and bot me when necessary. Flanking and snide comments are Hugh's preferred ways to deal with problems.
GM Fuzzfoot |
Another group of Pathfinders cheers your successes, and wants to aid you further!
You have just been passed an Aid token.
GM Erich |
We have received an aid token.
One of you can use it during this encounter in one of the following ways. Then we pass it on. If we want to spend an action we can boost it for the next group. More on that when we actually use it.
Allied Offensive: A Pathfinder agent strikes a creature at the same time as the PC, increasing the damage dealt by one attack by 2d8 points. In addition, after the attack, anyone attacking the target is considered to be flanking it until the beginning of the attacker’s next turn.
Burst of Healing: A Pathfinder agent heals all of the PCs of 3d6 points of damage.
Timely Inspiration: A Pathfinder agent provides the effects of a bard’s inspire courage bardic performance (+2) for 3 rounds.
Laara |
Orcs should have just accepted the tokens... :)
Full orcs of course: Laara means no disrespect to Grim or Iskar
Chaine "The Butcher" Alazario |
I'll wait to do my post for a little bit in case one of you want to hitch a ride with Chaine/Silvermane. If I don't hear from you guys shortly I'll assume the answer is no and do my action.
Grim Krieger |
I would but Grim would have like a -4 ride check.. Id rather not fall off, take damage, and be prone..
Chaine "The Butcher" Alazario |
ok, no problem... will do action now
Chaine "The Butcher" Alazario |
I didn't quite understand the mechanics of the tanglefoot bag GM Erich - thanks for the explanation!
I removed the post now that you've told me that scraping the goo does not remove the entangled condition. I would like to please request permission to redo my actions for this round.
Chaine "The Butcher" Alazario |
Thanks for the redo and sorry about the inconvenience.
Chaine "The Butcher" Alazario |
Torrag: genius move with that aqueous orb... wow!
Chaine "The Butcher" Alazario |
If I understand two days (in-game) have gone by since the bulette+orcs fight? can we consider ourselves rested?
Torrag Grimm |
Torrag: genius move with that aqueous orb... wow!
Thanks. I really wanted to gather them all up and drop them off in the Black Tentacles. That was a fun series of fights. I actually had a battlefield to control.

GM Erich said:
You need to make a decision as a group - help guard the perimeter of the camp against undead incursions (or worse), or find Medda and the other Twinhorn leaders and try to talk some sense into them. I'll proceed once three of you have agreed on a choice.
I personally don't have a preference... Chaine has decent diplomacy and intimidate, but he doesn't mind the battle either. We've had a lot of battles, so maybe some of you would like an RP encounter?
Hugh Veridian |
Hugh's not much of a people person, so perimiter duty sounds good to me as well.
Laara |
I'd vote slightly to the leaders, but will be fine with either/group decision.
Also, while the timing is spectacular for a timed Special, I'll be traveling out of country starting mid-Friday through 10/10 (so till the end of this). I should still be able to post, but likely only in morning and/or evening GMT.
Chaine "The Butcher" Alazario |
Leaning towards the leaders as well. That's the most important part of the mission from Chaine's perspective. Otherwise, why did we fight all this way?
Iskar |
Leaders works for me. We seem more inclined to intimidate, but diplomacy ain't bad either.

As we are nearing the end of our illustrious journey, please PM your email so that I can get the chronicles out to you.
Also, go ahead and roll your Dayjob here (don't forget you get an automatic +5 bonus from the orc-town interaction in the scenario)
Thanks
