Hope everyone had an enjoyable weekend.

I know things have been slow over the last two months but I would really like to pick things up again and get them moving forward. I wanted to check with you all if you thought we can try and get to at least a 1 post per day posting routine? I *usually* tend to post during the day and can actually usually post mutliple times throughout the day between 7:30 - 3:30 Central. I may or may not be able to post in the evenings. As such if we can get back to at least once a day I can make sure to post by around 8:00 every morning.

I am fairly certain we did in fact loss Sal. I haven't heard back from him. We can continue with this group if you all are ok with that or see about recruiting one additional player.

Still here and usually available for one+ a day. Could go either way on recruiting another character. I always think the more's the merrier (up to 5, anyway), but it always seems surprisingly difficult to find someone to stick around, considering how many people claim they're looking for a game.

At least to some degree. Olik can help with that and we can wand it up as well but always good to have a second. Rogue or arcane support might be nice as well. Guess I'm pretty open.

Actually, if we want to keep moving forward we can simply have Virgil and Batah come and find you, calling away Malik and Salador on another more pressing mission for the society. You could catch a glimpse of the coming into the big hall where you all were up on the balcony.

A quick question for the DM...why am I here? Is there a story I should be following, or just make it up??

You're a Pathfinder. You were sent here, feel free to make up the why as long as it isn't too out there. The basics of why their is an interest from the PFS is in the spoiler below (from the first post in the Gameplay)

Background:
After some succesful missions with the Pathfinders you have been sent into the River Kingdoms to the town of Thornkeep. Thornkeep lies about 10 miles from the broad, sluggish West Sellen River and the ruins of the once-prosperous town of Mosswater. The settlement is a disorderly, ramshackle affair that huddles on a low hill beneath the bramble-covered walls of its namesake castle. The presence of the castle provides the people of Thornkeep with just enough protection to deter the pirates and brigands of the nearby River Kingdoms, while offering Thornkeep’s own bandits and thieves a safe base from which they can prey on traffic along the West Sellen or the Crusader Road.

The current lord of Thornkeep is Baron Tervin Blackshield, who seized his lofty position by murdering his predecessor 2 years ago. Such has been the way of things in the forest town for 80 years or more: whoever is strong enough to depose the lord of the castle and make it his own claims the title of baron, and rules until the next would-be lord wrenches power from his grasp.

The Society recieved news that the Wizards of the Goldenfire Order have recovered some historical tapastry that may provide new clues to unlocking the Door of Seven Stars in the Accursed Halls which hasn’t been opened in thousands of years.

Long ago, the evil Nhur Athemon—a powerful wizard and devotee of the demon lord Abraxas—fled Azlant with his household and slaves, making the distant Echo Wood his home in exile. He raised a tower atop the very hill where Thornkeep now stands. Ever fearful of discovery by his enemies in Azlant, the wizard-lord raised webs of illusion and magical wards to conceal his presence. Ultimately, however, Athemon’s efforts were to no avail—in time, his enemies succeeded in divining his location. Azlanti wizards and soldiers broke into the hidden stronghold and destroyed Athemon and his followers, leaving little trace of the outcast’s stronghold aboveground. However, the soldiers missed the workrooms and conjuring chambers under his palace.

Over thousands of years, Nhur Athemon’s wards slowly failed, but enough magic remained to make the hidden vaults a place of darkness and horror. The humans of the nearby lands avoided Brokenhelm Hill, but the goblins of Zog delved eagerly, seeking the power they sensed sleeping here. Goblin miners cut tunnels to reach parts of the complex buried during the long-ago destruction of Nhur Athemon’s palace, and goblin adepts eagerly experimented with the magical properties of the halls, often causing their own demise.

With this new information of the Door of Seven Stars you have been dispatched by the Society to be the first to try and figure out a way to enter and explore the lower chambers of the ruins. While a number of chambers in the Accursed Halls have been explored no one knows what lies in wait behind the Door of Seven Stars. You have made the long journey into the River Kingdoms only now arriving at the gates of Thornkeep.

Also, you do bring the message that Salador and Malik (the two characters we have lost) have been called back to the lodge for a pressing matter.

Np :P I was so confused though because I was looking at your 12 HP but then you had Con damage for -14 HP and I was thinking how is that possible, is she just unconcious permanently until the con damage is healed? :P

Also just for reference, with the con damage you are actually at 1/4HP, not 4/18 :(

OOC simple Stirges. They are pretty easy to deal with but the conditions of the room just make them nasty (IE jumpbing pillars makes you flat footed which makes there attacks easier to hit which makes it easier for them to start grappling and draining you.) Once they are attached though they are very easy to hit as you saw once you two moved up.

Yeah, i figured it were those stirge thingies. Bloody awful creatures, if you ask me, definitely given these conditions, like Dak said.

And yes, i know i'm at max 4 hp, but this is so - don't forget my max :)

Edit: strangely, they aare *less* lethal for 1st level characters than 2nd :p

Coincidentally enough, I think I recognize stirges from a picture in a 2nd edition monster manual. I had the books but no one to play with, so I'd just create characters and look at the pictures.

So... I am checking on some things in regards to buying scrolls and the ability damage since these are PFS characters I don't want to gimp you on your wealth just not sure how to handle this situation directly in regards to the PFS OP rules.

Ok, so as it is you can essentially just rest in town if you want. Though that is going to take some time. Essentially 3 days worth of full rest. Or you can buy some potions of cure lesser if you would prefer to speed up the process. You would imagine that the goblins seemed to be there for a reason so the longer you wait the more likely it will be that they might reinforce themselves.

Just let me know your plan. If you got one lesser restoration and rested for one day she would only be down -2.

Tamarie will find someone to make her the potion (300 gp if I'm correct) and then rest a complete day, just to speed things up :)

Well, you can actually get it for 50 gp from a Paladin's spell list. Not sure if that is PFS legal or not though. Otherwise the standard druid/cleric is 300 gp.

Yeah you could buy the spellcasting at the local temple. There is a shrine to Gorum and a shrine to Hanspur, though the cleric tending to the shrine of Hanspur isn't high enough level to cast it.
