Audia, please roll Reflex.

Tobbs's bit is vicious and nearly takes a huge chuck out of the thug north of Audia.

Sadly he miscalculates and after dealing damage falls down the well he leapt over.

Tobbs takes 3d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 4) = 8 falling damage and is at the bottom of a 30 foot deep pit.

im going to call bs on that. If Tobbs would be in the well at Ac36 I wouldnt have him attack from there. He would attack from AD36 instead. The map is not clear on which squares are in the well, and your guys fighting on partial well squares makes it more confusing.

Map Undead M Railroad Engineer 13

Calin, that's not a partial square and Tobbs is attacking across the well with a melee attack which by it's nature means he's having to extend himself across the well- which none of the enemies are doing. Additionally the wells, based on the map, take about 7.5 feet in diameter. The average length of a male lion is 8 and half feet to not quite 11 feet - I can't see of a way for even the most athletic cat to perch over the well and take a meaningful bite without overextending at full size and Tobbs is not yet at full size.

If you have a question regarding positioning you need to ask me before declaring movement and attack.

For this instance only if you want to move Tobbs a different way that's fine.

Additional Note: By its nature PbP has some restrictions on what can and can't be done like they can in real time, including DM's warnings about feasibility. Unfortunately that sometimes means that when you declare something you have to live with it in a way you might not at a physical table.

Map Undead M Railroad Engineer 13

While I've never thought of doing it, yes you can take a 5 foot step during a full attack (which includes spellstrike), and since technically spell combat is just casting a spell as an "off-hand" attack I don't see anything that would prevent you from doing spellstrike to a separate opponent. That makes me like magi even more.

The crit does confirm so you drop the man in front of you and advance to AD41 and attack the man there.

Same DC from the note! - You still have to explore and examine the room to the north and the room up the corridor past the basin.

Loot from the bodies:

The boss has a number of different items on him - a set of studded leather armor, a composite shortbow (Appraise DC 15 to determine + Str) with 20 arrows, a kukri (Appraise DC 10 to determine quality), a gold funerary mask (worth 50 gp), and his unusual khopesh - it appears to be made of pink mineral salts somehow hardened (identify) needed. He also has a key and 21 gp in a small pouch.

The goons each have a scroll, a vial of oil and a small vial of some kind of potion. The also each have a dagger, five darts, a shortsword, a spellbook (all 0-level spells are present, I'll figure out which 3 1st level spells are in each later but they each also have mage armor) thieves' tools, a brass funerary mask (worth 25 gp) and 3 turquoises (worth 10 gp each) and 4 gp. You notice that they all also have rather fine cloaks on their back identify needed.

I bet you're not b!+$$ing about loot now.

Ptemnib shakes his head.

I will be glad to talk, but let us return to the Grand Mausoleum first. I must rest.

You notice that he's quite dirty and was obviously beaten severely by the goons in the underground.

Map Undead M Railroad Engineer 13

Note: there is just no way you'll be able to pile everything on so before you leave if you want to take all your loot to some holding facility like the Grand Mausoleum or the Temple of Abadar (instead of your inn or on you all the time which is not safe) you'll need help. Now that's a great typo.

You could always go hire or buy a wagon you know. It's only 525gp for a heavy wagon and a horse! Of course you have to be able to store your wagon, and defend it (although it would be awesome to have you guys driving the wagon through the city while perched on top firing arrows at pursuing undead.)

Appraise:

The bow is a +3 STR composite shortbow, and the kukri is masterwork.

Identify:

The leather armor are all leather armor +1 and the cloaks are cloaks of resistance +1; the sword is a rare item called a natron fang.

A natron fang is a +1 khopesh forged to combat the undead (specifically mummies and the incorporeal undead) carved from a single chunk of magically hardened mineral salts. A natron fang overcomes the damage reduction of mummies, mummified creators and other mummy-like creatures at the GM's discretion. Once per day on a successful strike against an incorporeal undead creation, a natron fang also deals 1d6 Charisma damage (will DC 13 half) in addition to the weapon's normal damage. (If you sell it you could get 3640 gp at market price - but remember depressed conditions due to panic and the gold limit now that the auction is over!)

well that is dope, we won't be able to use it until tomorrow, but does that look like a fun weapon for any of you to use? And even though he is surly and shady Ibrahim is our man

Well, it would have been nice to find out where they were smuggling the grave goods and bodies so we could move to the next step in their route but I suppose cutting one head off this hydra will have to do.

I thought you were with the church of Pharasma, no? If you really need that information we can take the leader's corpse back to the temple with us and your guys can ask it about it.

Posting on the run. Will come back tonight to talk about the loot.

The cleric looks at Albus in disgust.

You want us to disturb an unclean soul in death?

Better to disturb one of those than to, I dunno, Let some sky god come back and kill us all. Rameth says as he frowns at the busted bottle of whiskey, before pulling out another one.

No. I am suggesting you use a beginner's spell on a piece of meat. The magus answers exasperated.

Rameth checks the scrolls 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23 spell craft
1d20 + 13 ⇒ (16) + 13 = 29 alchemy for the potions
1d20 + 13 ⇒ (13) + 13 = 26 alchemy for the oils

Dwalindor is still interested in buying a magic weapon if we do not find one first.

Ptemnib looks at Albus and Rameth in horror.

Look at these men!

He waves a dirty, bruised hand at the corpses.

Although the ka has fled, the ib remains! To disturb any portion of the soul before its journey is complete is abhorrent! You must be an outlander to understand not even these simple truths.

Note: I'm aware of your campaign trait Albus :D

Rameth, your expert knowledge of alchemy allows you to determine that the potions are potions of undetectable alignment, the oils are oil of taggit and the scrolls are scrolls of whispering wind.

Calin, the room contains no traps but you see two chests, one of cedar and on of iron, in the room, along with a desk that has a quill pen, a vial of ink, several small slips of parchment along with a curious figurine of a bird made out of tin, with three actual feathers forming its tail.
